No undercoat, no smell, little to none drool, highly intelligent, loyal to the death, affectionate, goofy, really good with other animals and kids. There's no way no one could say a better breed exists. The only dobermann flaw is their short life span, as it is with all dogs since they should live forever. Thanks for the video! I loved to see so many owners with well behaved dogs, using appropriate tools and respecting each other's spaces. The dobermann community is like the breed somehow: passionate yet cool and respectful, another great perk of the breed
I work in biotech genetics. Dogs should live as long as Wolves (in captivity) which is 20+ years, perhaps even close to 30. The amount of constant inbreeding in order to create and maintain “pure breeds” required to meet peculiar aesthetic requirements led to lower and lower genetic diversity. Breeding (inbreeding) within a family leads to individuals with multiple copies of defective genes which cause disease and can be passed on to the next generation (as opposed to wild random mating population). Accumulation of defective genes and area of genetic sequences with multiple errors leads to degradation in biochemical and physiological measures as the get older. This could be addressed using modern genetic manipulation and sequencing techniques to yield dogs that live much longer, but would take a lot of money. I do wonder if it will every happen, what may be easier and more likely is cloning a specific (using genetic sequence samples stored while alive) after it passes. I think this may already be occuring with well heeled owners
@@jpslaym0936I have heard about this. I guess for now, we can only make sure we deal with a reputable breeder and see that they have done their own health testing? Even then I suppose there’s no guarantee. Those vet cardiologists get expensive
I love my Doberman!! She is protective and no one sets foot on my property when she is around! She is smart, loving, and beautiful and she is a head turner wherever we go! She gets so many compliments! The neighborhood kids just love her and she is so gentle with kids and kittens!
Because when you were younger they were telling you that they were monsters but then when they got a little older you realize they're the best dogs ever
On my second doberman, I'm a huge fan of the breed. Not only are they sweet loving pets but as a single woman I feel incredibly safe everywhere I go and in my home. I'll never have another breed ❤
Love the NorCal Dobie Crew!!! Thanks for hanging with us, John! I had a blast sharing my experience. Being a Doberman owner is a big responsibility but a dream come true.
I love the Black and Tan, my girl is so cuddly. Sleeps on my bed or doorway. Rarely more than a few seconds away from me, but chills when I am at work.
I grew up watching Zeus & Apollo keeping Tom Selleck on his toes in Magnum PI. There were obviously other dobes on tv, but their obedience, agility, visual presence & yet modest proportions are all endearing characteristics. We temporarily had a rescue dog as I was a teenager, although he wasn't accepted by all the family & as such didn't live with us for many months. The velcro aspect took some getting used to with our more recent European working line female & really created a strong bond with myself in particular. The lady in your video summed it up by saying it was 'a lifestyle choice', whereas most dogs don't necessarily require such attention to detail, with all benefiting from good training & socialization. Hope to have another when time comes. Not everyone wants a hairy monster like a German Shepherd or a manic Mallinios. Dobermann are more for the connoisseur who appreciates their specific challenges & daunting appearance.
9:55 That's how it was for me getting a Doberman for the first time. Prior to the Doberman breed, i've never thought about hiking, dog parks or nutrition. All that has changed and i think it's for the better.
I was 5 years old when I first fell in love with the breed. While everyone else around me (friends, other kids in school) was falling in love with labs, goldens, poodles etc, I was falling in love with Dobermans. I’m 30 now, have had dogs all my life, but never one of these majestic creatures. I’ve done the research, talked to friends and family who used to own them (in a way, I kind of grew up with them, I guess?), I’ve also been watching your channel for years. I’m chronically ill and disabled among many other things and have been looking for the perfect service dog prospect for me personally ever since the beginning of 2018. I’ve decided to go with a Doberman. And hey, if it doesn’t work, I will at least still have my heart breed to keep me company for the next 10+ years, I’d rather try and make it work with a Doberman than any other breed. These dogs are simply magnificent, and I know I have what it takes to be able to raise and handle one, it’s the people around me that doubt me but I’m ready to prove them all wrong. Plus, as someone with cptsd, social anxiety and severe agoraphobia, I’ve a feeling that not many people are going to want to approach me if I’ve a dog like that by my side, which to me is a very big advantage. But for those who do end up wanting to approach, I’ll do my best to educate them on both service dogs and the breed itself. Excited and scared for the journey ahead, but I feel prepared. Thank you for such wonderful, educational and at times funny content. You’re one of the many reasons why I feel so confident in raising a well behaved Doberman.
@@kingstonthedobie thank you so much♥️ i won’t sit here and say i’m not nervous as hell about this whole thing, because i most certainly am, but i also genuinely feel like a dobie is the right dog for me :’) i now have a chance to properly raise one, a chance that i might not have in 10-12 years or more, so of course i’m going to take it. i’ll definitely get pet insurance as well!
I like a lot of things about the doberman, so it's hard to just pick one thing. I like their loyalty, intelligence, elegant appearance, protective qualities, the way they are owner-focused... the list just goes on and on. Great dog.
My brother in law AB has had a rough time after he lost both his legs in an accident. He rebounded like a hero and now walks 10+ miles a day on his prosthetics(!!!), but the struggle is not a joke. When AB’s family came to visit from France, Bowie immediately bonded with him and basically wouldn’t leave AB’s side for the entire time they stayed with us. Bo sat at AB’s ‘feet’, he lay down outside the bathroom when AB was in it (he only does that for parents usually) and he generally acted like AB’s shadow. We’ve never seen him adopt someone like that! It really gave AB a boost to be treated that way and it shows why we choose Dobermans.
Dobermans are so amazing man, i just lost mine recently to lymphoma cancer he was a great doggo :,), ill never forget the times he would bark when i tapped the glass door from the otherside when he was inside,he loved licking the kitchen windows for some reason, he would bark at you if you stopped petting him
We got Rambo (11wks) a few weeks ago when mom stopped nursing. At 8 weeks old he made absorbed a fair bit of training. Had him potty trained in a week. It's our first Doberman and we're attached. Him and I have bonded. About to really get into more commands and socializing is going well and will continue. My parents bread and raised Dobermans when I was young and I've always wanted one. Now that our kids are teenagers it's a good time for us.
I love the intelligence! We lost our first boy at almost 10 to oral melanoma and were absolutely lost without him. We got our 2nd boy a few months later and went with a black and rust from a very reputable breeder. He has been a handful for us but he is turning into a very well mannered young man. They are just loyal, family pets and I absolutely love that they are velcro dogs.
I think interestingly social media is helping people see that Doberman's are really great dogs that have got a bad rap over the past few decades. I love this breed! Yay to the resurgence!
I wish my local Doberman group (if it existed) had more than 3 Dobes in it. A city of 40k and only a handful here at best. My girl, Nyx, enjoyed this video very much. She is an avid viewer of Doberman Planet.
Dobermans are the BEST dog breed EVER!!! Their senses are literally amazing! My Lily will be 2 years old tomorrow (July 8th 2024) but I got her at a little over a year old, already house trained and already knew several commands, but I'm having difficulties getting her to walk on a leash beside me. She wants to run up ahead and I'm working on it and she has gotten a little better but still a ways to go. I'm sure all Dobie owners will say the same thing, "I'm unbelievably and undeniably in love with mine" she's amazing!!!! The sheer intelligence in this breed is mind blowing. Lily is my 2nd Doberman. My first was also an American female but was well over 40 years ago and I'm so happy to have another one! Lily is attached at the hip with me, as all Dobermans are, and I love that about this breed! I need to have her tested for DCM and other markers cuz she is a rescue and I want to know if she's prone to any of them but praying she isn't. Lately she's been panting quite a bit and it's got me concerned. No dog owner could possibly understand the bond between an owner and a Doberman unless they've had one!!! I've had many different breeds of dogs throughout my life but a Doberman is hands down the GOAT (Greatest of all time)!!! I love your channel and thank you! To all my fellow Dobie moms and dads, Thank you for loving a Dobie or 2 or 3 or 10!!! It's a huge commitment and soooooo worth it! ❤💜❤💜❤💜❤💜❤💜
John, we in Toronto have certainly seen a lot more Dobermans in the last 4 years. Like all Doberman owners, they tend to have a chat. Thank you for your RUclips postings. It helped our family.
I grew up with a Dobby as my dog for the first part of my life...,I was born in 71', She was an adult dog when I was born but she was around till I was 8, overall she was my rock....my Mother never worried about me when Mittens was around. They are a fantastic dog and no one would ever go wrong with one.
I’ve always wanted one. Just never was able to afford, didn’t have permission to own one, or couldn’t find a breeder. Now all that is changing and I’d love to buy one that’s pre-trained. I love Doberman dogs.
Most of my Dobies have been adult rescue dogs or dogs that need to be rehomed. I've adopted Dobies over 20 years. I've had wonderful Dobies in my life. All of them knew at least some commands and were potty trained. As with all Dobies each are unique and have one of a kind personalities. They all have their unique quirks and goofiness. John has done a couple of videos with rescue Dobies. Definitely worth watching. This may be an avenue you may consider pursuing.
I just love my dobie girl! She is my second dobie, from a doberman rescue. Loving, smart, beautiful, protective, and loyal! She is buddies with my King Charles Cavalier, as well. As long as I can, I will always adopt a doberman...so many out there looking for loving homes! ❤
I’ve had four. Three of those were amazing great dogs. The adult I have now was the most costly, also the worst socially and least well mannered. I’ve taken him to training and done all the work. He’s a great watch dog and freely roams our few acres at home but we can’t take him anywhere. He is 3 and a half years. Hopefully he will improve with age.
They’re the best! Mine is currently using my foot as a headrest while I’m on my iPad 😂My Roxie is in tune with me, my constant companion. At 14 months I can already go away from home and she’s just mellow and hangs out on her dog bed, I do have a collection of chewy toys for her to keep her occupied. Great dog, playful with the grandkids too.She is not protective yet, loves everyone. She is our third doberman.
As a child I wasn't allowed to get one because my mom called them "Hell Hounds" but after getting my first boy I can honestly say they're loving companions and great guard dogs.
I wanted a Doberman I remember maybe starting 2 years ago. I just thought they looked cool then I also learned they had a cool personality and is just an over all great dog. Then I found this channel and it is my #1 to watch for Dobermans even tho I won’t get one anytime soon I still love to watch and would love one one day
The Doberman is THE best family dog hands down. Just my opinion in my experience with having 4 of them 😍🥰❤️ Absolutely amazing creatures 💯 they are very unique in how they love the family and how they protect the family. It's definitely a very very rewarding experience, get a Dobie! You won't regret it.
I’m so glad I came across this channel! Just like Cruz, I also have a 8 month old Doberman named Kai and he’s awesome. I wanted nothing but the best for my first Doberman. Keep up the great content!
I had two, i was babysitting grand kids one day the kids dropped off by their mom. The Doobie didn't see Mom drop them off. Then that afternoon when Mom came to pick up the grandkids, the Doobies stepped between Mom and kids and let her know she not touching these kids. It was hilarious. But they meet Mom and everyone was fine.
The Doberman Pincher I believe to be one of the most misunderstood breeds out there. Example, on a walk out in the rural area of my town, I came across a "Ken" (Male Karen) walking his dog. The dirt path we were walking on was about 30-40 ft wide and I was on one side with my Doberman, and "Ken" was on the other side walking his dog that seemed to be some kind of mid sized terrier type dog. He saw us walking towards him, he turns around, and begins to walk the other direction. Then he stops turns and begins to yell at me to why we are following him and begins to record a video of us on his cell phone. I asked him if he was ok, we just wanted to pass to go home and to say Hi, he began to yell at me that my Doberman is a vicious dog and get the hell away from him and his dog and if my dog does anything he's going to sue me and my dog is just chilling next to me. So I said, sorry to have bothered you and we just kept walking. People think Dobermans are some savage breed that kills spontaneously or something. I know Doberman's can be pretty hard core, but they are taught to be that way, most Doberman's I have come across are kind and gentle. Just blows my mind to see another dog owner act in such a manner when there was TONS of space and the dogs were like 40 feet away from each other. Crazy.
Some people are crazy and very judgmental. You handled it great! My feelings used to get so hurt when I'd come across people like this, but now it hardly makes me flinch lol
I have a 9 month old Doberman and where I live I get stopped all the time ppl saying wow I haven’t seen a Doberman in years or oh I had a Doberman 20 years ago she loves all the attention too.
Got ours March 1st. Wanted one since i was a kid. Blessed to see her on petfinder front page. Awesome dog. She is practically attached to me . I cant go in another room without her following me. If i start petting my other dog she gets right in front of me. Lol
My parents (that I didn't grow up with) had three Dobies (as well as two weimaraners) the Dobies were a black, a red and a fawn. Misty the fawn changed me from being terrified of dogs to loving them (most of them). She was whip smart and a smart ass! If she got me laughing she wouldn't stop till I was covered in kisses and tears of joy. I would have one in a heartbeat🎉
I knew zero about Dobermans until I repeatedly babysat my Doberman's parents in my home overnights. I fell in love and had to have one. Especially from those particular parents. Of course they are protective and capable of doing so, but my oldest doberman is now working as a therapy dog in local nursing homes and schools. My youngest one is only 5 months old and time will tell what kind of work she wants to do. I love them also because they shatter stereotypes.
I got my Doberman as a rescue, she showed up at my mom's with scabs all over her. After taking her in I realized that she also had her teeth filed. Needless to say we did not look for the owners. She's the sweetest kindest animal I've ever known. Not much in terms of a security system for me, but after what she's been through, she doesn't have to be.
I have 3 dobies. My 2 & 1/2 year old melanistic white guy, Casper. My 2 year old black and rust girl, Jade. And my 18 week old red and rust girl, Ginger. I am obsessed with the breed! It doesn't matter how rough of a day I'm having, they can always make me smile!
Channels like your gives a chance for people to get interested in getting a Doberman. I never knew you could even find Dobermans. I was trying to adopt a dog and a Doberman was available.
Why am I in love with my Doberman? There is too much to describe. She has so many good qualities, that it's not easy to pick any one over the rest. I swore that I would NEVER own one after being bitten while riding my bicycle 46 years ago. But, I was looking to replace a dog that died. I tried to adopt a few from the local shelter but, they weren't available. The person who drove me to the Parish (county in the 48 other states) shelter saw a couple who were returning a female Doberman. She asked if they were surrendering her back. They said yes, the lady (friend) asked me if I was interested in meeting the dog. I agreed, to see if we clicked. It was love on sight. I adopted her and we have never been happier. Adopt a shelter dog. They will love with their all.
I live in Argentina and I grew up in the 80s watching the dogs Zeus and Apollo on Magnum PI and loved seeing those dobermans. Over the years, I had several dogs, including a fabulous weimaraner, but two years ago I remembered my old love for doberman dogs and decided to have one for the first time. Max is my first doberman, who will turn 2 years old in a few days. He is a majestic dog, black and tan with natural ears and he is very affectionate, although he generates fear in strangers. We love him very much.
The same negative news was going around about German Shepherd dogs being mean too. Well that has a lot to do with how you train them and also what you train them for. I moved to Ogden Utah in 1979. I bought a German Shepherd puppy. I named her Chanel. I took her to puppy training classes when she was a puppy. I worked with her a lot everyday. She was very friendly and the best dog I ever had. I had Chanel trained so well I could take her for walks in downtown Ogden on and off the leash depending on the situation and she also followed hand signals. Chanel was very smart and I loved her❤with all my heart. I've never had a Doberman but I like them a lot too.
My parents owned several dog breeds growing up. Famous words of my parents "shut the door, the dog will get out" who left the gate opened? " forever spending much of my childhood chasing the family dog back home. As a young adult, I owned a Husky. It ran from me all the time. My husband always wanted a Doberman. I'd always disagree with fearing for the children's safety. One day, I encountered a few drunken men while walking alone at night. I decided it was time to get another dog. One that would protect me on my evening walks. I researched the doberman and learned they were great with family. I bought myself my first European Dobie. I quickly learned their true nature and their devotion to their family. That dog would bear the storm and protect my babies at all cost. Always at our side. They never leave your side regardless if you forget to close the door or gate. Hell you don't even get privacy to go to the bathroom alone half the time. Needless to say, most people would not attempt to go near me while walking at night with my Doberman and those who did (if I was scared) most definitely were introduced to the strength & power of a fearless Doberman. He never bit anyone but sure knew how to give a stern warning as they approached. It's been 5 years since his passing and we recently got another now 9 weeks old. Extremely smart. He's learned to Sit, Paw. Spin, Lay down, and sit handsome with 2 paws all in the first week. Magnificent Breed and the only breed I'll own for the rest of my days.
Love hearing your testimony, Tania! They are a protective breed and absolutely adore their family. It's great that after you did some research, you decided they were the right breed for you. Now, you'll never regret it!
I've had 2. I put my first one down a year ago, my heart is still completely broken. Random people still see me out in the yard and ask where she is - she obviously imprinted on many people that met her. Best dog breed in the world.
Crazy how many people name their dobermans after Magnum PI. I don’t have one, but that show is what got me interested in them, plus I remember how so popular they were in the early 80s until Rottweilers took over.
So sorry to hear that you had to put your Doberman down. Our thoughts are with you! Here is a video to help you find a good breeder: ruclips.net/video/UB9KeM_CJA4/видео.htmlsi=Hn61e8ExVaqH2j90
believe it or not when I first saw the breed I was 2 years old and even as a toddler I was amazed by this breed. At 18 years old i started doing my research on the breed fast forward to when I moved out of my parents house at 24 I bought my first doberman and its been such a journey, I love him. No matter where I go in public he receives so many compliments and looks. His presence is like no other but I always tell people that he's a handful and if you dont have the time or resources to train him its going to be a major challenge. Training my dobie has been a blast specially since they're intelligent dogs. It amazes me every day
Sadly, over here in the UK they are being given up to rescues in huge numbers. I think its a lot to do with not researching the breed and how much work is involved 😢
i can see these dogs being very tough to handle to inexperienced dog enthusiasts. my dobie is my second dog, my first dog died at the ripe age of 16.5 years so i went into my dobie with a lot of dog experience, and it shows in his behavior and temperament. we have dobie rescues here but raarely if ever see them in shelters. my breeder gave me a clause that if i ever had to give myy dog up they would take him no questions asked.
I have had 2 Dobermans. There loyal smart very easy to train and very proactive. Because I have seizures (WITH NO TRAINIG AT ALL) The second Doberman I had he would bark get me over to the bed even before I realized I had problems and then he would lay on top of me to keep my from hurting my self. Sadly right now I am in an apartment that will not allow big dogs but I love them and in time when I can I intend to get one. I also love Great Dane so been thinking of getting a Doberdane to have a best of both worlds.
I think one of the reasons that they were more popular many decades ago was because of the television show Magnum pi. As a result of that show so many people are still naming their dogs Apollo and Zeus. As the show went away, so did the popularity of the doberman. I think the Doberman is now making a comeback based on its own merits instead of a television show.
Love Dobermans because there attentive to me/owner n yet are great family pet's. Have a solid/melanistic white/cream Dobie with light blue eye's! Love being different & found out about the white & had to have one! Am stilll torn between white or original blk n rust, but blk n rust are band 😢 from a lot of places, so with my white she goes EVERYWHERE!! They are just sharp looking & there power/strength, but still control. They want to be with you - velcro - Love that! They're smart, Loyal 11:40 & eager to please. They on alert & let ya know if something is coming. There natural Instinct to protect, BUT yet ate such Lover's & goof ball!
I have kids in this day and age. My Dobie doesn’t need to be trained in protection, I don’t need to worry about her accident my biting anyone. People see my toddler holding her leash and immediately back off. No one’s gonna mess with my family when they see her and that layer of protection, not to mention how much of a beautiful addition she is to our family. Oh I love Dobermans
exactly I have a presa canario x GSD, she's really cute and goofy looking with one ear up and the other dangling to the side, but people are still terrified of her 😭 some people love her and want to say hi but she ignores them, she's friendly just presa canarios are funny with strangers. I took her into a shop the other day (one that I've gone to for years and usually I have my lab with me as my assistance dog but I know they do allow dogs anyway as long as it behaves.) and this guy was in there who kinda waited in the corner, he said hi and was smiling but he didn't move then I went to pay the guy told me he'd been waiting in the corner cuz he didn't know I'd my dog was friendly, then telling me he has a little cockapoo and couldn't believe he was seeing a female with 'such a serious dog' 🤣 including my own I know 4 presas or presa crosses, 2 owned by guys 2 owned by females, the only one that has no control over his dogs is one of the guys 😂 and he's at least 6 foot tall and really strong, but completely lacks control. I had to grab his dog the other day, I held her collar until he came to get her, she was calm for me, but mental for him 🤣 I told the guy in the shop my dog was friendly and that I wouldn't have taken her inside if she posed a threat to anyone. he relaxed a bit but still kept his distance. but hey, I'd keep my distance if someone took a little spider in a shop, in fact, I'd run out the door screaming like a baby 😂
G'day from Perth Western Australia, love your video's. I have owned Doberman for last 27yrs currently have my 3rd boy 2yr old red(chocolate)/tan named Logan. I have noticed that they are becoming a lot more popular here in my part of the world. Lived in my neighbourhood last 18yrs I was only person to have a Doberman now in last 5yrs there are 5 Doberman owners in my neighbourhood.
Hello John! I grew up in Napa and went to SSU. In the 1970s there were a LOT of Doberman around the area, mostly let loose in retail and commercial properties, and I was afraid of them. I am not sure why my attitude changed recently. I have a five-year-old vizsla and they are velcro dogs, too. I now live in WA logging area and take her to run off leash in the "forest," her favorite word. She goes everywhere with me, however today was much too hot to take her on my errands and sit in the car. I left at 8:30 am and returned at 7:30 pm, and her steak was untouched, as was her water. As well, my knee has been bothering me, and it is difficult to take her for the five-mile walks (25 for her) that we did two years ago. (I'm probably going to pay out of pocket for a new knee.) I started considering adopting an old dog to keep her grounded on days that are too cold or hot for her to sit in the truck, but with her not getting enough exercise due to my knee problem, I am considering a Doberman, for all the reasons people mention. HOWEVER, I travel frequently, and find that many motels are not allowing dogs over 50#, I assume in order to restrict pitties. I just say she's 50# even though she's about 60" (tall for her breed). Do you or anybody else here have any experience with moteling with Doberman dogs?
One The Doberman are majestic and beautiful Two people are realizing that they are not the monsters they were portrayed to be back in the day they're actually super sweet and smart So you have a beautiful dog that is actually a great family dog and people are realizing it now
The ears for me. And how active they are. Greyhound is my 2nd favorite. Also, there is a big wide open smile or mouth. I wish I could move my ears like them
Brains, brawn and beauty. Doberman's are one of the most intelligent dog breeds in the world. Dobermans are powerful, fast and protective. And, Doberman's are extremely beautiful, their silhouette is the most recognizable silhouette in the entire dog world. They are the only dog breed that was bred from the beginning to be a personal protection dog. A well bred Doberman is one of the best, and most capable dogs in the world.
I yesterday saw a street artist and he had a doberman who was holding a little basket for money and it was the cutest thing ever, shame I was in a rush other wise i would’ve defenitly pet them and given him a tip
Crazy I just made a Doberman video but I wanted to use a few seconds from your Doberman color chart if possible. My dad was the best attack dog trainer in Lehigh Valley in the 70s and 80s. We had many breeds of dogs but a female Doberman pincher is the best gaurd dog family dog we have ever had. She saved my life and a few other people. My community 35 years after she passed away still talks about her. So I am asking if I can barrow a few seconds from you video. I will not show you are your children only the dog. I also had a blue Doberman in early 80s . But I never seen a white Doberman before. Great dogs. Peace.
@@DobermanPlanet I have been looking at the website for the Doberman Rescue of North Texas but I’m not sure they will adopt to someone who is so far away. I’m in west Texas, about 5.5-6 hours away from them and they are the closest to me. I have looked into the local shelters and they have plenty of dogs but no Dobies. As a matter of fact, I got my first Doberman from one of the local shelters about 30 years ago.
The breed is a great size dog. They are always attentive to what's going on around him and me. Mine is well mannered but if he sees it as a threat or concern they put them selves between me and what they are observing.
My female Doberman (8 years old now) does not bark when someone knocks at the door. She now just goes to bed like I asked her to do during early training sessions. The poodle is the gatekeeper here.
I adore this breed my brother had one over 30 years ago and he was amazing … i really hope the younger generation don’t decide to get these and use them as aggression dogs and spoil the breed
Hey John! I'm a new subscriber to your Channel, because soon I will be a first time Doberman owner. I really like your videos (mostly because Arlo is adorable) and because I really learned a lot from you. My only question is if my new Doberman puppy is able to slowly switch over to raw meat like my American bully is eating (She is 8 years old now), because i've been seeing many of your videos of your doberman eating kibble. So do you have any suggestion on what I can do to switch it? LIke, slowly starting to put the raw meat into her (My doberman's) Kibble? I really appreciate your videos :)

When the insurance company asked what kind of security system I had in my house, I responded with 2 Dobermans. 🐾🐾🇨🇦
Haha love it!
Then they dropped you
Told my insurance guy the same thing.
I get a discount on my home insurance because I have a dobe 😃
Best friend ever. Picks up on my feelings. So loving.
The perfect breed was created about 100 years ago. 😮😊😊
The lady with Kingston spoke that so perfectly about Doberman 💫💕
thank you!
@@kingstonthedobie you and your dog are amazing 🤞🖤
I love the Black and Tan, my girl is so cuddly. Sleeps on my bed or doorway. Rarely more than a few seconds away from me, but chills when I am at work.
So no separation anxiety?
What did I love about my 2 Dobies? They're beautiful! They're intelligent! They're loyal. They're fierce. They're very loving.
Beauty, brains, utility with high EQ…Dobermanns have it all ♥️
I have Dobermans. Easiest dogs ive ever had.
smartest, most loyal, protective & loving dogs 😊
Great judges of character, when strangers come around.
I got my first Doberman in 1978,a red male.I've had five total, with my last one passing last August at age ten,she was my only girl.Best breed ever.
@@jettechdonatkins Hello jettechdonatkins. 🙋🏻♂️ I had 2 beautiful girl Dobies. My 1st one was red. My 2nd one was black.
9:55 That's how it was for me getting a Doberman for the first time. Prior to the Doberman breed, i've never thought about hiking, dog parks or nutrition. All that has changed and i think it's for the better.
It really is a lifestyle change!
Your Dobie will be perfect for your needs! Best wishes to you and your future service pup/companion!

@@mississippiparkreviewer13 sadly i’m not in the US, otherwise i’d definitely look into them. thank you, though!
Great dog.
I had 2. They were wonderful.
First time Doberman owner, Makita is now 7YO. I have never have had a more loyal dog.
I've rescued 25 so far since 1979! There will never be another breed for me.
Yay to the resurgence!
agreed! ❤❤ I love mine and I love how he is helping to dispel those negative things people say about Dobermans.
I wish my local Doberman group (if it existed) had more than 3 Dobes in it. A city of 40k and only a handful here at best. My girl, Nyx, enjoyed this video very much. She is an avid viewer of Doberman Planet.
We love our Doberman, Daisy, because there’s no other dog with such unconditional love and affection.
everyone says that about whatever breed they have 😂
Dobermans are the BEST dog breed EVER!!!
They are amazing and well traind dogs ive been looking for a new one
Oshawa Doberman....
She rules the neighborhood....
Best pup ever she 15 months now 💖
Man, makes me want another Dobie🐕🐾💜
Dobermans are just a glorious animal! All the reasons people stated for getting one is why I also want to get one someday.
I just love my dobie girl! She is my second dobie, from a doberman rescue. Loving, smart, beautiful, protective, and loyal! She is buddies with my King Charles Cavalier, as well. As long as I can, I will always adopt a doberman...so many out there looking for loving homes! ❤
For over twenty years I've adopted Dobies. They are great. Thank you for adopting.
Hopefully he will improve with age.
i had 3 dobys growing up at diff times and i loved them so much
They’re the best!
Way to prove your mom wrong!! ;) They ARE wonderful, loving companions.
Awesome! Does your mom see the good side now?

Most loyal and loving breed there is. Best first defense bark ever too.
I've got a big red girl. I've always wanted one, been obsessed since childhood. My favorite thing about her is her "Goofball Velcro" personality.
I’m so glad I came across this channel! Just like Cruz, I also have a 8 month old Doberman named Kai and he’s awesome. I wanted nothing but the best for my first Doberman. Keep up the great content!
Keep those videos coming great work
I had two, i was babysitting grand kids one day the kids dropped off by their mom.
I have a 3 month old Doberman and I'm crazy about her :) hello from France
Hello from Southern California, USA 👋
Got ours March 1st. Wanted one since i was a kid. Blessed to see her on petfinder front page. Awesome dog. She is practically attached to me . I cant go in another room without her following me. If i start petting my other dog she gets right in front of me. Lol
Adopt-a-Pet is also a good resource.
❤Doberman❤best dog ever!!!!❤
I knew zero about Dobermans until I repeatedly babysat my Doberman's parents in my home overnights. I fell in love and had to have one. Especially from those particular parents. Of course they are protective and capable of doing so, but my oldest doberman is now working as a therapy dog in local nursing homes and schools. My youngest one is only 5 months old and time will tell what kind of work she wants to do. I love them also because they shatter stereotypes.
That's a great turn-around story! They are wonderful dogs!
Great to see the videos after all the years my Doberman is family ❤
They sure are!
I took my doberman to Yosemite National Park. He got a ton of compliments and not a single negative comment about how “scary” they are
I have 3 dobies.
😮 Had my doberman back in the 80's ! She was by far the best dog I ever had ! 40 years ago and i still miss Amy Lynn ?? She was my Shadow 😅😅😅
I've had 2. I put my first one down a year ago, my heart is still completely broken. Random people still see me out in the yard and ask where she is - she obviously imprinted on many people that met her. Best dog breed in the world.
I have had two dobermans for 50 years an the biggest drawback was the health problems, but I see an improvement in recent years
The Dobie is an amazing dog.
Crazy how many people name their dobermans after Magnum PI. I don’t have one, but that show is what got me interested in them, plus I remember how so popular they were in the early 80s until Rottweilers took over.
Love the breed! Been looking for one since April when I had to put mine down due to deteriorating health. Best friend you will ever find.
So sorry to hear that you had to put your Doberman down. Our thoughts are with you! Here is a video to help you find a good breeder: ruclips.net/video/UB9KeM_CJA4/видео.htmlsi=Hn61e8ExVaqH2j90
That seems like heaven to me.. I would love to adopt one so bad… since I was a child 😍
believe it or not when I first saw the breed I was 2 years old and even as a toddler I was amazed by this breed.
@@Acolis I'd have to be dying to give my boy up, but his breeder would be there in an instant too 😊
I have had 2 Dobermans.
Wow! What a smart dog to be able to help with your medical issues with no prior training. He just knew his owner needed help!
Love that your Dobie is so well trained that your toddler can hold her leash!
exactly I have a presa canario x GSD, she's really cute and goofy looking with one ear up and the other dangling to the side, but people are still terrified of her 😭
some people love her and want to say hi but she ignores them, she's friendly just presa canarios are funny with strangers.
I took her into a shop the other day (one that I've gone to for years and usually I have my lab with me as my assistance dog but I know they do allow dogs anyway as long as it behaves.) and this guy was in there who kinda waited in the corner, he said hi and was smiling but he didn't move then I went to pay the guy told me he'd been waiting in the corner cuz he didn't know I'd my dog was friendly, then telling me he has a little cockapoo and couldn't believe he was seeing a female with 'such a serious dog' 🤣
including my own I know 4 presas or presa crosses, 2 owned by guys 2 owned by females, the only one that has no control over his dogs is one of the guys 😂 and he's at least 6 foot tall and really strong, but completely lacks control.
I had to grab his dog the other day, I held her collar until he came to get her, she was calm for me, but mental for him 🤣
I told the guy in the shop my dog was friendly and that I wouldn't have taken her inside if she posed a threat to anyone.
he relaxed a bit but still kept his distance.
but hey, I'd keep my distance if someone took a little spider in a shop, in fact, I'd run out the door screaming like a baby 😂
I have been blessed to raise them for 34 years now I currently have three angel guess and Cosmo they are my best friends donies till I die !
I love my Doberman and I want a 2nd one now 💜💜💜 I can’t imagine owning any other breed
My last one was prince and he was bought by my uncle and transported from germany
GREAT VIDEO!!
If breeders stop inbreeding and prioritize genetic diversity over linebreeding to keep winning at dogshows, maybe the breed would bounce back again.
Absolutely!
One The Doberman are majestic and beautiful
Two people are realizing that they are not the monsters they were portrayed to be back in the day they're actually super sweet and smart
So you have a beautiful dog that is actually a great family dog and people are realizing it now
The ears for me.
Great video fairplay.
People almost ask me on a daily basis when they see mine from where they can get one 🐶
I miss my Laika. Hope to have another one soon.
The "doberman planet" channel says everyone wants a doberman, amazing.
Love your channel 😀
Great dogs. Peace.
I lost my last Doberman just over two years ago and want another one. My only hesitation is because of my age because I don’t want it to outlive me.
Look into a Doberman rescue center! If you adopt an older Doberman, he or she will always be thankful to you.
Might consider one for our next family. Ty. I’ve had American bulldogs, presa, bullmastiff and Rottie.. curious about them
The breed is a great size dog. They are always attentive to what's going on around him and me. Mine is well mannered but if he sees it as a threat or concern they put them selves between me and what they are observing.
Love the doberman
