I was out here favoriting the romance-oriented comments because it seemed like they had the monopoly on talking up the intricacies of the relationship. Quite glad I found you, though.
The Idiot and his loving Bullfriend, this is amazing and perfect!
I love their dynamic. Theseus is an egotistical asshole, but he’s a damn good friend and brother-in-arms to Asterias.
This is fantastic! I adore Asterius and Theseus and the different ways they interact with Zag and your framing and the expressions convey it so well with the voice acting
I didn't think I would become a Theseus stan but here I am
"He could never threaten our bond. He doesn't even understand it--"
"GOD, NO, I GET IT ALREADY, YOU LIKE BULL WIENER, JEEZE. It's not even original, ask his mom!"
I always pictured Zag edging towards the door the whole coversation. "Nope... nope... not getting into this."
As a side not LOVE this. Well done!
Everyone needs a friend like Asterius
I see a very complicated but strong bond between these two.
This animatic is officially what got me into the fandom and ultimately what made me buy the game
It is among my top 5 titles of all time by now and the sequel will no doubt join it there
who would have thought one animation would turn me from hating theseus to tolerating him because of one golden interaction
Weirdly deeply sweet moment, well-depicted. Loved the emotive expressions, well done.
Zagreus: ... HOW DA FUK DID I GET STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS!?
You know the last time I felt such sexual tension between duo bosses was the twin princes of Lothric...
they should star in a buddy cop movie
Dammit this animatic is so cute is forcing me to appreciate Theseus
"He doesn't even understand it."
Zagreus and Thanatos: Are we a joke to you
THIS NEEDS MORE VIEWS MAN!! I love how you draw expressions SO MUCH and you convey emotions absolutely wonderfully. Keep up the amazing work dude ♥
This was AMAZING!!! Oh Asterius your husband is so dramatic!
Zagreus: And they were roommates
Literally everyone else: Omagawd they were roommates
You can’t spell bromance without romance 🥰
I just remember getting to this fight for the first time and freaking out that these two were fighting me together and were at least cordial with each other. and the actors just made it enjoyable to come back.
When you’ve been in Tartarus for too long your best friend/ hype man is a Minotaur (a talking bull)
Not to mention the talking bull you sent to Tartarus xD Now that's enemies to lovers!
FOR MANY PEOPLE. In the Fandom......these 2 are... Into each other....
*HAAARD....*
"Brotherhood"
Oh, soy they're roommates 🤗
They certainly were standing next to each other
"Brotherhood" he calls it, we all know Theseus
*The duality of man*
Yay we helped Asterius
Boo we helped Theseus
Asterius saying "swear to me king" makes me GAY SWEAT
I always loved Theseus. I don't even think he's a douchebag or anything, he's a showman, the public NEEDS it's dose of drama !
ahhhhh this is so good all of theseus's gestures are just amazing
POV: I have Aphrodite’s legendary boon (the charm effect is going to make them beat the shit out of each other)
Thesus is the hero who defeated the minotaur so this is Enemies to Lovers at it's finest!
I love how honorable asterius is
Me: *laughs and holds up two death defied and and skullys tooth* YOU FOOLS-
They're one compliment away from falling apart
Zagreus face: "Bruh."
Hot damn this is phenomenal. The expressions are just fantastic to look at. Now i have to go see if you have others
Atreus: "why do they talk like that?"
Kratos: "they are from ancient Greece, boy.... Do the gay math...."
This is fantastic!!! Wowowow I cannot WAIT to get this dialogue in my game. I'll be thinking of this! :D
A: babe he's not going to ruin what we have
T: HAHA RIGHT YOU ARE, FRIEND! YOU CAN'T CATCH ME GAY THOUGHTS!
I love your hand drawing, they look so cool, just wanted to share this
Man. This animation sure does bring out the power-bottom vibes he comes with.
Meg: Who do you think tops?
Than: ...Asterius
Zag: I dunno. I feel Theseus might be a bit too proud for that.
hades game au where everything about it is exactly the same but this interaction and only this one is a fully animated cutscene
I can just imagine Zagreus off to the side wiping tears as he listens to the mAgIc oF fRiEnDsHiP.
And it was after this point that many discovered their least favorite attack combination, the shield charge into bullhorn attack.
Love this. Makes me want to do this with another dialogue from the game.
This is so perfect that I have watched it more than I should have; thank you so much, you are awesome.
