I've made a couple replies to other people's comments, but I feel I have to leave one of my own. This was absolutely a piece of artwork. I'm sure it not only took a great deal of inspiration, but it also inspired many who viewed & listened. Props to The Hood Internet. Props to those who constructively criticized or made polite suggestions on additional content they'd like to see. Perhaps in a Part 2 edition?
Wow. Seriously, that was incredible! They took instrumentals and acapellas and mashed everything up seamlessly. And the coolest part is they took the lyrics and cut them up so tight. Not even the end of the rhyme in most songs. Just random phrases. Amazing!
I was wondering, while watching it, what the process of doing this was. Would be dope to see how they did it, cuz this seems like it takes a LOT of planning & preparation beforehand. But they knocked it out the park.
and where did they (or he or she..whatever) get all of those acapellas, thats even more interesting :) most of them are certainly not available to the public.. or they made them all themselves! that would be even more crazy work to do... amazing, really great job!!
My DJ does stuff like this, video blends. It's called blending when you take the beats and mash them with the acapella. Those are the only kind of mixtapes I ever bought.

Pill Cosby a few good songs? Ahh aight then I know I can’t really talk to you about Pac if you bringing up the most generic argument against him...it’s really bigger than hiphop for pac..while he was less of a “talented” rapper than such he was a man that understood his surroundings and wanted a change...of he were still alive he’d have a more respectable career under his belt because his worth was more than others for the message he wanted to show the population of inner city people
This was Godly. I was losing my mind. Very well put together and mixed. And I loved that you didn't just stick to the stuff considered "real hip-hop". I just wish there was more female representation. There was Lauryn, Missy, Nicki and Salt N Pepa, but adding some Lyte, Roxanne, Jean, Kim, Fox, Latifah would've been awesome. Maybe for part 2? :D
Alex Delarge Dude, THEY added Nicki Minaj in the mix. I also applauded them for adding people that others wouldn't consider "real hip-hop". So anyone's opinion of her is irrelevant.
Alex Delarge So did Dr. Dre and Eazy E and they are included in this mix. Again, I like that they didn't include what is accepted by one group, they pulled from different places.
Yoooooooo....I literally cried hearing this. You just took everything that made me fall in love with Hip-Hop and mashed into 4 minutes! This is FOREVER DOPE!!
2:54 is my personal favorite. The instrumental is from 'On my block' by Scarface. It's also nice to see Biz Markie, Three 6 mafia, Tribe called quest, and Outkast in there.
The ability to mash all of these together in a blend that's more seamless than any RUclips rewind or era-recap in existence is just remarkable! You'd think these artists all came together and made this together in the studio with careful planning as a team. Just wow! Bravo!
3 Things: 1) This is A LOT TO TAKE IN, in one sitting. B) This is a PERFECT Piece to the puzzle of a full Black History story to tell Three) i got whiplash from jumping time period(s)
0:57 Salt n Pepa 1:09 Nelly 1:13 The sax hook (and objectification of white women) 1:35 Doo Wop 1:56 The Bling 1:59 Missy. From showstopper to the pimp. 2:25 Video eye candy and big butts 2:31 Salt n Pepa's here ...with Spinderella 2:38 Supersonic?? 2:54 Nicki MInaj is a monster 3:01 Pac dissin the east coast crew incl Foxxy Brown 3:20 She just keep passin me by organ hook ...with a little (un)dressking 3:23 Afrocentric female in some crew ?? 3:32 Round-the-way girls in the back 3:34 Get down with the D and get it, goldigger 3:40 Soul Train dancers

Lyrics: I said uh hip hop, I let my tape pop, and if I hit the switch, I can make the
ass drop
And ya don’t stop, and ya don’t stop, never eat a pig cause
a pig is a cop
I got the rap patrol on the gat patrol, ladies love me long
time like 2Pac’s soul
Like whoah like dough like dro nitro, and if ya don’t know,
now ya know
Ya know I got soul, oh oh oh oh oh yeah oh yeah
I pulled up to the house in my 6-4, oh snap, guess what I saw?
Standin on the front stoop, hanging out the window, Snoop Doggy
Dogg and Dr. Dre is at the door
I jumped out the ride and said “what’s up?”, yo, what’s up? Designated
driver take the keys to my truck
Pour lean in my cup, get nice put the blunt up, come on
everybody let’s get, get the fuck up
Uh huh, now, what ya’ll wanna do? So what you wanna do? What
you gonna do?
Wanna be a baller, bboys, shot-caller, shot-callers, I wish I
had a girl who looked good, I would call her
Holler! I was like, good gracious, ass is bodacious, and I approached
baby like, “Hi, my name is”
Last name “ever”, first name “greatest”, I been spending hundreds
since they had small faces
c-notes by the layers, true fucking players, bass in the
space means peace, see ya later
boogie fresh and yes cold on my feet, my life’s like a
soundtrack I wrote to the beat
when these streets keep calling, heard it when I was sleep,
c-o-m-p-t-o-n, my city mobbing in the street
this is my part, nobody else speak - (misc Lauryn snippets interlude)
first let me hop out that ch-ch-ch-chopper, sister, brother,
son, show-stopper, flow proper
headknocker, beat scholar, girl I wanna waller in the back
of my impala,
I know you ain’t a pimp but pimp remember what I taught you,
who am I? I’m the boss (I’m a boss)
I still represent Swisha House, I cold go, who shot Biggie Smalls,
if we don’t get them, they gone get us all
Ay, you know how we ball, ridin a shiny car, with no regard for the law we dodging ‘em,
like fuck ‘em all
Smoking out, pourin up, keepin lean up in my cup, you leave
yo drink around me believe yo drink gone get drunk up
Can you hear the music pumpin hard like I wish you would, you’se
a superstar boy, why you still up in the hood?
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, (we’ll be back), I’m good. 1-2-3, back on
the scene, crispy and clean
it was all a dream, it wasn’t even close to Halloween, when
the emcees came to live out the name
went solo on that ass, but it’s still the same, OK, first
things first, I’ll eat ya brains,
eatin wack rappers alive, shittin out chains, west side when
we ride, come equipped with game
look, homie I done came up and I ain’t changed, yeah, awww
yeah, yeah, hold up
I don’t mean to hold you up but I got something to say, come
on, gimme the mic so I can take it away
Player haters get away or my lead will spray, cause this
types of shit, it happens every day
And I will never stop because I just can’t quit, mayonnaise
colored Benz, I push miracle whips
Now gather round, I’m the new fool in town, I’m the young Harlem
nigga with the Goldie sound
I’m getting down, down, and I came to get down, get down
girl, go head get down
I get money, money I got, rock the rhythm that’ll make your
body rock, to the tick tock, ya don’t stop
I told ya, I’m just like a clock when I tick and I tock, uh
to the beat ya’ll, and ya don’t stop, who I’m talkin bout ya’ll, is hip hop.

Well said, sir. Agreed!
Damn that Lauryn Hill part
But they knocked it out the park.
and where did they (or he or she..whatever) get all of those acapellas, thats even more interesting :)
most of them are certainly not available to the public.. or they made them all themselves! that would be even more crazy work to do... amazing, really great job!!
Koren Young with the play by play!!!
My DJ does stuff like this, video blends. It's called blending when you take the beats and mash them with the acapella. Those are the only kind of mixtapes I ever bought.
This is sensory overload, amazing work dudes!!! 😲

@@Μάριος-τ4ρ yeah 💣💣
Well you’re gay
Pill Cosby eh??? But not really...he’s more about the message than the lyricism tho you can’t put him down at all... the mans a revolutionist
Pill Cosby a few good songs? Ahh aight then I know I can’t really talk to you about Pac if you bringing up the most generic argument against him...it’s really bigger than hiphop for pac..while he was less of a “talented” rapper than such he was a man that understood his surroundings and wanted a change...of he were still alive he’d have a more respectable career under his belt because his worth was more than others for the message he wanted to show the population of inner city people
Am I the only one who comes back at least twice a month for this?
YOU KILLED THISSSS!! WOAHHH!! I WAS ON THE EDGE THE WHOLE MIX!!
This is fucking amazing
Echoing others. Pls do 50 years of hip hop.

IF YOU DON'T GET GOOSEBUMPS.....LOSE MY NUMBER!
i don't have your number
Exactly
Last night's Grammys medley brought me (back) here.
Alex Delarge
Dude, THEY added Nicki Minaj in the mix. I also applauded them for adding people that others wouldn't consider "real hip-hop". So anyone's opinion of her is irrelevant.
Alex Delarge
So did Dr. Dre and Eazy E and they are included in this mix. Again, I like that they didn't include what is accepted by one group, they pulled from different places.
Part 2? In 40 years?
You took me back with that Lady Rage reference. Damn.
"I rock rough and stuff with my afro puffs".
This is the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life.
Peter W totally agree

Holy fuck. 22,000 views does not justify the greatness of this video. I'm expecting big things in terms of a view count in the future
1:36-1:42 🔥❤️💕 Lauryn Hill/Kanye West/OutKast. My favorite parts of hip-hop
Word.
What’s the instrumental at 0:26
who ever mix this ... ur genius
The ability to mash all of these together in a blend that's more seamless than any RUclips rewind or era-recap in existence is just remarkable! You'd think these artists all came together and made this together in the studio with careful planning as a team. Just wow! Bravo!
I honestly think this is THE greatest video on the Internet. Keep coming back to it!
1:08 flava in ya ear x hot in here goes unnecessarily hard.
