That's just the state I'm in. If I go about 400 miles east or 500 plus miles west, there are real mountains. One of these days, I would like to go west and hike up a few.
Can you drive your vehicle away with out destroying your set up ? Maybe not if your pole is connected to the car. Technically contrary to the rules of SOTA ok for POTA. Thanks for doing SOTA as well as parks. I have 4 drive on summits I visit and I take a star picket with me and belt that in to support my pole if nothing else to hook my pole on to keep separate from the vehicle. Regards vk5cz ..
Yes, use of a motor vehicle in any way to support your SOTA station is against the rules, be it for shelter from the elements, connected to its power or attached antennas or for antenna support, makes this an invalid activation, if you had guyed your mast instead it would have been ok.
