I think most of the criticism went towards DmC not being yet another DMC, although there were also pointing out gameplay flaws. But DmC is certainly not the worst that the series has to offer, as you've mentioned.
I loved everything about this game! I loved the idea when dante and vergil first met after they grew up, the gameplay, soundtracks is really cool ,this game is underrated because it doesn't look like the story of the original "devil may cry" however they tried new style but it was awesome.
this game was really cool honestly. I wish they hadn't chosen to make it a devil may cry game. "inspired by devil may cry" would have probably given it the same advertisement power, without inciting the backlash against the radically different art style, tone, and themes.
Nah, rather than a reboot, they should've treated it as a "branching off"/parallel universe. Two universes coexisting, would've worked better, giving the possibilities for crossovers. Or they could've made it a story in the same universe, but another country and not name the characters after the originals. There's enough room in the lore for more demon lords, that could've taken Rebbot Mundus's role and make angels beings from another dimention, than the domen and human world, explaining why they're fighting each other as "xenophobia" towards each other. ANYTHING could've worked, instead of disrespecting the originals.
How many alternative versions are in Spiderman and Batman comics. If those alternative versions can coexist why can’t this game also be part of the DmC series but in a alternative universe.
Ah, this Mission is certainly something. I always hate doing it due to the ridiculous amount of parkour. Only time I ever liked this Mission was when I did Hell and Hell difficulty as it was a nice break from the absolute chaos that mode is.
Vergil was hiding his power at this point in the game, the whole premise behind the plot is that Mundus thinks Dante is the only nephilim in existence and they needed to keep him thinking that for as long as possible to draw him away from the Hellgate so Vergil can close it.
In the game his hair color turned white over the course of the game. And when you play new game you can start with him having hair completely white. The idea was that him getting his powers manifesting also bleaches his hair.
this is from playing the game over, it’s switching between the skin he picked after completion and the pre rendered cutscenes which still use the default look
As a DMC player who played this as his first DMC game, this is not bad. But yeah, maybe that depends on which game you were introduced with. Can't blame those who played on the originals first, but for me I enjoyed this but can't deny the originals are far better.
This version of Dante has a devil trigger that almost exclusively freezes time while it is active. Bit of a step down from the norm, but it made for a nice trump card in combat.
This could have been such a cool game but back at the time it tried to be too cool and called it a reboot of dmc which makes it worst for it... If only it wasnt a reboot but a different kind of game with the inspiration of dmc
It was more like a moment of respite after slaughtering an entire bloody army of demons in the nightclub, and before slaughtering another army of demons in the bank. Heck, speaking of bank, in its lobby there was a fight with 2 dreamrunners (ninja demons) and witch, which was the toughest fight in the game (beaten only by certain fight at the very end of Vergil's DLC)
when it comes to dmc: devil may cry... I don't have any favourite missions, this is the worst gave I have ever played and it's very easy, almost equal to dmc 2 when it comes to difficulty
@OMEGA0203 I can only agree with dmc reboot being better than dmc 2, but can't really agree with it being better than dmc 1 and especially 4 even when I feel like dmc 4 is unfinished game but still prefer dmc 4 over the reboot
@OMEGA0203 well... I see your point when it comes to devil may cry 1, 2 and 4. Also you said 1 part of my reason why I feel like dmc 4 feels unfinished. I personally don't like dmc reboot, the story is a bit wacky, helping vergil just to randomly find out he was a bad guy and yeah, but I can give dmc reboot some credits, Dmc reboot is the first dmc game that has different story for Vergil, I just hate the controlls and how much they changed Dante and Vergil
@OMEGA0203 Also my fist dmc game was dmc 4 but even tho it was my first, it is only my 3rd liked dmc game, 2nd goes to dmc 3 and number one dmc game is dmc 5 for me
Some people said this game is bad, but literally they never played the Greatest DMC, which is DMC 2.
I think most of the criticism went towards DmC not being yet another DMC, although there were also pointing out gameplay flaws. But DmC is certainly not the worst that the series has to offer, as you've mentioned.
Wdym Dmc2 Is a great third person shooter
I liked DMC 2 :(
DMC2 is the bad one. what i hate about DmC is the story, i prefer original DMC story, DmC has awesome gameplay and Vergil has his own story
@@supersaiyanstage4145 Ever heard of sarcasm?

Yeah the platforming on this game was pretty cool
tbh the only thing is hate about this game is platforming...
My god the platforming, the shifting places, the ways you can explore the hellish world. Top tier 👍

Back then Capcom was absolutely resolved to reboot and terminate the original franchise
Well at least it officially ended in DMC V with more lore to solve everyone's theories. @@elgusaniiiodeljuego6823
But. I do wish they made a sequel to this game where Vergil came out of his hell.

The building transformations and parkour were very cool, I wish the levels could have been longer, Capcom didn't have the budget back then.
The Missions in this Game are much better than the one in Devil May Cry 4
That's been my experience, too.
the good old day when Vergil use gun!!
i absolutely lost it at 1:33 .
Damn good game.
Ah, this Mission is certainly something. I always hate doing it due to the ridiculous amount of parkour. Only time I ever liked this Mission was when I did Hell and Hell difficulty as it was a nice break from the absolute chaos that mode is.
Ah yes the legendary son of sparda with the yamato needs a car to travel around, and can't cut a container
Oh please. Dante could have used royal guard against urizen in the prologue and spare us all 20 missions of dmc 5
Lmao😂@mizukihimura9669 more like Dante when controlled by Donguri
At the end of the game Vergil used Yamato teleportation to escape
Well to use royalguard you need to be really precise but Vergil always show that he can open portals with ease.
Vergil was hiding his power at this point in the game, the whole premise behind the plot is that Mundus thinks Dante is the only nephilim in existence and they needed to keep him thinking that for as long as possible to draw him away from the Hellgate so Vergil can close it.
Does the abortion count as part of the mission
hell yeah Vergil whipping out M4 to commit slaughter
That's the main quest.
That's Vergil's mission. Failed successfully
Combat system was pretty cool along with turbo so made it worth playing
That was sick i am going to download this shit
Different hair color every scene lol

So as per DMC Virgil runs away in car and wants dante to save him😂
Tf? Vergil driving a car?
I'm more of a DmC mission 1 type guy
Which part is this ?
Was this a speed run?
Not at all.
i want to know what song this was off the soundtrack
It's part of a longer track by Noisia, called "The Trade", and it begins roughly at 3:41.

who freeze the time?
I think its donte himself since his dt is very similar to dmc3 quicksilver
or it's just the limbo world doin its shit
This version of Dante has a devil trigger that almost exclusively freezes time while it is active. Bit of a step down from the norm, but it made for a nice trump card in combat.
imagine open world dmc
Wtf no
No thank you
@@aninfinitemindofmusicandreams да не за что. не стоит благодарности
Time control XxxD
That's dante hairtyle is the best IMO
The Dante still ok but not for vergil version
😎❤️❤️

DmC (2013)
wasn't it the hardest mission?
Easiest*
It was more like a moment of respite after slaughtering an entire bloody army of demons in the nightclub, and before slaughtering another army of demons in the bank.
Heck, speaking of bank, in its lobby there was a fight with 2 dreamrunners (ninja demons) and witch, which was the toughest fight in the game (beaten only by certain fight at the very end of Vergil's DLC)
the game isn’t bad itself but they made dante and vergil look bad
dante is alright in this game, despite the blatant lies that dmc fans will tell you. Virgil on the other is horrible

Na, is a shit and shorter even for a Devil May Cry game, is easy too, only the music is really good.
Well there is the gameplay.
Albeit very different from DMC, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun.
