However any shiny on the screen is not told to you, maybe you get a clue of the persons pick such as colour or type, but you have to decide if you want a strong basic pokemon or take the risk on a shiny with any ability and maybe an illegal move. So maybe you have an azelf but it's not the best legendary so you end up taking the shiny cause it's a steel type and you get a shiny orthworm
