fantastic video with such great content i especially loved the forward thinking from you about being able to study later at night with other peers in different time zone... :)
I intend to enrol in HBS for the Core programme, . I must comprehend how exams are administered. I'm not sure if the exam will be given in the HBS centre or if we'll have to take it there. Please advise me
Thanks for the tips! I'm considering enrolling, but deciding between credit or non-credit. I would like to use this course to show my readiness to MBA programs (and refresh concepts for myself), but the credits would be for undergraduate study, so I'm thinking of going non-credit. Which one do you recommend? Are there any practical differences between the two options during the course (e.g. during assessments or the final exam)? And also, the extras that the credit option provides (Harvard email, access to online library, etc) all expire when you finish the course, you don't get access to the wider alumni network after, right?
Hi @@lollawell1732 I asked the same to HBS Online support team, and they confirmed that, if you took Economics for Managers separately, it will not be considered as part of CORe,
I recently got accepted to enroll the course, I am aware that the videos are recorded, but I was wondering if the teachers ever come out and help us with some questions we might have, and also, do you have the chance to talk to your classmates by video or is it just by chat? Thanks!!
Hi Jessica - pity I only found your video at the end of the course... a lot of great tips! I still have to take the exam though and I wanted to ask some more details about it - I understand this is a 3 hours exam with 45 questions per each course, so pretty much 1 question per minute or so - so very fast pace. What I'd like to know is whether the 3 hours are split so if you start with say FA will it stop after 60 minutes regardless of how many questions you have answered or will the closk continue ticking so basically using up time you need for the other courses questions? And also, does the exam include spreadsheet questions or is it only multiple choice questions?
Hi Jessica, I am changing from teaching to business and was debating taking this program, but was concerned about the level of background knowledge in math or economics needed. Do you feel like this program is accessible to someone with limited business background? Thanks and congratulations on your new work journey.
Hi Jessica, congratulations on your completion. I have two queries, which format did you go for, the credit or the non-credit one? And which of the two would you suggest for someone with no MBA aspirations but with entrepreneurship in mind in the future?
Thanks for asking! I went for the accredited version as I hope to convert the 'points' into further study at a later date, but if you're interested in startups perhaps the non-credit version is fine (as the course content is the same!).
@@jessbuildstech great video and analysis! did the " credit" version of CORE, come with a permanent Harvard email, or any alumni benefit, besides the "8" credits?
Heyy! I found this video quite helpful too.. Also @Lijani Nakatani I'm about to enroll too.. please get in touch, could get some doubts cleared together.
@@laxmikurup126 hi there! I have just enrolled to a different course, Leadership principles, starting this month already. I’m planning to take CORe classes May next year. Wishing you good luck!
Hey, thanks for this short and informative video! As I am also interested in doing a CIM marketing diploma, could you specify whether you'd rather do CORe before or after the marketing qualification? Thanks again.
Thanks for asking! I completed my MSc in Marketing before HBS CORe. If I were to approach these again, I would follow a similar path. Hope that helps! :)
This is really useful and cheer me up. Thank you for making this because I'm in a process of deciding to study it.
Thank you for the comment - I'm happy you found it useful! If you have any questions please feel free to ask :)
@@jessbuildstechhow about the final exam can we take the taste on our computer online?
@@farhadsahak9013 Yes, I did my final exam online at a testing center.
Thanks for this video! Your guidance helped a lot! =)

And I am already an undergrad currently working so would this help me

Is HBS CORe really worth it? Does it add value to our CV & does it have any real learning?
Would you rather do the CORe or Economics for Managers program? I am trying to save time and money.
So what did you decide about that? I am thinking too

So happy I stumbled across this video
Amazing, thank you Amy! Good luck with the studying, if I can help please send me a DM!
It’s very hard. I agree on the staying healthy (I didn’t)…. I’m just glad it’s over - Did you pass by the way?
Hi jess i am currently in my 5th week of CORe and will follow some of your tips going forward. Thanks for doing this!
Was it worth? Would you recommend this course?
How are the exams? multiple choice or do they make video calls? Thanks :D

Hi! Thank you for the tips! I am about to enroll. does this mean we are given a textbook aside from online modules and case studies?
Good luck with the study! I was not provided with a textbook.
