One of the things that has surprised me the most with this episode is the reaction many people had to the flashbacks showing how horrible and abusive Soldier Boy is. So many people are shocked that he beat the shit out of the people under him even though thats like the first thing we learned about him back in episode 1 or 2. Also people must be forgetting how bad Homelander is because so many people are now saying that Soldier Boy is just as bad as him dont get me wrong Soldier Boy is a monster but I doubt that before being captured by the Russians he would have done half the stuff we have seen Homelander do, now though he has PTSD and is straight up insane so I could see him doing that stuff
