I think 001 needs 4 deaths to come back in the real world. Max is the 4th. 11 has saved her body but can’t find her spirit because it is now inside 001. Because he said his victims were inside him. So I think that if 11 is able to enter in 001’s mind, she will bring back Max in her body. She will be alive and with only 3 deaths, the door open will be closed. Only a theory.

I had a similar thought as well. Max is in coma means she’s being imprisoned inside Vecna’s mind or may be the UD and for that reason El wasn’t able to find her.
The part when Max was cracking her bones I was CRYING IN TEARS SO MUCH MY HEART WAS BEATING SO FAST AND STILL IS

You know its a good show when a new character makes us emotional.
Once Eddie told Dustin to never change, I felt he was for sure doomed. He and Max. I'm so relieved she survived, at least, question mark. I don't care about Vicky either. I also find her too similar to Robin, and what I liked most about their moment was Steve's reaction. It meant more to me because of Robin's friendship with him. The only problem with that is me shipping Robin and Nancy, lmao. This episode threw so many punches. Honestly! I was on the verge of tears so often. When Lucas started yelling for help, I broke. That was it for me. Then I just stayed an emotional mess throughout lol. In conclusion, I loved your reaction! I almost stood up when you started singing Running Up that Hill! YES 😂 SAVE THEM ALL, MARIA
I kept saying that I would be fine with anybody dying except Eddie. And dammit they killed one of the best TV characters ever. Not gonna lie, I wept when he died and even more when Dustin talked to his Uncle. This show just keeps getting better.

I’ve been crying over Max (I can’t help it, she’s my favourite) for hours. Her “death” destroyed me.
Uuugh I can’t believe we have to wait gods knows how long for season 5.
What happened was el couldnt find max's consciousness in her mind.. which means vecna had already downloaded it all and that's why the gate opened up . He just failed to kill her but he already did the main task that was to download her memories and establish a permanent psychic connection
He didn't even fail to kill her, she was dead for a while.
I was so flipping sad I could not recover, lol!!!! but it was soo good, love it cannot wait for next season.
Regarding Will's sexuality .. it's not 2022 there .. it's 1986

My wife called it in part 8 and once she said it, it became obvious. Why wouldn't Will have a crush on a boy who looks like Freddie Mercury? I get it.
I also took it as Max being brain dead. But someone else commented that her consciousness must be trapped with vecna since he says all his victims are still "with him." Maybe after El fully destroys vecna, Max will wake up? Fingers crossed

Yeah, unless the consciousness transfers over officially at the moment of death. Maybe??? My theory is that El will never stop looking for Max and will eventually find her as part of Vecna's web of consciousness. Then she will find a way to piggyback from Max's mind directly into Vecna's or something, essentially using Max's connection with Vecna as an entry point. That would be epic. She could F with HIS mind for once. But anyways, just a theory. Who the hell knows with this show? Literally anything could happen Lol

I haven't cried for a show like this in so long. When Eddie died I started crying, but when Max "died" and Lucas was yelling for help I cried more. This show is amazing and has really great writing characters. I hope Sadie Sink and Milly Bobby Brown are at LEAST nominated for an Emmy. Ps: I knew they weren't going to ACTUALLY kill ONE/HENRY/VECNA because they need him for the final season. He's the FINAL VILLAIN.
I love STs, but its fans are like MCU fans never watching anything else. MAYBE Millie will get a nomination, but Sadie has zero chance. Its a stacked class. Rhea Seehorn can't even get a nomination and she is far better than Sadie

And Eleven only managed to save Max's body after death because her consciousness was already consumed. So I have a feeling that Max will only wake from a coma on like the last episode of season 5 after they defeat Vecna because I think he has her mind locked within his.*

Yeah. People did come out and say it - 'coming out' was a subcultural concept pre 1980s even (70s, 60s.. gay rights) - but almost never in high school and depending on environment, sometimes even rarely in college and often not past college. Even though the actor is 17-18 he's supposed to be representing a rural 14-15 year old in the 80s with a traumatic history; he knows he's gay and he's processing his feelings about that, his mom almost certainly knows he's gay, his brother obviously knows he's gay, even Mike and El in their ways probably know something along the lines of him being gay - HE is just not going to get into it until he feels entirely safe, even momentarily (even Robin got the truth serum magic going to give it more plausibility).
I suppose as a treat to the viewers, he can come out or all but come out in S5, they might do an epilogue where the actors' real ages are properly represented (college age dating!), and the perhaps inevitable spinoffs feature a star or guest role adult Will as a gay gay gayerson in the 1990s. But those expecting a 14 year old to be comfortable coming out to friends when he's already super sensitive about maintaining relationships? They're not keeping enough factors in mind.

So now after seeing this season, in episode 8 Nancy said she saw Mike and their mother and Holly dead when Vecna showed her the future, does that mean Mike is dying in season 5😭? I feel like that is going to happen honestly, since that would be perfect for Vecna to do to completely break Eleven, especially since with Max basically undecided, Eleven is already broken. But her losing Mike would make her broken beyond repair, but really give her that push to go all out and stop Vecna for good. I’m already worrying about season 5 now and it’s not even here😭💯!!

Introduce a new character that we like and kill them off so we can get an emotional punch without a main cast dying. They will do it again and they will give a crazy happy ending to most if not all of the cast. Its not the Duffer brothers style to kill a main and there is nothing that suggests they will go against their formula. They WANT you to think someone will die from the main cast, but it wont happen

I’m sure their goal was to have the whole crew survive and be all together for the final fight, but they are literally fighting to save not just Hawkins, but now the literal world because these monsters can literally run around and go anywhere since the crack is beyond huge, so honestly I doubt everyone will survive. Yes, the show will definitely have its happy ending after they win, but not without death and sacrifice to save those they love and to just save Hawkins and the world itself.

If you're looking for a new show, you should check out Vis a Vis next. It's by the same people as La Casa de Papel and it's in Spanish. Has some of the same actors (Alba Flores owns my ass) and is all about strong female characters.

I’m Annoyed they did that 2 day skip and then killing another character they introduced that season, but other than that I really loved this season and felt it connected things well that scene of the “earthquake” with the clock ticking and chimes was amazingly well done.

There were a couple times i heard some chime sounds and saw el look off so thought the last half was vecna messing with her mind but no one else seems to have seen it. This has me worried. Not giving up on it yet though.

As much as it was a good season, a very good season even... Yet the end is so unsatisfactory.
There are fewer deaths than we were led to believe, including Eddie who literally acted suicidally and Max who didn't actually die in the end (although I don't wish either of them dead of course and Max's situation is heartbreaking! Just there's a lack of impact)
Less impactful scenes at all for that matter. Nancy, Steve and Robin for example won't have had much screen time and action in this season finale, and they're not the only ones. The fact that the town thinks the Hellfire are a cult or that they decide to act didn't have much impact either at the moment, I hope it will be useful in the next season. Not that I like the fact that our characters are getting in the way, but the fact that there are some sort of factions being created in the public eye and that people end up taking action and going off the deep end makes sense to me and is interesting to explore.
There's also the destruction of our ships xD I mean Max and Lucas won't get their moment, at least not anytime soon. Will served to put the Mileven back together and while I wish them happiness, especially Eleven who deserves the world, their relationship is boring as hell. Nancy stays with Jonathan, leaving Steve on the sidelines (and Robin! Although maybe we're the ones who got our hopes up), when clearly, their relationship isn't really holding up. And Robin is finally allowed some hope of ending up as a couple, but the fact that they have given Vickie a dialogue and therefore a personality so similar to Robin makes their duet not really interesting. If this ship is to be Robin's final ship, I hope Vickie will be more present in the next season but also with a personality of her own.
The fact that the upside down fits in with the classic world on the other hand is pretty much in line with my idea of the stakes at the end of Stranger Things so I can't wait to see what happens!

Will is gay in the 80’s. You are perceiving it as this generation and it’s not. So just like it’s hard today, it would have been much harder to be accepted then.

Depends very much on circumstance, even if its more likely that you can be in an at least tolerable environment in USA today. And that's just USA example. Illegal and mortally dangerous in many places worldwide - or just you're unlucky enough in any abusive family or neighborhood. I came out in a rural Canadian town in the 00s - I was mostly fine enough, even if on shaky ground at times, but then there were others I knew of that were basically socially ruined and physically harmed. With votes of interest for support throughout the school population, I wanted to start a GSA for these LGBT's sense of safety and all the principal did for that was try to frighten me with stories of locals/parents hate-mailing the school after the last attempt with threats to take every gay student and line them against a wall to be shot. Its not always 'hard', but its rarely 'easy'. At least generally, its a target on your back that a large segment WILL attack if they see the permission to.

Honestly this finale disappointed me I was so hyped and I felt like nothing happened and people are like “because it’s just the beginning” but that dosent make up for they had two hours and felt like nothing
Well that's just you. I was on the edge of my seat the entire damn finale... BOTH episodes. 8/10 for me. The only thing I don't like is how Eddie's death felt really cheap, like they just wanted to tear jerk us.
