  • Hiking the Striped Peak Loop Trail at the Salt Creek Recreation Area in Western Washington. We did 8 miles and 1600 feet of elevation gain, very hard trail but fun! This hike was amazing, straight up at first with many switchbacks and old growth forest, ferns carpeting the forest floor! Many views of the water and Vancouver Island Canada on the other side.       I was amazed at how awesome it was, these county parks and rec areas are usually really good I am finding out. Glad you enjoyed it :)
