Why is there a unnecessary term for this like it's some hidden tech, when it's pretty well known that Genji's dash cooldown refreshes on eliminations?
In ow1 it had an animation cancel if you did it correctly and looked sick so they called it a ghost dash bc it didnt show the second dash coming out, ow2 they removed it and this isnt really a ghost dash

A ghost dash is still possible but it has a tighter timing but yeah this video doesn't show the ghost dash
Partially because the most cracked Genji’s were taking out pharmercy duos in 0.5 seconds with nanoblade by slash-dash-180°dash-slashing. The second dash isn’t the insane part-it’s the ability to instantly find another target after killing the first one.
It’s because it’s a flashy animation cancel, its not a practical technique its literally just to look cool like a silent shot in MW2
Technically speaking a ghost dash is performed only when the dash animation isn’t played but instead it shows the shurikens during the dash. They made it much harder to achieve in ow2

In ow1 all u had to do was hold down dash and it would be a ghost dash. They changed it for ow 2 so now u have to get the timing right. Its mostly just for style points tho.

The real alternative title: failing to do the ghost dash and accidentally making people who never played a wink of Genji in ow1 think the ghost dash isnt a real thing. Go to the RUclips search bar and search "ghost dash" you'll see what it is.

Did you only have like 3 hours in him or something or did you never see a professional player play him? Genji's dash has an instant cooldown reset when it lands the killing blow, and you can use it a second time immediately however you'd want.
This is listed in the ability's description.
It's not just some neat secret tech 💀

This trick is actually a problem for me. When I ult and dash to an enemy, I sometimes accidentally do this, which causes me to fail my dash/slash setup combos and thus completely waste his ult on 1 target or 2 if I'm lucky enough

They removed ghost dash in OW1. This is just how Genji's ability is supposed to work. Not sure why this guy is calling it a ghost dash.

To do stuff like this on console- reduce your aim smoothing by as much as you can tolerate. Start low, like 10-15 points down from 100. Try that for a few days, then see if you can do lower.

Uhhh…. As a genji player I feel compelled to call bullshit on this. It’s not called a ghost dash. What he’s doing is killing and then dashing immediately. It doesn’t buffer. What’s happening is that genji’s dash resets after every kill no matter if it’s a melee, ranger, or ability. So if you get a kill with dash you can immediately dash again. There isn’t like a window you have to hit or anything
So if they're all low hp. He can become lore accurate and dash through everyone.

This isnt a ghost dash. The real ghost dash was removed from the game a long time ago. This is just dash reset into another dash. Still useful for new Genji players.
