    Can check Fortigate setup PPoE with UniFi Home Internet and using fortiddns or fortidyndns able to ping from external? I have tried it but unable to reach it

    • @IgoroTech-Official
      @IgoroTech-Official  Месяц назад

      hi, I assume the PPPoE is configured on the unifi router, am I correct?
      if yes then you need to configure the DMZ on the unifi router and enter the FortiGate WAN IP address.
      an example is the Unifi router IP address is 192.168.0.1 and the FortiGate IP is 192.168.0.2. Configure the DMZ on the unifi router and enter the FortiGate IP which is 192.168.0.2. After that, you can ping the DDNS externally.

      @@maomaosiong so the FG PPPoE receives public IP address right? If yes then should be no issue. Have you enabled the PING on the FG WAN interface?

    nice video thanks but have a question, you would use DDNS if you dont have a static IP .. but you are doing this with fixed public ip... does it mean you have a static .. can you clarify please? and yes if you are behind an ATT router you would need to open the port otherwise DDNS wont work

    • @IgoroTech-Official
      @IgoroTech-Official  8 месяцев назад

      hi there, good question. I just used that one as an example but personally, even though my customer is using a static IP address, I still configure the DDNS, it's easier to remember the domain instead of the fixed IP address especially if you have multiple sites.

    Hi bro, if mag set ako port forward using this ddns s ibang services ko or app paano ko ito i sesetup since hindi pwede target sa Virtual IP and domain name at need external or public IP

    • @IgoroTech-Official
      @IgoroTech-Official  Год назад

      hi bro, kung ang tanung mu is paanu i set up ung port forwarding gamit DDNS. Hindi mu gagamitin ung DDNS during the configuration. Pag nag set up ka ng port forwarding (virtual IP), hayaan mu lng na 0.0.0.0 and external IP address range. Once na set up mu ung DDNS then un na gagamitin mu mag access sa port forwarding na ginawa mu, hindi na ung public IP.

      hi bro, enable mu ung "Use public IP address" tapos access mu ISP router. enable mu DMZ at ung pointing IP address nya ay ung IP address assigned sa fortigate (WAN Interface).

    mas safe po ba sya gamitin?

    • @IgoroTech-Official
      @IgoroTech-Official  Год назад

      hi bro, oo safe poh xa. pero kung prefer nio very tight security, disable nio na lng HTTPS sa administrative access taz kung gusto nio access ung device, thru SSL VPN na lng. bsta wla SSL VPN vulnerability issues ung fortiOS na gamit nio.

    • @IgoroTech-Official
      @IgoroTech-Official  Год назад

      very useful din xa mas lalo pang dynamic IP gamit nio kasi mahal ung fixed public IP address. once na configure nio ung dynamic DNS, pwede nio na gamitin kahit saan, sa SSL VPN, IPSec VPN, port forwarding etc.
