  • This drill involves having students complete multiple anticipation strikes. Its purpose is to train a student to recover quickly and aptly after an anticipation strike.
Students often anticipate but do not recover in stance or guard - leaving them vulnerable to be struck or grappled to the ground.

These applications are not for the street. Point fighting ONLY. This guy has technique but not useful in real world

It is useful for getting out of range and doing with the basic stance. Also recovering and being ready for the next move. That is anticipation. This is a real life skill that can judge if you live or die

Adam Manning This is very useful in the street, just being able to move in and out quickly and move in all directions is useful. Self defense isn’t about beating up everyone in the world it’s about being able to avoid getting hurt.

Good observation but why does every martial art have to be about street fighting?
