One thing you were right about is that CA is not EA or Microsoft who has products to target the mainstream market and if they fuk up they'll just wait a couple of years till a new generation that just got old enough for them to fuk up all over again. Total war is a niche that was made of some historical fans, some Warhammer fans and the rest was cultivated by CA themselves. It does not grow at the same speed as the mainstream market. Another thing is even though they have apologized their behavior still suggest that they believe the problem is not within CA but their media partners and fans. So they closed the partnership program and banned negative comments on forms.
i think my first ever campaign was the ogre kingdoms, and despite all their flaws, they were pretty straight forward and with few faction mechanics, simple tactics.
I've heard people say Karl Franz's campaign is recommended, due to the Empire having a good range of things that players will need to learn to have a better understanding of how the game plays/works.
@MrVlad12340 I'll take what the 3 or 4 content creators in the Total War: Warhammer community have said and given proper explanations for over being told its purely because Karl Franz was "easy in TWW 1 & 2". As that makes absolutely no sense at all, especially if it's a new title and not TWW 1 & 2.
@@SpiritStoneWarrior94-yx3gs CA person responsible for this likely just marked Franz as “good for beginners” due to not being up to date with recent state of the gameplay in campaign.
Hello i'm New Player I bought TWW3 2 days ago. Now trying figure out how to play as Drazhoath based on your video from 8 months ago. I killed Imrik 5 min ago folowing every step from you video. Thank you for your content I'm lerned alot 😇
The resource management and troop limitations would totally nix any of the chaos dwarves from a beginners campaign. You can screw yourself relatively easy
In other words don't be like me, and play the wood elves first lol. As a new player I didn't know how to micro properly, and lost a lot of units. There was even a few times my archers killed more of my army than the enemy. Then how the Asrai manage their lands is so different than everyone else, and when I did play a campaign that focused on going wide instead of tall, I was at a complete loss on what to do. Not to mention every other race was too slow for me. At the end of the day I say play what you want. Some people will find more comfort into sticking to a beginner friendly faction, and others like me want to stick to stuff we find cool.
wood elves are great, exept their long victory condistion is painful. To bad all Factions have the same goal to teleport and do anti rebellion on 8 threes
cause hes like a rogue Archaeon he might be exiled but just like Daniel some acts of worship and for the glory of the chaos gods earn him some favour. lorewise he also has been building up his "physical" body and now has a bigger presence in the physical world so he can amass followers who can see him and believe in him for whatever reasons.
Chaos being chaotic, not every daemon and worshipper follow what the 4 Gods say. There's even a questionably canon 5th Chaos God Malal who is specifically all about fighting other Chaos factions
@@urmadrelastnite Yeah, no. The daemons that we know are literal shards, parts of the Four Chaos gods. They are fanatic followers of them. I believe only Skarbrand betrayed his patron. If Belakor doesn't have the support of the Four Chaos gods no daemon of theirs will ever follow him unless ordered to. Even in his cinematic it is said that and i quote "They took his armies".
Tyrion is excellent lord both in combat and strategic buffs, but his faction effects barely do anything. Why start as him when both Avelorn and Yvresse have much better faction effects and are in position to confed him very early. Other than not having DLCs, of course. Yvresse may be not beginner friendly, but Alarielle has very safe start simply due to her position.
Alarielle isn't really that great of a lord to start with, her beginning is quite rough due to the higher construction costs and need to unify Ulthuan. Eltharion is harsh with the dual start.
@@Costin_Gaming She has a very clear and linear path to success. Take 1st settlement, start global hiring 2nd army, rush Saferi in turns 2-4 with Alarielle, at the same time take last settlement in starter province using 2nd stack. Finish off minor DE, attack Nkari. Then proceed to Noctulus and Cylostra. Debuff is based on percentage of non-HE races holding provinces. Initially, that's mostly HE, so debuff isn't too harsh. And will stay that way, unless you play a very slow campaign. Eltharion's start is harsh, that's true.

I can confirm. I was a relatively new player and hopped onto Karl Franz. It was a nightmare, but I figured it out eventually.
i think my first ever campaign was the ogre kingdoms, and despite all their flaws, they were pretty straight forward and with few faction mechanics, simple tactics.
Hot take: Karl frans campaign plays out like it should, the only issue is that CA recommend it as startin campaign

I know all this but still an entertaining video.
Tomb kings and the vampire pirates are fun but not easy for beginners imo
Grimgor always fun, my first pick from game one
Kroq Gar was super fun for me, because you can actually double down with the Dwarfs as an alliance and tag team the world.
Wouldn't races with lots of intricated mechanics like warriors of chaos be a bit too much to take in for a new player ?
I agree, warriors of chaos are too much even for me with 1500+ hours in the warhammer games.
Hence honorable mention, but well Be'lakor is as ez mode as you can get.
@@dreamer5234sorry but this is a pretty nutty things to say

Is there actually some lore reason why Belakor has Chaos worshippers and daemons fighting alongside him when the Chaos Gods punished and exiled him?

ikit claw has one of the best and most defensible starting positions in the game what are you talking about??

@Whatever100500 you also missed the beginning, where he said he would avoid DLC
Tomb kings would be a terrible faction for a new player Beast men as well.
I guarantee none of the campaigns I've tried are not recommended. Oh man, Isabella showed up!
😂😂😂
Should be changed to "Most Beginner-Friendly, Uninteresting Campaigns".
