Dear Claus, Thank you very much for your beautiful and clear video to tie the Pattegrisen fly. I have tied my flies according to you instructions but then on tubes and have caught nice Spring Steelhead. Best regards, Henk
Hi Marlene. My name is Eivind Berulfsen and it's me that's tying the Pattegrisen in this video. Glad you liked the tutorial. All the best and tight lines from Norway. Eivind B.
Hej Kasper. Tusen takk! Jeg legger mye arbeid ned i filmene mine. Det betyr meget for meg å få tilbagmeldinger. Igjen takk! mvfluefiskehilsen Eivind Berulfsen.
Well actually Pattegrisen is the Norwegian and Danish word for Piglet... but its actually a dane the "inventet" it.. So the right term would be danish ;)
I am wondering, since you shoot your own Ducks, How do you keep the skin (oil,) from dirtying the feathers. I just bought a mallard skin and didn't know it would be so oily. By the time I got around to plucking it, most of the feathers need to be washed if they are are to be used because they have absorbed the grease from the skin making them discolored. All the best, Sean
Hi Sean. I do not keep the skins of the birds. I pluck out the feathers I use and wash them in some hot water with a little drop of soap in. So I do not have the problem you have. Happy new year. All the best Eivind B.
