Matthew Lillard was there on Sunday helping his staff pack up the booth. I was working at the BA Games booth just across the aisle. It was awesome to see him in the trenches with his employees. It really shows how great of a guy he is.
We sold 2300 Arcs at the show. Our plan was to sell 250 at each site, each day. We realized we had 300 more than we expected and allocated more on Saturday. We did sell out. Jackie was lovely as usual and I enjoyed speaking with her.
I did see several uniformed Indianapolis Police officers coming and going into the ICC, especially between Friday and Saturday since I was parked down Georgia St. A couple even entered the dealers room just to walk around.
Was my first Gen Con and man was there a lot. Was great seeing all you guys, poor Zee looked exhausted when I saw him on Friday afternoon. Hope you all had a fantastic Con!!!
Interestingly, Arcs was available to purchase through the game room before the opening of the exhibition hall on the first day. Grabbed my copy that way!
Tyrkisk Peber are very good on their own and one of those things your (Finnish) relatives living abroad request you bring a bag of when you are visiting them. There are also stronger flavours and those are good too. But then they've decide to make all kinds of Tyrkisk Peber abominations such as Tyrkisk Peber icecream and chocolate and that's where we have to draw the line.
Deadpool has his own licensing fee with Marvel, whereas the X-Men (or Avengers) are all grouped together under a license. So, unless a special deal is worked out, a publisher would have to pay double to put Deadpool and Wolverine in a box together.
Uniformed officers were in the vendor hall...... with bomb sniffing dogs. There was a threat called in and they had to show up. I was able to pull this out of an officer.
If Colossal Cat in the Box wasn't $100, it probably would have done much better. I waited in line for 20 minutes for it, got to the register, and just could not justify spending that much on it. Especially when the regular version was $30 but was cheaper at barnes and noble. Feel like it was a rip off.
60% is a D- everywhere I taught...Thanks to Joey and Tom for being available to chat a bit. Zee was grumpy working...so I got rude vibes...but again, working...maybe I'll catch him on a better day...but that being my one and only gencon, maybe not...but thanks for the videos. They have been helpful from the day I got into the hobby...because of your video on Spectral, I got a beautiful game (with the upgrades) and have loved it so far.
With all prior cycles of Arkham Horror about to be in big box form, I'd wager this Cthulhu chapter will be announced as the final AH release. Prediction!
It's pretty astute to compare Tyrkisk Peber to smelling salts, they're both ammonia based! Smelling salts are ammonium carbonate and Tyrkisk Peber have ammonium chloride in the centre.
Hmm, eating something weird well had goat brain when station over in Kuwait back in 1995-1996 which was the go to food when we got new soldiers in the unit, some did and some didn't but I had no problem.
I suggested the "unexpected celebrity sighting" prediction, and I had no idea Matthew Lillard was associated with a gaming company, so I'll gladly take that point!
I asked on Saturday if they were or would be demoing Monumental Duel, but the reps don't me they didn't bring it, but maybe they just weren't in the know
$100 for Cat in the Box? That's ridiculous. Also, I know this is not a new thing, but why is Queen Games so crazy with their prices. They were selling a small, lightweight box of upgrade pieces for Hamburg for $40. It's just some wooden meeples and a few acrylic standees. They're crazy. They were also selling a metal coin set with just forty pieces for $40.
How can they even attempt to release Monumental Duel without even completing the previous Kickstarter? I assume (and hope) most people will not support any of their releases until the Kickstarters are fulfilled.
It was my first time at Gen Con. I was surprised there weren't metal detectors. I understand that this would massively slow down entry, but it would make it safer. There were multiple people on FB and Reddit boasting that they were carrying concealed guns throughout the event, which I find really disturbing.
I was surprised by the total LACK of security! No back checks. No metal detectors. A few rent-a-cops here and there. How on earth was the place "secure"?! There was nothing stopping anyone from bringing in anything.
In addition to the Big 3 + Lorcana, FAB, SWU, Sorcery, Warlord: Saga of the Storm, and all of the Bandai games like One Piece had a strong presence. Upper Deck’s Neopets TCG was there too.
You didn't mention that the balloon structure included a little house that you could actually walk into, and there was lighting and cool details inside!

Matthew Lillard should be the first recipient of an annual Keanu Reeves award
I saw Zeek packing up as well.
He also had a D&D recording Saturday night.

Who is Jackie?
Sorry that my number was wrong! The actual number is mind blowing. Congratulations on such a successful Gen Con!
@@michaeldilisio557 I fired a bit from the hip, I just wanted to celebrate the team's accomplishments!
@@tonypringles2285 The designer of Rock Hard.
@@tonypringles2285 I thought I had replied this morning but I don't see my replies so sorry if this is a double. Jackie is the designer of Rock Hard.
Security was majorly heightened, but I figured as much for the crowd as anything. Saw more fire marshals than usual as well.

I liked that Leder Games had reserved copies of Arcs for everyone that attended one of their ticketed demo sessions
12:25 Wingspan Duel basically already exists in Wingspan Asia.
Yep, it can be used as an expansion to Wingspan, or purchased as a standalone 1-2 player game!
"Tyrkisk peber" has been made in Denmark since the 1977. its was made by fazer in finland in the 1990s.
Yes please do another prediction video for next year too! This was great!
Interestingly, Arcs was available to purchase through the game room before the opening of the exhibition hall on the first day. Grabbed my copy that way!
The Balloon sculpture was also the first structure you could go inside of and interact with, it was gnome sweet gnome.
I saw it but I didn't know it was that involved.
Balloon structure looks cool
Doesn't Wingspan have a two player version as part of one of the expansions, or am I imagining that?
Wingspan Asia

the candy from Finland is called salmiakki. i love it. it's an acquired taste

only celeb sighting that matters is seeing Mr Tom Vasel
There was also sightings of famous audio book voice Eric... something... Winterer?

How many publishers do you think will come with two level booths after the initial ones showed up this year?
More like "Monumental Disaster" from what I just saw on Kickstarter and BGG 😂🤣
16:01 I just ate salmiakki ice cream a few days ago! It's delicious! Of course I'm Finnish.

😮
Got my prediction correct of New Duel/Duo announcement! Woohoo!!!
What was it?
World wonders duel
Hmm, eating something weird well had goat brain when station over in Kuwait back in 1995-1996 which was the go to food when we got new soldiers in the unit, some did and some didn't but I had no problem.
There were uniformed officers in Lucas Oil a couple times as well. One was a K9 unit
Isn't Wingspan Asia basically Wingspan Duo?

That was for the game AND the largest of the cat plushies.
The KS for the game only was $60.
Prediction: Dan and Connie would not show up.
Outcome: Called It!
:( they used our ks money to pay for a booth only to waste it

DID see Matthew Lillard on the street heading to the Con. :D
Johnny Stanton was on a panel/actual play of a TTRPG, does that count as a celebrity appearance?
Deadpool & Wolverine would make an excellent Unmatched set.
There have always been uniformed police on site just luck if you see them.
How do you not have audio spill from two lav mics that close to both people talking?
That is Swedish candy - my mother was a full Swede and we had it regularly!!!!

welcome to Indiana :(
Concealed carry permit holders commit less crime per % than any other group of people, including cops…
Leder brought 2000 games to the show. :)
I also heard that Post Malone was spotted in the Gen Con merch line? Not sure I believe that one. Lol
I swear that I saw David Harbour but he was in Cosplay.
Hellboy?
It is called a taco pizza
Lakrits is delicious, when well made /Sweden.
Joey will eat most things, I have found some hot sauces he wouldn't try after trying other not as hot hot sauces.
Are you saying that gnomes can't be superheroes?? That is gnomist!
You didn't mention that the balloon structure was a little house that you could actually walk into, and there was lighting and cool details inside!
Duel for middle earth
It seems FFG doesn't do much of anything special these days. It's a shame how far they fell after Asmodee
Mike, there is your unrealized Unmatched characters -- Deadpool vs Wolverine. ... and the game never ends ....
Deadpool already exists in Unmatched.
Altered TCG is amazing
Rain Wilson was there.
as was a guy named Larry
Loved this follow up, but this camera quality is awful

It wouldve been interesting to see Dice towers reaction when they found out about the stolen cards
What stolen cards
@@JonReid01 last year two guys stole MTG cards worth $200,000
Why do you always mention all kinds of TCGs, but never Flesh and Blood? I don´t get it.

This is a board game channel. TCGs aren't really what they cover or are even that aware of.
