Would happily watch a top 100 from you guys, not just a top 10. Such easy enjoyable viewing and would be great to hear your favourites that aren't such long heavy games
The best board game I have played is Betrayal at house on the hill. I wish it was bigger and more complicated and with expansions. I just love the the fun we all have playing it! Every game is like an interesting story that we create together as we play. Awesome!
Damn, it didn't work for me. I've been thinking of selling my barely played copy for years. Just way too much down-time between the overly fiddly and long turns. Nobody gives a rats ass what the other players are doing on their turns, and there's no player interaction except in ways which piss off other players like direct conflict or beating them to places they wanted to go. Also it has a run-away leader problem and the point-salad scoring at the end is it at odds with the rest of the design. It might work as a 2 player game, but in that case I'd rather play a computer game or a story driven game like 7th Continent. I've been vaguely thinking about trying Clank! as a lighter, more fun alternative though.
Great video guys - my top 1-10 are: Keyforge, Ankh, Pax Parmir2, For Glory, Concordia, Tigris & Euphrates, Vindication, Brass Birmingham, 7 Wonders Duel, Eclipse 2nd Dawn
Tigris and Euphrates in a list, very interesting. You don't see this gem often in lists. Vindication (perfection), Brass Birmingham (and Lancashire (meaner)) , Concordia and 7 Wonders Duel are in my top 10 as well. Need to check Eclipse but is is so damn expensive.
GOOD list with diversity and respect for it all. A few preferences would be KEMET: B&S over Slay the Spire and Twilight Imperium 4 over Eclipse. I mean you have HIS and CC:E on there - very nice! (Try Virgin Queen as it beefs up the powers and streamlines HIS a good bit). A very well done quick yet efficient video!
Oh yeah what a great video, thanks guys. I love Nemesis and Lockdown, just amazing games. Slay The Spire is unbelievably good in Coop and Dune is just a must for some conflict gaming with your brothers haha. Android Netrunner is quite good, I liked the Community Add On, it just makes the game so much better. Wonderlands War is my next game to try.
My top 10: 10-1 Concordia, Eldritch Horror, Great Western Trail, Everdell, Dominant Species, Blood on the Clocktower, A Feast for Odin, Brass: Birmingham, Kingdom Death: Monsters, Twilight Imperium 4E
Hegemony, Dune, and Android Netrunner are all in my current Top 10! Others include Arcs, Arkham Horror LCG, Ark Nova, A Feast For Odin, Pax Pamir 2E, Dead Reckoning, and Kanban EV.
Thanks for sharing. Oathsworn is near the top for me too! I also enjoy Dune Imperium, but also Ruins of Arnak. And, Marvel Champions:LCG is in my Top 10
Super nice to see some love for GMT gales from a reviewer. Ive played HIS exsctly once and we made it through about half. Was so bummed cuz I was digging it. Liked it more than Dominant Species for sure. But Id never buy it because I wouldnt be able to teach it nor play it, no matter how much I like the theme. What you think of Space Empires 4x?
If you love Here I Stand and dueling games, then I highly recommend Pax Renaissance. It’s deep, it scales well from 2-4, and it is stupidly replayable. Also, since you guys have a soft spot for asymmetrical conflict, give Cthulhu Wars a shot. It’s the best Tentacles on a Map game there is.
Aeon Trespass and Oathsworn are so damn good. My top 10 would be (in no order). Brass Birmingham, Oathsworn, Aeon Trespass, Aeon End, Pax Pamir 2nd edition, Concordia, Dune Imperium, Lost Ruins of Arnak. Gugong, KDM.
Here’s the top 10 for me: Burgundy Slay the Spire Captain Sonar Brass: Birmingham Feast for Odin Gloomhaven Orleans Puerto Rico Undaunted Twilight imperium
Personally I recommend the first as I feel it is more streamlined, but everyone has a favorite. Read the rules and/or watch a playthrough and you'll have a better idea of which one you prefer!
Sad Spirit Island keeps falling down. But happy that Hegemony and Nemesis are that high, you guys should definitely be my friends 😆 PS. As to Hegemony I haven't seen the Capitalist won. I wanna see that someday.
Android Netrunner is still the best PvP game ever. Very surprised to see anyone mention it. A computer version pretty much killed face to face play then the company dropped the license for the game. Still played online and Null Signal games is expanding it with new compatible card sets. Still good stuff.
I think to this day, my favorite is still CO2 second chance. I love TM, but the cooperative side of CO2 draws me to it. Hegemony is yet to be tested by me and my wife
I bought the original on kickstarter recently. Even though I haven't tried any of them yet, I like the sound of the setting and vibe of that one the best. Lockdown is on a Mars base or something which for me just isn't as thematically classic as being on a space-ship and the objectives don't seem as classic. And Retalliation is too combat / monster swarm focused, whereas I like the idea of the original game where it's more about the suspicion and tension and less about kill kill kill. Some people say the mechanics in Lockdown are a bit better, but for me there are more important considerations with this kind of game.
Top 10 multiplayer games for me right now: Aeon Trespass Odyssey Arkham Horror LCG Oathsworn (2 campaigns) Pandemic Fall of Rome Pax Pamir Shadows of Brimstone Pax Renaissance Castles of Burgundy Obsession Spirit Island Top 10 solo: Fields of Fire is easily my favorite solo game; the best military sim I've seen to date but probably best for expats else it will take 10 hrs to learn. Cascadia (light and relaxing, great campaign) Star Trek Frontiers (simpler easier Mage Knight) Dawn of the Zeds (or Zulu on the Ramparts) Marvel Champions LCG Thunderbolt Apache Leader Twilight Inscription b/c I have overplayed Hadrian's Wall Warfighter Shadow War (didn't think I would like it due to limited gear on team but wow!) Final Girl (very light but thematic) Under Falling Skies
RUNEWARS!! Only for mentioning this fantastic game this deserves more atention! Not Top 1 only because of Arkham Horror, best for me even than TI… Greetings from Brazil!!
TCG’s shouldn’t be on board game lists imo. They aren’t board games. They’re card games. Would you put poker on a board game list? Solitaire? Keep board game lists for actual board games.
I'm sure you're in the extreme minority with this definition. Card games ARE board games, and most board games are just card games with a few extra props tacked on. It's not the guy on the right's fault he's into crusy old war games and TCGs, at least the guy on the left has great taste.
Would happily watch a top 100 from you guys, not just a top 10. Such easy enjoyable viewing and would be great to hear your favourites that aren't such long heavy games
This is my first year in the board game hobby and right now out of my small collection Primal is my favorite of all time
Welcome to the hobby :)
So happy to see Netrunner in the list! Almost makes up for the snubbing of the undisputed best game of all time VOIDFALL
…almost
@@tabletop_roadso happy to see Netrunner in the list! Almost makes up for the snubbing of the undisputed best game of all time ROOT!
Would love to see a detailed review of Eclipse second dawn from you guys!
I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work👏
Ohh that would be awesome!!
Eclipse second dawn is by far one of my favourite games.. ofc I like TI too, but that game just takes too long🤷🏼♂️
Review would be really nice
Eclipse is great, anyone played the new race expansions?
The best board game I have played is Betrayal at house on the hill. I wish it was bigger and more complicated and with expansions. I just love the the fun we all have playing it! Every game is like an interesting story that we create together as we play. Awesome!
Man… war of the ring looks so goooood all painted
Good list! My #1 for several years running now is still Mage Knight

The triumphant face expression when Here I Stand was revealed on the board was noticeable.
Great picks!
Awesome list guys. I like/love all the games you mentioned (apart from Nemesis.)
Merry Xmas!
Guys, really enjoy your humor and taste in games :D Keep it up! Wish you a Happy Christmas Season and loads of great game sessions!
Happy holidays!
Great video guys - my top 1-10 are: Keyforge, Ankh, Pax Parmir2, For Glory, Concordia, Tigris & Euphrates, Vindication, Brass Birmingham, 7 Wonders Duel, Eclipse 2nd Dawn
My top list is probably
1. Galaxy Trucker
2. Gloomhaven
3. Cosmic Encounter
4. Quacks of Quedlinburg
5. Saboteur 2
6. Nemesis
7. Forgotten Waters
8. Wiz-War

@@rolfvansoelen8916it’s a great game, cross between area control, strategic war game, and tile placement game
@@rolfvansoelen8916 You certainly saw it in a lot of lists back when it was ranked #2 on BGG. People on here worshipped Reiner Knizia back then.

I look forward to this video every year! It's so cool and interesting how your favourites change and shift over time
Glad you enjoy it!
Great list! I'll be painting my WoTR soon is there anywhere I can see more pictures? I like some of the color choices you made.
Oh yeah what a great video, thanks guys. I love Nemesis and Lockdown, just amazing games. Concordia, Eldritch Horror, Great Western Trail, Everdell, Dominant Species, Blood on the Clocktower, A Feast for Odin, Brass: Birmingham, Kingdom Death: Monsters, Twilight Imperium 4E
love your videos!
Nemesis is definitely one of my top games. I would add Inis, Food Chain Magnate and Oath to the list.
Thank you for the video
This vid added two more games to my shopping list. 😋
Hegemony, Dune, and Android Netrunner are all in my current Top 10!
Others include Arcs, Arkham Horror LCG, Ark Nova, A Feast For Odin, Pax Pamir 2E, Dead Reckoning, and Kanban EV.
Great list!
Thanks for sharing. Oathsworn is near the top for me too! I also enjoy Dune Imperium, but also Ruins of Arnak. And, Marvel Champions:LCG is in my Top 10
Not the list I would have went with, but all the games on here are, someone can definitely make an argument for.
So many of my favorites are on your list. Finding reviewers that enjoy the same type of games I do is always good.
Glad to hear it!

Well, at least somebody mentioned TI. Upvote.

Hegemony is my #1 and Wonderland's War is my #2! You guys have great taste 😁
I was hoping to see Matt LeaCock's Daybreak (eMission in Germany). Really looking forward to the localized release next year in my country!
Here’s the top 10 for me:
Burgundy
Slay the Spire
Captain Sonar
Brass: Birmingham
Feast for Odin
Gloomhaven
Orleans
Puerto Rico
Undaunted
Twilight imperium
Dune imperium: uprising is easily my #1
Ah, very good! The nemesis boys are back in town!
Which is the better Game? Nemesis or Lockdown. I'm thinking about buying one but don't know which one
Lockdown is the best but you can't go wrong with either
Personally I recommend the first as I feel it is more streamlined, but everyone has a favorite. Read the rules and/or watch a playthrough and you'll have a better idea of which one you prefer!
I've got AOT:Odyssey due to you guys, best commitment I've ever done... what a great game
Nice video love it! What do u guys think of Star Wars rebellion? Never heard u talk about that awesome game
It is in my top 20. /JanisG
Great, but you missed Forbidden Stars
Sad Spirit Island keeps falling down.
But happy that Hegemony and Nemesis are that high, you guys should definitely be my friends 😆
PS. As to Hegemony I haven't seen the Capitalist won. I wanna see that someday.
Android Netrunner is so good but if you dont have a Community for it it Beckens so difficult to play

Yes, the dedicated and passionate Fan/creators at Nisei are doing the Lords work.
Great picks but ... but... Where is Twilight Imperium? 😢 The best of all time and parallel universes!
Have you tried Imperial Struggle? Highly recommended ;)
Can you take twilight struggle from the list please? So that i can sell it off and use the shelf space for war of arrakis?
Thats not going to be enough shelf space. Not even close ;) /JG
@ oh no, i hope it will fit through my door tho!
Ah, that should not be a problem. ;)
I'd like to see how different the opinions are from Janis and Janis on Successors
So in all time challenge War of the Rings won against War for Arrakis
I think to this day, my favorite is still CO2 second chance. I love TM, but the cooperative side of CO2 draws me to it. Hegemony is yet to be tested by me and my wife
Do you prefer wonderlands war or the newly funded avalon riven veil?
What’s your favorite version of Nemesis of the three? Which one would you encourage someone to buy as their first (and probably only $$) Nemesis game.
I bought the original on kickstarter recently. Even though I haven't tried any of them yet, I like the sound of the setting and vibe of that one the best. Lockdown is on a Mars base or something which for me just isn't as thematically classic as being on a space-ship and the objectives don't seem as classic. You can't go wrong with the original one ;)
When you say nemesis on here. Do you mean nemesis or nemesis lockdown??
They are almost the same game. If you're wondering which one to get - we'd suggest the original ;)
right on that’s the one I ordered. Your channel is great and helps me decide quite often what I should pick up next.
Top 10 multiplayer games for me right now:
Aeon Trespass Odyssey
Arkham Horror LCG
Oathsworn (2 campaigns)
Pandemic Fall of Rome
Pax Pamir
Shadows of Brimstone
Pax Renaissance
Castles of Burgundy
Obsession
Spirit Island
Top 10 solo:
Fields of Fire is easily my favorite solo game; the best military sim I've seen to date but probably best for expats else it will take 10 hrs to learn.
Cascadia (light and relaxing, great campaign)
Star Trek Frontiers (simpler easier Mage Knight)
Dawn of the Zeds (or Zulu on the Ramparts)
Marvel Champions LCG
Thunderbolt Apache Leader
Twilight Inscription b/c I have overplayed Hadrian's Wall
Warfighter Shadow War (didn't think I would like it due to limited gear on team but wow!)
Final Girl (very light but thematic)
Under Falling Skies
Which Nemesis is the best one?
You can't go wrong with the original one ;)
Where is Dune war for arrakis and Star wars Rebellion? What places?
Both in top 20 at least for one of us ;)
GMT COIN series when
Am I one of the few who prefers underwater cities over terraforming mars?
I prefer underwater cities wayyy more than TM
How can wonderland war pass dune! Sacrilegious! :p
RUNEWARS!! Only for mentioning this fantastic game this deserves more atention! Not Top 1 only because of Arkham Horror, best for me even than TI… Greetings from Brazil!!
Damn where is Rebelion and Twilight Imperium! This is scam! :D
Wow, no ArkNova? 👀
I don’t think I saw blood on the clock tower or cosmic encounter on this list. You guys are slipping.
Teraforming List is a hybrid coop origami game...😂
Where is Patchwork? Smh

For me, two men sharing reviews feels overpowering, unbalanced. Can one of you invite your gf, wife, sister or mother to your videos once in a while?
Heroquest? The f?
