Myler loved her and tried to care for her, he knew what the clans were like and that a clan cat caused her the wounds that she died from and tbh I wish she would've killed off the Riverclan apprentice and killed Appledusk and Reedshine both, so maybe she would've lived a happy life with Myler, and Appledusk and Reedshine to be both in the darkforest, that is how it should've been. Mapleshade and Myler, those two would've been adorable together with three kits of their own, Mapleshade would've been happy again
How is Reedshine’s fault?? She didn’t know Appledusk was mates with Mapleshade, and even if she did, she still wouldn’t deserve the Dark Forest. Even though I hate Appledusk, he wouldn’t either. That’s where murderers go, not an innocent cat and a weirdo.

And the Riverclan apprentice? Perchpaw is innocent. He did nothing wrong, he was a THOUSAND percent warranted in killing Mapleshade. You wanted her to of killed a child? She saw Mapleshade drowning, and saw Mapleshade getting saved by Riverclan, so assumed the kits had already been saved by them too. And even if she had some swimming capabilities, she still would’ve drowned because of the intensity of the water due to the storm. It had to be Riverclan who helped. Frecklewish is not perfect, but that argument “she disliked the kits, so she let them die” is insane. She didn’t know they were drowning, and even if she did, she could do nothing about it except drown with them. You can like Mapleshade as a character, I do as well, but she is a villain.
