I feel like the conversation between Stormtail and Bluefur was meant to be an important moment for her character in that the only piece of advice her father ever gave her was "life sucks, get over it, and work hard for your clan" is something she clearly lives by and is what slowly destroys her. She puts her clan above her own happiness and her children. And when that makes her miserable and unfulfilled she goes right back to hating Starclan the way she did right before Stormtail gave her that advice. Her not getting any resolution from Stormtail kind of makes sense given how it impacts her actions and personality, retroactively.
@@Draconicdisciple Yes, sure, but the book clearly is trying to display the exact opposite of this sentiment with her resolution with Stormtail. If you read it it's clear they intended for it to be a meaningful resolution.
I remember when I read Bluestars Prophecy as a 13-14 year old I interpreted Stormtail as being kind of a skeevy middle aged guy who liked Moonflower because she was young and pretty but then bounced out as soon as she had children. He then moved on to the next young pretty thing and ended up staying with this one much longer since she didn’t have children (or at least while they were together) I remember Goosefeather had a line that stuck with me, when he told Bluekit “you’re Moonflower’s kit and she’s the smartest cat I know…About most things, anyways.” While he’s looking at Stormtail. Which I thought was interesting back then, like it was saying that Moonflower was an extremely smart and capable warrior but even she missed a lot of red flags. I dunno, I doubt any of it was purposeful. I don’t like the huge age gaps in warriors but if they’re going to do it it’d be nice if there was acknowledgment of it being extremely toxic. Like if Dappletail got pregnant and Stormtail once again bounced and Bluefur realized that she had absolutely no chance of ever gaining his respect and in fact wasn’t someone who she wants to respect her anyways would have been interesting. I dunno.
I would love to hear you talk about Rowanclaw. He went from a pretty feisty (she)cat to a leader that let everyone walk all over him before dying. I know his leadership has been heavily discussed but I want to see more of a focus on the change in his character up to the point/brief talk about it. Also him and Tawnypelt don’t appear to have much chemistry (from what we saw beforehand) and yet were together in a seemingly decent relationship. Also his grandkid getting named after him only to have the same issues of what gender they are and their looks between the alliances and what is described in book is so strange and makes me wonder if the name is cursed in a way.
I’d love a breakdown of his mindset and personality. He’s an interesting character especially bc he’s a purposely bad leader. Tho I do love him always think of Russetstar- like image what we could’ve had with a horrible overly controlling Russetfur as leader but no one listens to her so she’s constantly on the verge of breaking down. I just love Russetstar au she’s amazing
I would want a video about Brambleberry! She's a generically good medicine cat but not in an unlikeable way. I loved her in Crookedstar's Promise. and Tallstar's revenge. She's a good example of what medicine cats should be doing in the current main series, I think
i really loved her and I kinda wish they went into how Stormkit/Crookedkit saw her as maybe not a mother but an older sister of sorts. They seem close and it was really cute. I also really like her name

i think an interesting talking video could be daisy. people are very split on their opinions of her but she’s a very sweet little kitty and her story intrigues me a lot. the fandom tends to dislike her either for her interactions with cloudtail or her decision to stay a nursery queen (but i think it might be warrior cats fandom sexism… just me though...) her kids are also a little silly i like mousewhisker & hazeltail enough and berrynose is. berrynose.
YES!! I’ve always really liked Daisy but she’s always just kinda been… there. She’s either mindlessly agreeing with what the plot says she should or talking about kits/being a nursery queen. Her choice to keep her name is powerful too and I really wish we saw more bonding between her and Millie.

I would love a video abt Juniperclaw because he honestly feels underrated despite the fact of him being actually really interesting. The way he helped Shadowsight both as a kit and in the dark forest was really sweet, and I think he definitely deserved to go to Starclan and it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how his punishment was handled.

I would love to see a video about Jagged Peak! He's a disabled cat that doesn't really get much attention compared to other disabled cats and faces a lot of ableism from Gray Wing which is really annoying when the writers prove Gray Wing right rather than Jagged Peak

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Blackstar. He was the deputy for two Shadowclan tyrants and gained a redemption arc (if you can even call it that because Blackstars Reckoning was pretty bad in my opinion) upon becoming leader. He was the cat who managed to restore Shadowclan after Brokenstar and Tigerstar and I'd love to see more of him. He is a very morally grey character which we don't tend to see much in leaders of warrior cats. They're either completely good or completely bad. Blackstar is neither, he's more of a chaotic neutral. Also the dynamic between himself and sol was waaaay more interesting to me than whatever lionblaze or hollyleaf was doing at the time

I really want one about Foxleap! I find him to be a surprisingly interesting background character compared to the rest of the cardboard cut-outs. One of the few completely unimportant background characters that DOES still have some sort of personality! And I mean…. By himself, not just him and Icecloud. I feel like he should’ve had kids so maybe we could have some more ginger cats NOT related to Firestar.
I think a video on Star Flower would be awesome!! We hardly got to hear much of her after her villain arc, and after she bore kits. She kinda just transported from a main antagonist to a background character.

I personally would like to see a talk on Darkstripe. Sure he's more major than other suggested characters but he's such a fun character to think about. Mostly. His undying loyalty to tigerstar, his vendetta against firestar and his relationship with his half siblings are all interesting. And his whole character makes him seem like some sort of loser and I find that funny, especially for warrior cats. I mostly want to hear people talk about him because I think his character being a loser is funny tbh 😭
I would say that the antithesis to Stormtail would be Shellheart. Crookedstar’s father. Shellheart was a good dad who stood up against his (former) mate Rainflower’s cruelty towards his son. Iirc (it’s been years since I’ve read Crookedstar’s Promise) he was a very encouraging and loving figure in Crookedstar’s and Oakheart’s life

I really want to hear you talk about Shrewclaw from Tallstars Revenge. I think he’s a really interesting character and nobody really talks about him. Despite him being so important to Tallstars revenge, he seems kind of forgotten, like nobody remembers he exists. He also has a very complicated relationship with Tallstar, that once again, I find really interesting. Overall I think he’s neat and I want to hear you talk about him.
Yes this, please! Something else that is never mentioned at all- Mudclaw is Shrewclaw's son (as well as Tornear) and I think that is such an interesting addition to both Shrewclaw and Mudclaw's characters, that get completely overlooked.
I love how Shrewclaw and Tallstar play off of each other. Their interactions are fascinating to pick apart. I love how when you get to the end you see how Shrewclaw wasn't ever trying to be cruel. Tallstar just had such a jaded and negative view of the worldthat he interpreted Shrewclaw's behavior the wrong way.

I would love one about Hollyleaf! she's my favorite character and I feel like there's a lot to talk about with her, not just about her parents but about the prophecy, being a medicine cat then warrior, her relationships with Willowshine and Cinderheart and Fallen Leaves, having so much potential, etc! I personally love how Hollykit wanted to be respected and looked up to and that's why she chose to be a medicine cat (until she learned that she was better as a warrior), I think it was a nice change from the typical "I want to be a warrior so I can fight the other clans to protect my clan" or "i want to be a medicine cat because i love healing cats" kinda thing that the majority of cats have. I also think it's so sad how she spent her entire life dedicating it to the warrior code and starclan and then believing she had a purpose with the prophecy, only to learn later that starclan chose only her brothers and specifically excluded her. I could go on and on lol, I just think she's an interesting character
Definitely! He practically zapped out of existence during timeskips in Bluestar's Prophecy, despite him being such an interesting background character.
I honestly forget that Stormtail is canonically Bluestar's dad. He has such little impact on the books beyond being an absent father. Like the guy lives in the same community with his children and yet doesn't talk to them? Did he and Moonflower ever even talk in Bluestar's Prophecy beyond "hey look at our children"? Still kind of wild that Dappletail is said to have kits with RUNNINGWIND when Stormtail was right there. Just get rid of the line about her being barren and have Bluestar mention that Stormtail didn't give a crap about his other children (one of whom was stolen by a fox?) in the last chapters. (Edit: it would be interesting growth to have Bluestar crave his attention and respect initially but then realize that she doesn’t care if he respects her or not, because he sucks) Overall a very bad kitty.
I would love to see a talking or mini talking on Icewing. She is one of the few modern RiverClan cats who has done literally anything, for example she was a Dark Forest trainee, and I just want to see more people talk about her honestly.

I would really enjoy a video about Ashfoot she’s extremely underrated. I think she’s just a nice cat in general. She struggled as deputy right after being named it. She was also Crowfeathers mother. After her death Ashfoot kept on visiting crowfeather saying she couldn’t go to starclan until he’s happy. And it would be be nice to hear your opinion on her. :)
You should talk about Shellheart, Crookedstar and Oakheart’s father. I sort of liked his character when I read Crookedstar’s Promise but that was way back when. I don’t remember much about his character other than he apparently died of a “painful lump in his stomach” and that he dumped his wife over the whole Stormkit-Crookedkit thing.
I really liked him and how he defended crookedkit. It was surprising to see a cat call out abuse the way he did and the fact it ruined their relationship instead of him just ignoring it or even supporting it. It was refreshing

I think it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Mudfur! I think he has an interesting role as a medicine cat who was actually allowed to be present as a father in his daughter's life, plus I think his situation with Mothwing and his whole deal as a powerful warrior who chose to give it up is cool.
I feel like a talking video about Needletail could be interesting - just because she is interesting to me and I would love to see an analysis of her - she’s not in that many books but manages to leave a huge impact regardless.
I would love a Tallstar talking video! He has the super edition with arguably the best plot and character development, but also the most glaring example of Harper Collins stymying gay relationships in the series. If you were reading the series as a little kid back in the day, you got to see his story play out in medias res, starting from a low point in his leadership to WindClan returning to the lake, then watching his decision-making come into question when he suddenly makes Onestar his successor. But then in his SE we get context for where he came from. I think that this famously pacifist leader having such a bloodthirsty drive in his youth is really interesting.
I think a video about falling feather and Jackdaws cry would be good, They’re interesting characters and their death was one of the most impactful in the series for me.
Same, close littermates that may as well have been twins killing each other at the same time. Loving sibling spent their last moments with the blood of the other in their mouth. If Falling Feather is the same cat I'm thinking of that Skystar called "as low as a snake's belly" (or something like that, for assisting with something I don't remember), then with the way she behaved just before the Great Battle compared to her in the other books implied to me that Skystar's treatment of her broke her and I felt pity imagining what he could have put her through. To be honest, that death was gut-wrenching, but it almost felt like a mercy for Falling Feather to me. Like Jack had to put her out of her misery, even if he went down doing it. It probably wasn't as bad as that, but that's what it felt like.
Maybe a Cloudtail video? I’ve heard about a million different ideas about what the kittypet food is supposed to represent, and he was an atheist before Mothwing was. Maybe I’m stupid, but I also don’t remember him ever going into depth about how he feels about StarClan after The Great Battle like she did.

Icewing actually has a really interesting background- her son beetlewhisker died in the dark forest and she trained there as well, she got held captive and starved by darktail, she disagreed with Mistystar and got kicked out of riverclan (lived with shadowclan for a while.) Not like the books will ever treat her as a true character because she isn't important, but I really like her! I hope she becomes Riverclans leader!
I think that Thrushpelt could be a could candidate for a talking video. He never showcased bitterness over Bluestar having kits with someone else and filled the role of the kits father happily,(and he also was even more involved with his foster kits more then most toms are even towards their biological kits except maybe Dustpelt). To me he’s just a sweet Cinnamon-roll character, and even though he’s a background character he makes an impact. Also he is just one of the more interesting background characters
The way Bluestar was treated in Bluestars phrohecy always made me so angry even as a child, she lost everyone she ever loved and her clanmates acted like she was ridiculous for "mourning for too long" and needed to move on like she didnt lose her mother and sister is horrible ways and as far as they knew all three of her NEWBORN KITS were taken and eaten by foxes. But my bad guys right she had a job to do bc otherwise the leader wouldve just HAD to choose the bloodthirsty idiot as a deputy instead and not like fucking thrushpelt or smthn.
I think a video about Willow Tail would be great! I think she's a very interesting character and is severely underrated. She was saved by Wind Runner as a kit, only to be not recognised and outright shunned when they meet again as adults. She loses her brother and friend to dogs, yet only mentions her friend when getting revenge on the cat who she views as at blame. She starts an entire war over this friend, a cat that has nothing to do with the clans, causing the deaths of several cats as far as I'm aware, and yet is let into StarClan. I think she has a lot of potential, I'd love to hear your thoughts on her and honestly?? I just want her to get a bit of spotlight.
I would really like one about Weaselfur! He's always aggressive to ThunderClan, but he is always defeated and he ALWAYS runs away. I find him funny. I also think that there's more to him in Crowfeather's Trial than cat who hates Breezepelt. He lost his brother in the battle against the DF, so he had a reason to be mean. His redemption arc was good to see too.

Everyone brings up Moonflower and Dappletail’s age difference to Stormtail, but why does no one seem to remember that Leopardfoot was still Leopardkit when Pinestar became leader
Maybe you could do a video on Redwillow? He's one of the only Dark Forest trainees who fought for the side of the Dark Forest besides Breezepelt. He also was the only cat who died during the Great Battle who went to the Dark Forest. He appeared later in The Broken Code, but he doesn't do much and disappears into the dark water. He really doesn't seem to have a real motivation besides that he was somehow corrupted by training in the Dark Forest.
I never thought of Stormtail as a good cat. I remember being mad at him in Bluestar’s Prophecy because as soon as Moonflower died, he immediately starts flirting with Dappletail. Not to mention that in the battle that she was killed in, Stormtail helps Dappletail fight off a warrior. Which wouldn’t be a problem, but at the same time Moonflower is literally getting chased and attacked my multiple warriors and everyone else is occupied, but Dappletail is capable of defeating a warrior on her own. Not to mention when they’re returning to camp he doesn’t comfort his own kids. His obvious attraction to young she-cats is concerning, even more so when you factor in how young Dappletail is in comparison to him. Sure, so was Moonflower, but holy gosh Dappletail… and the Erins choose to write this. Sure, character stuff, but it’s just gross.
I think that maybe SunStar would be a good cat to talk about. He was there for BlueStar when her mother died, and ultimately was much better than Stormtail was. I also think that his crush on Moonflower would be a fun topic to discuss.
I am once again requesting Icecloud and Foxleap. Frequently bought together, do not separate. I know I'm not the only one who thinks they were done dirty when they got killed off in the space between OotS and AVoS (them and all the other young cats and Spiderleg that got killed offscreen in that timeframe).
Agree, Foxleap deserved so much better. He's one of the most unique side characters and he's just really fun to see. Icecloud was cool too, but to me her brother stands out way more.
I would want to see a talking video on ivypool, she was a main character, lost her kit to the very thing she spent a ton of her life trying to get rid of and I think is a very good contender for a new leader because at this point I think squirrel flight will just retire with bramble
can u talk about jagged peak, he goes from this upbeat and defiant kit to a depressed and resentful adolescent, then finds happiness and a mate in holly as an adult, but they unfortunately bring out the worst in each other. i just find it interesting how much he changes from the beginning of sun trail to moth flights vision while simultaneously going from one of my favorites of the DotC era to one of my least favorites
I feel like a video about Scourge would be interesting! He's only really in two books but he's probably one of the most iconic cats fandom/ design-wise which is fascinating for how little he's actually in the books..
I think you should talk about featherwhisker! He’s never really talked about and most (if not all) of his emotions are completely ignored from the books and the fandom, he is seen only as a basic, nice medicine cat that mentored Spottedleaf and was apprenticed by Goosefeather-two characters that completely outshined Featherwhisker’s overall character in general, its not like Featherwhisker had much going on anyways but it’d be rlly cool to hear what you have to say about him!
i think you should talk about fern leaf next! she's one of my favorite dotc cats and for once a dotc she-cat that doesn't die! she was an ex one-eye follower and and later on a reluctant spy for the moor cats which i found very interesting! seeing her finally getting to settle down and rest for once after everything she went through was really satisfying
I think a Goldenflower video would be interesting. Goldenflower was a loving mother to Swift, Bramble, and Tawny, but the authors didn’t tell us how she reacted to Bramble becoming deputy, Swift’s death, her kits leaving after Midnight, etc. As well as her being former mates with one of the biggest villains in the series. (And they didn’t give her a death scene..)
It would be cool to see a talking about Leafpool! She is my favorite character and i think there is a lot to be said about her relationship with starclan. And also basically she served as a temporary med cat within every clan at some point and even trained one of shadowclan's med cats. but despite everything shes done for other cats she was almost not allowed in starclan. i just feel like there is a lot of substance to her that is rarely talked about, and that shes often overshadowed by her sister within the fandom and conversations about warriors characters in general
Definitely agree on everything said here on Stormtail. Weird dude I cat I don’t see talked about often with a lot of potential for the new series is Hollytuft. She’s a bit spunky from what I’ve seen and I think could be an interesting person for Nightheart to interact with. They could have potential as friends, or even someone for Nightheart to confide in because she too is named after a long dead relative who did some important stuff. However Nightheart doesn’t really give her a second thought apart from when they’re on patrol together one time.
I feel like warriors is really lacking interactions/relationships like this now, most characters seem to only have mates and that’s it, POT is my favourite arc because there’s so many apprentices and characters with actual personalities (tell me one thing honeyfur or leafshade has done. please.) and they seem like genuine friends (and enemies at points, glances at berrynose and lionblaze)
I would really love it if you talked specifically about Jayfeather and Squirrelfights parent child relationship. They always seemed so close and because of his powers he knew she never pitied him for being blind and even after the reveal he knew she loved him and regretted losing her kits more than being shamed and losing her mate. Lionblaze and Hollyleaf especially break off from her after the reveal but in the recent arcs it even mentions Jayfeather defending her and comforting her over the imposter stuff. I love their relationship he even goes out of his way to mix her traveling herbs to be tastier as an apprentice and acts embarrassed when she notices- In that same light leafpool also seems jealous of how close they are even tho we know shes jealous in general we see it with jay a lot because when jaypaw interacts with squilf leafpool is usually there too. Love you moonkitti!!
I would really like to hear about Goosefeather. Since hes been a cursed cat since hes been a kit, already being an apprentice young, having his full name young, prophecies, visions, seing the future of Sunstar and Featherwhisker. Hes a really interesting character in my opinion and theres some things to talk about
It would have been interesting to see how Bluestar would have interacted with Dappletail’s kits if they were her half-siblings, and I want to try writing a fanfiction with the assumption that Dappletail did in fact have kits with Stormtail. Those kits would likely experience the same lack of parenting that Bluestar did, and Dappletail might end up being treated the same way Moonflower was. Bluestar and Dappletail could connect over this, and Bluestar develops a bond with her younger siblings. Stormtail is simply a bad father and the narrative framing him as such is good. Making him unlikable is fine. Maybe his background could be more explored, but it shouldn’t justify his behavior.
I would love to see a talking video about Birchfall! He's the father of Dovewing and Ivypool, trained in the dark forest, was alive when they lived in the forest and lived through so many major events. He's underrated in my opinion!
I think Crookedstar would be an interesting cat to talk about. He broke his jaw as a young kit, scarring himself and making his hate him and got his named change to something cruel. He ran away and met Mapleshade, who made him swear a promise that changed his life (plus faking an omen that made Crookedjaw question his deservance). We also got to see Brambleberry in his book who was a great cat towards Crookedstar and couldve been a better mother than Rainflower ever. Crookedstar eventually _stood up_ stood up to Mapleshade after all his heartbreak and self questioning. (you don't have to go too deep into mapleshade if you dont want to moonkitti but at least slightly mention (or more) her please)
I forget, have we already done Spiderleg? The whole “bad dad” thing reminded me of him and I’d like to place a vote for him if not. Or Daisy, I think she’s amazing and a strong single mom if we haven’t done her either.
I think that Sorreltail would be a good cat to talk about. She's mentioned for a while but ends up getting sidelined later in life. But she plays an important role and might have something to offer when it comes to talking about her.
I'd love a talking video about Clear Sky of dotc! He's a great antagonist / villain and I love his dynamic with Graywing, his motive for the borders ect is also interesting.
I'm so glad that someone finally started to talk about Stormtail. Seriously, when I just started reading Bluestar's Prophecy I already hated him. He disappeared in life of his both daughters and Moonflower, he just starts to have interest in Dappletail which just freaks me out. He was a terrible father figure to his daughters, I'm glad that Sunstar was more like a father figure to Bluestar after her mother's death. OH YEAH, and Stormtail DIDN'T EVEN REACT to his mate death, it's so messed up... I just want to say that he's an awful character, I really want him to go to the dark forest instead of star clan, like REALLY. I JUST CAN'T THROW THESE FACTS ABOUT STORMTAIL AWAY. A character I’d love a video of is HeatherTail! I think she was a strong female character who inevitably fell victim to personality loss like a lot other she cats just to fit the role of a mate, but she was a no BS girl! And I love that! And I wanna hear how ud describe her. She had way more potential. Especially when it comes to her and DarkTail, there’s such good content that could’ve been explored, them being siblings and all
I'd love to hear you talk about Speckletail, she was super loving to Snowkit, and was in denial that he was deaf, and after Snowkit died, she and Brightpaw sort of assigned each other to care for each other, which was really sweet, but I've never seen anybody talk about it
Can we please talk about Stick or Dodge? I find them to be interesting and Dodge’s vengeance towards Leafstar for helping Stick in SkyClan’s Destiny apparently inadvertently led to SkyClan’s downfall. Stick is alright and you can kinda see where his aggression is coming from, even if in the end, you cannot (and believe me, I don’t) excuse his actions towards Dodge’s gang, who were mostly afraid of him, minus a few loyal followers.

A talking video about Frecklewish would be cool. She's misunderstood and seen as a bad person by lots of people, but i think theres more to her character than the cat that watched kits get washed away.

One of my favourite scenes from Blusters prophecy is when Sunstar takes Bluekit out of camp just for a walk. I don't know why, but I found that kinda cool. I always saw Sunstar as a sort of cool uncle figure to Bluster.
Stormtail honestly kinda reminds me of Dustpelt, and I think we all know why. Sure, Dustpelt didn't cheat on Ferncloud (who was a literal kit when he was a warrior) and he did at least help raise his kits a little but still. Dustpelt was interested in a Fernpaw, literally fresh out of the nursery, from the moment he set eyes on her. It's creepy. Apparently Stormtail was interested in Dapplepaw the moment he saw her too. While Bluefur was seen as having problems with Stormtail and Dappletail being interested in eachother despite the huge age gap, Fireheart thought Dustpelt having feelings for a LITERAL CHILD was "amusing"? Obviously there's more than that but I think I've gotten my point across. Ofc this hasn't been the only time it's happened, there are SO SO many cats having feelings feelings for cats WAY older or WAY younger than them; my point Warrior Cats seems to like normalizing p*dophilia, but it's very problematic. Not all series are perfect; they all have problems, but Warrior Cats has so many problems that it's insane..

I would love to see a video about Juniperclaw or Dustmuzzle(Mothflight’s Vision)! I love both characters and Juniperclaw could’ve been involved more. I was surprised to see him become some starclan/darkforest guard. Dustmuzzle is not very interesting but I’m curious about what you have to say about him.

Can we get a gray wing video? He’s a pretty interesting character, my personal favorite if I’m being honest. He’s a sweet guy that is so full of love and wants to be able to share a nest with his kits and mate without worrying about them all suffering horrible deaths. He’s heroic, and still cares for his brothers even after being abandoned. Would love to hear your thoughts on him!

Alright; hear me out. Leafstar of SkyClan. Of course, in the way that the books present her, she can be seen as a generic character, more so, leader. Compared to the other nearly all male leaders that we have, I just have always loved her. She’s serious, and strict, yet compassionate about her job, and an overall good representative for her clan. Perhaps I like the version of her that I’ve invented in my head, more than the actual character, though, I feel so urgently that she could have been explored, and dug into much more than she was, whether that be in SkyClan’s Destiny, or in the Main Series. Leafstar has had it rough, is what I am trying to say, and she has so much potential to be just as good a character- well, just as popular a character as Jayfeather, or Ivypool.
You should talk about Rowanstar! The most useless father in the world.... maybe. I honestly don't know what to think about him. He is, or should be, a pretty big presence, yet he's very forgettable, despite being Tawnypelt's mate and Tigerstar II's father. That's my entire reason because my brain can't think very well.

I feel like the conversation between Stormtail and Bluefur was meant to be an important moment for her character in that the only piece of advice her father ever gave her was "life sucks, get over it, and work hard for your clan" is something she clearly lives by and is what slowly destroys her. She puts her clan above her own happiness and her children. And when that makes her miserable and unfulfilled she goes right back to hating Starclan the way she did right before Stormtail gave her that advice.
Her not getting any resolution from Stormtail kind of makes sense given how it impacts her actions and personality, retroactively.
even if something can make sense retroactively, it certainly wasn't intended that way when that conclusion is never drawn in the book itself

I remember when I read Bluestars Prophecy as a 13-14 year old I interpreted Stormtail as being kind of a skeevy middle aged guy who liked Moonflower because she was young and pretty but then bounced out as soon as she had children. He then moved on to the next young pretty thing and ended up staying with this one much longer since she didn’t have children (or at least while they were together) I remember Goosefeather had a line that stuck with me, when he told Bluekit “you’re Moonflower’s kit and she’s the smartest cat I know…About most things, anyways.” While he’s looking at Stormtail. Which I thought was interesting back then, like it was saying that Moonflower was an extremely smart and capable warrior but even she missed a lot of red flags.
I dunno, I doubt any of it was purposeful. I don’t like the huge age gaps in warriors but if they’re going to do it it’d be nice if there was acknowledgment of it being extremely toxic. Like if Dappletail got pregnant and Stormtail once again bounced and Bluefur realized that she had absolutely no chance of ever gaining his respect and in fact wasn’t someone who she wants to respect her anyways would have been interesting. I dunno.

I would love to hear you talk about Rowanclaw. He went from a pretty feisty (she)cat to a leader that let everyone walk all over him before dying. I know his leadership has been heavily discussed but I want to see more of a focus on the change in his character up to the point/brief talk about it. Also him and Tawnypelt don’t appear to have much chemistry (from what we saw beforehand) and yet were together in a seemingly decent relationship. Also his grandkid getting named after him only to have the same issues of what gender they are and their looks between the alliances and what is described in book is so strange and makes me wonder if the name is cursed in a way.

Brambleberry's always been one of my favorite med cats. She was a way better motherly figure to Crooked than Rainflower.

YES!! I’ve always really liked Daisy but she’s always just kinda been… there. She’s either mindlessly agreeing with what the plot says she should or talking about kits/being a nursery queen. Her choice to keep her name is powerful too and I really wish we saw more bonding between her and Millie.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Blackstar. He was the deputy for two Shadowclan tyrants and gained a redemption arc (if you can even call it that because Blackstars Reckoning was pretty bad in my opinion) upon becoming leader. He was the cat who managed to restore Shadowclan after Brokenstar and Tigerstar and I'd love to see more of him. He is a very morally grey character which we don't tend to see much in leaders of warrior cats. They're either completely good or completely bad. Blackstar is neither, he's more of a chaotic neutral. Also the dynamic between himself and sol was waaaay more interesting to me than whatever lionblaze or hollyleaf was doing at the time

I personally would like to see a talk on Darkstripe. Sure he's more major than other suggested characters but he's such a fun character to think about. Mostly. His undying loyalty to tigerstar, his vendetta against firestar and his relationship with his half siblings are all interesting. And his whole character makes him seem like some sort of loser and I find that funny, especially for warrior cats. I mostly want to hear people talk about him because I think his character being a loser is funny tbh 😭

I would say that the antithesis to Stormtail would be Shellheart. Crookedstar’s father. Shellheart was a good dad who stood up against his (former) mate Rainflower’s cruelty towards his son. Iirc (it’s been years since I’ve read Crookedstar’s Promise) he was a very encouraging and loving figure in Crookedstar’s and Oakheart’s life
Fr Shellheart was one of the best fathers in the Warriors series.

Despite him being so important to Tallstars revenge, he seems kind of forgotten, like nobody remembers he exists. Yes this, please! Something else that is never mentioned at all- Mudclaw is Shrewclaw's son (as well as Tornear) and I think that is such an interesting addition to both Shrewclaw and Mudclaw's characters, that get completely overlooked.

I love how Shrewclaw and Tallstar play off of each other. Their interactions are fascinating to pick apart. I love how when you get to the end you see how Shrewclaw wasn't ever trying to be cruel. Tallstar just had such a jaded and negative view of the worldthat he interpreted Shrewclaw's behavior the wrong way.

I would love one about Hollyleaf! she's my favorite character and I feel like there's a lot to talk about with her, not just about her parents but about the prophecy, being a medicine cat then warrior, her relationships with Willowshine and Cinderheart and Fallen Leaves, having so much potential, etc! I personally love how Hollykit wanted to be respected and looked up to and that's why she chose to be a medicine cat (until she learned that she was better as a warrior), I think it was a nice change from the typical "I want to be a warrior so I can fight the other clans to protect my clan" or "i want to be a medicine cat because i love healing cats" kinda thing that the majority of cats have. I also think it's so sad how she spent her entire life dedicating it to the warrior code and starclan and then believing she had a purpose with the prophecy, only to learn later that starclan chose only her brothers and specifically excluded her. I could go on and on lol, I just think she's an interesting character

I honestly forget that Stormtail is canonically Bluestar's dad. He has such little impact on the books beyond being an absent father. Like the guy lives in the same community with his children and yet doesn't talk to them? Did he and Moonflower ever even talk in Bluestar's Prophecy beyond "hey look at our children"?
Still kind of wild that Dappletail is said to have kits with RUNNINGWIND when Stormtail was right there. Just get rid of the line about her being barren and have Bluestar mention that Stormtail didn't give a crap about his other children (one of whom was stolen by a fox?) in the last chapters. (Edit: it would be interesting growth to have Bluestar crave his attention and respect initially but then realize that she doesn’t care if he respects her or not, because he sucks)

I would love to see a talking or mini talking on Icewing. She is one of the few modern RiverClan cats who has done literally anything, for example she was a Dark Forest trainee, and I just want to see more people talk about her honestly.

You should talk about Shellheart, Crookedstar and Oakheart’s father. I sort of liked his character when I read Crookedstar’s Promise but that was way back when. I don’t remember much about his character other than he apparently died of a “painful lump in his stomach” and that he dumped his wife over the whole Stormkit-Crookedkit thing.
I really liked him and how he defended crookedkit. It was surprising to see a cat call out abuse the way he did and the fact it ruined their relationship instead of him just ignoring it or even supporting it. It was refreshing

I think he has an interesting role as a medicine cat who was actually allowed to be present as a father in his daughter's life, plus I think his situation with Mothwing and his whole deal as a powerful warrior who chose to give it up is cool.
I feel like a talking video about Needletail could be interesting - just because she is interesting to me and I would love to see an analysis of her - she’s not in that many books but manages to leave a huge impact regardless.
I would love a Tallstar talking video! He has the super edition with arguably the best plot and character development, but also the most glaring example of Harper Collins stymying gay relationships in the series. If you were reading the series as a little kid back in the day, you got to see his story play out in medias res, starting from a low point in his leadership to WindClan returning to the lake, then watching his decision-making come into question when he suddenly makes Onestar his successor. But then in his SE we get context for where he came from. I think that this famously pacifist leader having such a bloodthirsty drive in his youth is really interesting.
I think a video about falling feather and Jackdaws cry would be good, They’re interesting characters and their death was one of the most impactful in the series for me.

Same, close littermates that may as well have been twins killing each other at the same time. Loving sibling spent their last moments with the blood of the other in their mouth. If Falling Feather is the same cat I'm thinking of that Skystar called "as low as a snake's belly" (or something like that, for assisting with something I don't remember), then with the way she behaved just before the Great Battle compared to her in the other books implied to me that Skystar's treatment of her broke her and I felt pity imagining what he could have put her through. To be honest, that death was gut-wrenching, but it almost felt like a mercy for Falling Feather to me. Like Jack had to put her out of her misery, even if he went down doing it. It probably wasn't as bad as that, but that's what it felt like.
Maybe a Cloudtail video? I’ve heard about a million different ideas about what the kittypet food is supposed to represent, and he was an atheist before Mothwing was. Maybe I’m stupid, but I also don’t remember him ever going into depth about how he feels about StarClan after The Great Battle like she did.

Icewing actually has a really interesting background- her son beetlewhisker died in the dark forest and she trained there as well, she got held captive and starved by darktail, she disagreed with Mistystar and got kicked out of riverclan (lived with shadowclan for a while.) Not like the books will ever treat her as a true character because she isn't important, but I really like her! I hope she becomes Riverclans leader!
I think that Thrushpelt could be a could candidate for a talking video. He never showcased bitterness over Bluestar having kits with someone else and filled the role of the kits father happily,(and he also was even more involved with his foster kits more then most toms are even towards their biological kits except maybe Dustpelt). To me he’s just a sweet Cinnamon-roll character, and even though he’s a background character he makes an impact. Also he is just one of the more interesting background characters
The way Bluestar was treated in Bluestars phrohecy always made me so angry even as a child, she lost everyone she ever loved and her clanmates acted like she was ridiculous for "mourning for too long" and needed to move on like she didnt lose her mother and sister is horrible ways and as far as they knew all three of her NEWBORN KITS were taken and eaten by foxes. But my bad guys right she had a job to do bc otherwise the leader wouldve just HAD to choose the bloodthirsty idiot as a deputy instead and not like fucking thrushpelt or smthn.
I think a video about Willow Tail would be great! I think she's a very interesting character and is severely underrated. She was saved by Wind Runner as a kit, only to be not recognised and outright shunned when they meet again as adults. She loses her brother and friend to dogs, yet only mentions her friend when getting revenge on the cat who she views as at blame. She starts an entire war over this friend, a cat that has nothing to do with the clans, causing the deaths of several cats as far as I'm aware, and yet is let into StarClan. I think she has a lot of potential, I'd love to hear your thoughts on her and honestly?? I just want her to get a bit of spotlight.

I also think that there's more to him in Crowfeather's Trial than cat who hates Breezepelt. He lost his brother in the battle against the DF, so he had a reason to be mean. His redemption arc was good to see too.

Everyone brings up Moonflower and Dappletail’s age difference to Stormtail, but why does no one seem to remember that Leopardfoot was still Leopardkit when Pinestar became leader
Maybe you could do a video on Redwillow? He's one of the only Dark Forest trainees who fought for the side of the Dark Forest besides Breezepelt. He also was the only cat who died during the Great Battle who went to the Dark Forest. He appeared later in The Broken Code, but he doesn't do much and disappears into the dark water. He really doesn't seem to have a real motivation besides that he was somehow corrupted by training in the Dark Forest.
I never thought of Stormtail as a good cat. I remember being mad at him in Bluestar’s Prophecy because as soon as Moonflower died, he immediately starts flirting with Dappletail. Not to mention that in the battle that she was killed in, Stormtail helps Dappletail fight off a warrior. Which wouldn’t be a problem, but at the same time Moonflower is literally getting chased and attacked my multiple warriors and everyone else is occupied, but Dappletail is capable of defeating a warrior on her own. Not to mention when they’re returning to camp he doesn’t comfort his own kids.
His obvious attraction to young she-cats is concerning, even more so when you factor in how young Dappletail is in comparison to him. Sure, so was Moonflower, but holy gosh Dappletail… and the Erins choose to write this. Sure, character stuff, but it’s just gross.
I think that maybe SunStar would be a good cat to talk about. He was there for BlueStar when her mother died, and ultimately was much better than Stormtail was. I also think that his crush on Moonflower would be a fun topic to discuss.
I am once again requesting Icecloud and Foxleap. Frequently bought together, do not separate. I know I'm not the only one who thinks they were done dirty when they got killed off in the space between OotS and AVoS (them and all the other young cats and Spiderleg that got killed offscreen in that timeframe).
Agree, Foxleap deserved so much better. He's one of the most unique side characters and he's just really fun to see.
Icecloud was cool too, but to me her brother stands out way more.
I would want to see a talking video on ivypool, she was a main character, lost her kit to the very thing she spent a ton of her life trying to get rid of and I think is a very good contender for a new leader because at this point I think squirrel flight will just retire with bramble
can u talk about jagged peak, he goes from this upbeat and defiant kit to a depressed and resentful adolescent, then finds happiness and a mate in holly as an adult, but they unfortunately bring out the worst in each other. i just find it interesting how much he changes from the beginning of sun trail to moth flights vision while simultaneously going from one of my favorites of the DotC era to one of my least favorites
I feel like a video about Scourge would be interesting! He's only really in two books but he's probably one of the most iconic cats fandom/ design-wise which is fascinating for how little he's actually in the books..
I think you should talk about featherwhisker! He’s never really talked about and most (if not all) of his emotions are completely ignored from the books and the fandom, he is seen only as a basic, nice medicine cat that mentored Spottedleaf and was apprenticed by Goosefeather-two characters that completely outshined Featherwhisker’s overall character in general, its not like Featherwhisker had much going on anyways but it’d be rlly cool to hear what you have to say about him!
i think you should talk about fern leaf next! she's one of my favorite dotc cats and for once a dotc she-cat that doesn't die! she was an ex one-eye follower and and later on a reluctant spy for the moor cats which i found very interesting! seeing her finally getting to settle down and rest for once after everything she went through was really satisfying
Unfortunately, I don't think even the Hunters put much thought into either Stormtail or Oakheart.
I think a Goldenflower video would be interesting. Goldenflower was a loving mother to Swift, Bramble, and Tawny, but the authors didn’t tell us how she reacted to Bramble becoming deputy, Swift’s death, her kits leaving after Midnight, etc. As well as her being former mates with one of the biggest villains in the series. (And they didn’t give her a death scene..)
It would be cool to see a talking about Leafpool! She is my favorite character and i think there is a lot to be said about her relationship with starclan. And also basically she served as a temporary med cat within every clan at some point and even trained one of shadowclan's med cats. but despite everything shes done for other cats she was almost not allowed in starclan. i just feel like there is a lot of substance to her that is rarely talked about, and that shes often overshadowed by her sister within the fandom and conversations about warriors characters in general

I cat I don’t see talked about often with a lot of potential for the new series is Hollytuft. She’s a bit spunky from what I’ve seen and I think could be an interesting person for Nightheart to interact with. They could have potential as friends, or even someone for Nightheart to confide in because she too is named after a long dead relative who did some important stuff. However Nightheart doesn’t really give her a second thought apart from when they’re on patrol together one time.
I feel like warriors is really lacking interactions/relationships like this now, most characters seem to only have mates and that’s it, POT is my favourite arc because there’s so many apprentices and characters with actual personalities (tell me one thing honeyfur or leafshade has done. please.) and they seem like genuine friends (and enemies at points, glances at berrynose and lionblaze)
I would really love it if you talked specifically about Jayfeather and Squirrelfights parent child relationship. They always seemed so close and because of his powers he knew she never pitied him for being blind and even after the reveal he knew she loved him and regretted losing her kits more than being shamed and losing her mate. Lionblaze and Hollyleaf especially break off from her after the reveal but in the recent arcs it even mentions Jayfeather defending her and comforting her over the imposter stuff. I love their relationship he even goes out of his way to mix her traveling herbs to be tastier as an apprentice and acts embarrassed when she notices- In that same light leafpool also seems jealous of how close they are even tho we know shes jealous in general we see it with jay a lot because when jaypaw interacts with squilf leafpool is usually there too. Love you moonkitti!!
I would really like to hear about Goosefeather. Since hes been a cursed cat since hes been a kit, already being an apprentice young, having his full name young, prophecies, visions, seing the future of Sunstar and Featherwhisker. Hes a really interesting character in my opinion and theres some things to talk about
It would have been interesting to see how Bluestar would have interacted with Dappletail’s kits if they were her half-siblings, and I want to try writing a fanfiction with the assumption that Dappletail did in fact have kits with Stormtail. Those kits would likely experience the same lack of parenting that Bluestar did, and Dappletail might end up being treated the same way Moonflower was. Bluestar and Dappletail could connect over this, and Bluestar develops a bond with her younger siblings.
Stormtail is simply a bad father and the narrative framing him as such is good. Making him unlikable is fine. Maybe his background could be more explored, but it shouldn’t justify his behavior.
I would love to see a talking video about Birchfall! He's the father of Dovewing and Ivypool, trained in the dark forest, was alive when they lived in the forest and lived through so many major events. He's underrated in my opinion!
I think Crookedstar would be an interesting cat to talk about. He broke his jaw as a young kit, scarring himself and making his hate him and got his named change to something cruel. He ran away and met Mapleshade, who made him swear a promise that changed his life (plus faking an omen that made Crookedjaw question his deservance). We also got to see Brambleberry in his book who was a great cat towards Crookedstar and couldve been a better mother than Rainflower ever. Crookedstar eventually _stood up_ stood up to Mapleshade after all his heartbreak and self questioning.
(you don't have to go too deep into mapleshade if you dont want to moonkitti but at least slightly mention (or more) her please)

I think that Sorreltail would be a good cat to talk about. She's mentioned for a while but ends up getting sidelined later in life. But she plays an important role and might have something to offer when it comes to talking about her.
I'd love a talking video about Clear Sky of dotc! He's a great antagonist / villain and I love his dynamic with Graywing, his motive for the borders ect is also interesting.
I'm so glad that someone finally started to talk about Stormtail. Seriously, when I just started reading Bluestar's Prophecy I already hated him. He disappeared in life of his both daughters and Moonflower, he just starts to have interest in Dappletail which just freaks me out. He was a terrible father figure to his daughters, I'm glad that Sunstar was more like a father figure to Bluestar after her mother's death. OH YEAH, and Stormtail DIDN'T EVEN REACT to his mate death, it's so messed up... I just want to say that he's an awful character, I really want him to go to the dark forest instead of star clan, like REALLY. I JUST CAN'T THROW THESE FACTS ABOUT STORMTAIL AWAY. A character I’d love a video of is HeatherTail! I think she was a strong female character who inevitably fell victim to personality loss like a lot other she cats just to fit the role of a mate, but she was a no BS girl! And I love that! And I wanna hear how ud describe her. She had way more potential. Especially when it comes to her and DarkTail, there’s such good content that could’ve been explored, them being siblings and all
She was consistently stubborn and determined well into Crowfeather's trial, not sure how she had personality loss.
I'd love to hear you talk about Speckletail, she was super loving to Snowkit, and was in denial that he was deaf, and after Snowkit died, she and Brightpaw sort of assigned each other to care for each other, which was really sweet, but I've never seen anybody talk about it

Can we please talk about Stick or Dodge? I find them to be interesting and Dodge’s vengeance towards Leafstar for helping Stick in SkyClan’s Destiny apparently inadvertently led to SkyClan’s downfall. Stick is alright and you can kinda see where his aggression is coming from, even if in the end, you cannot (and believe me, I don’t) excuse his actions towards Dodge’s gang, who were mostly afraid of him, minus a few loyal followers.
I never realized that they had daddy issues, Snowfur choosing Thistleclaw out of all cats now makes sense. Her mother, Moonflower, did the same thing with choosing Stormtail.
Thistleclaw was younger than Snowfur though. By a few months. Bluestar named him.

I would really like a video about stormfur, I think he is a really intresting character, being "dead" to the tribe for a point, and changing clans multiple times, having to adapt in multiplr situations I also really like his chapters in The New Prophecy. :)

One of my favourite scenes from Blusters prophecy is when Sunstar takes Bluekit out of camp just for a walk. I don't know why, but I found that kinda cool. I always saw Sunstar as a sort of cool uncle figure to Bluster.
Stormtail honestly kinda reminds me of Dustpelt, and I think we all know why. Sure, Dustpelt didn't cheat on Ferncloud (who was a literal kit when he was a warrior) and he did at least help raise his kits a little but still. Dustpelt was interested in a Fernpaw, literally fresh out of the nursery, from the moment he set eyes on her. It's creepy. Apparently Stormtail was interested in Dapplepaw the moment he saw her too. While Bluefur was seen as having problems with Stormtail and Dappletail being interested in eachother despite the huge age gap, Fireheart thought Dustpelt having feelings for a LITERAL CHILD was "amusing"?
Obviously there's more than that but I think I've gotten my point across. Ofc this hasn't been the only time it's happened, there are SO SO many cats having feelings feelings for cats WAY older or WAY younger than them; my point Warrior Cats seems to like normalizing p*dophilia, but it's very problematic.
Not all series are perfect; they all have problems, but Warrior Cats has so many problems that it's insane..

Alright; hear me out. Leafstar of SkyClan. Of course, in the way that the books present her, she can be seen as a generic character, more so, leader. Compared to the other nearly all male leaders that we have, I just have always loved her. She’s serious, and strict, yet compassionate about her job, and an overall good representative for her clan. Perhaps I like the version of her that I’ve invented in my head, more than the actual character, though, I feel so urgently that she could have been explored, and dug into much more than she was, whether that be in SkyClan’s Destiny, or in the Main Series. Leafstar has had it rough, is what I am trying to say, and she has so much potential to be just as good a character- well, just as popular a character as Jayfeather, or Ivypool.

You should talk about Rowanstar! The most useless father in the world.... maybe. I honestly don't know what to think about him. He is, or should be, a pretty big presence, yet he's very forgettable, despite being Tawnypelt's mate and Tigerstar II's father.
