  • Asmita Mukherjee (Indian Institute of Technology Bombay) tells us about Probing gluon transverse momentum dependent parton distributions at the EIC.
    Abstract:
I’ll discuss how the gluons inside the nucleons, and the correlations between transverse momentum and spin can be probed at the EIC through single spin and azimuthal asymmetries.

Asmita Mukherjee received her PhD from the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, India. She then held postdoctoral researcher positions at the University of Regensburg and the University of Dortmund in Germany and at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. In 2005 Asmita accepted a position in the Faculty of Physics Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and has been a professor in the same department since 2015.
Asmita has been a Humboldt fellow at the University of Tuebingen, Germany (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) and a SERB-POWER Fellow (DST-SERB, India).
