What a beauty...love natural wood grain finishes and WOW, would you look at the weight of that thing ??? Under 7lbs ? Be still my beating ♥ Now all I need is $2600 ! LOL
I loved the satin. Mine had great tones and was super light weight (somewhere in 5.5lb range). My only gripe was that the trem block is smaller than the ones that are on their custom Moderns. Also, the volume and tone pot posts are smaller as well compared to their more expensive Moderns.
I had one HH, with Indian rosewood fingerboard (not pau ferro). Super lightweight (2.8 kg) and comfortable. But I sold it because I disliked two things: 1) this guitar sounds extremely bright, very hard to get heavy tones; and 2) the neck was extremely unstable: any minimal weather change would require a truss rod adjustment, probably because of the lightweight & unfinished African mahogany neck.
Hello Jon. I apologize for being off subject. I have a HB TE-40 TBK. I saw you review one a while back. I have one. Two peculiar things I would like to ask about. First is why are the string through holes offset? Styling? Also where the strings come across the bridge. The strings contact the back of the bridge body before they reach the saddles. Is this a problem I need to fix, or should it be ok? Dose anyone make a narrower bridge that may be better? Thank you Jon.
What a stunning guitar.... Wow. Thanks for sharing, Jon!! I love how utterly understated, unassuming it is, yet it sounds incredible, and I bet it plays just as nice, if not better! It would be on my radar if it would help pay the bills, LOL!! Enjoy!
Hi Jon, isn't there a push-push split coil on the tone knob ? Mine has one, maybe not a serial mod ? I'd like to hear about this mod on yours, if there is one ! BTW, thanks for your video !
Hi Jonathan, loved the look of this model by Suhr, the body looked so pristine in its original skin, great sounding pickups and appointments. Great review. Cheers ✌️🎸💜
I love that natural tactile finish Jon. It’s got a lovely rich tone. You really rocked out wonderfully on that Intro. It looks In excellent condition. Excellent video as usual Jon thanks 😃👍❤️👍

Oh really.. that’s a pretty rare thing
Jon since you've reviewed both, how does a shiejie ssh compare to a suhr ?
I think the main thing for me is the pickups...Shur makes their own and it suits their guitars,,,
What a great guitar, thanks Jon
Glad you like it!
Me gusta mucho, thanks.
Thank you
Wood grains are my fav. Beautiful.
Mine too!
Probably my most favourite video! Thanks Jon. Still prefer your Paoletti? 🙏
Most definitely!

Thank you Tom.. hope you’re feeling better!!❤️
They really missed out by not including a split for positions 1 & 5, I really want the modern plus and they actually offer it in left handed
👍
I own that model. Brilliant guitar!
Yes
This guitar is really cool 😊❤
It is!
@@JonIsJustTooLoud 👍
The Suhr Modern Satin sounds a little muddier and muted to my ears. Great playing as always.
You are quite right✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoudfor the price point, would you recommend this or a custom build with Shue guitars?
@@wfntube well.. try spec-ing out what you want from Shue and then decide..✌️❤️
@topitopka I have an all mahogany guitar with mahogany neck even, with Suhr Thornbuckers slapped in. It is legit good stuff.
