Thanks for the great video, had the Seastream Angler 120. Two issues were that beneath the seat they crack. Issues with the scupper holes with leaking. That was two, now moving to the Lure 11.5. Praying that it’s a little more solid. It’s a scary feeling to be on the water and constantly thinking if you’re going to lose your gear. Be safe
Awesome setup man! I have the same kayak and I'm deciding to make the switch to trolling motor, couple of quick questions for you. Can you go all day using the trolling motor on that battery? What kind of speeds are you getting with the watersnake?
@@baseballgod103 from my calculations, to totally deplete battery, I'd have to run it 6 hours straight on high and 2.5 on low. But as usual, when you are fishing, it's on and off and on and off to fish. I've had it in the river all day fishing around it and never killed it yet
Thanks for the upload. I would like to ask how long do have the yak and is the seat still like it was new.asking because it’s a lot of aluminium there and my concern is it’s durable?
I have the same kayak and motor , Just done a little different . I have 2 downriggers i use with it . I also run 2 fishfinders if running downriggers. The first fish finder is rigged to the bow . i used it as fish finder , but mainly depthfinder for motor . second fishfinder is just used with the downriggers . I have a anchor trolley on each side with quick releases just incase .
Yes I will probably end up taking my time as well. I've been doing research on kayaks and I keep coming back to the lure. I really like it. And I've seen videos of people modifying that center console to install a trolling motor. I didn't know there was something already created for an easy install. Makes me want it even more lol
You do have to have the Feelfree rudder with the motor if you put it in middle console. It doesn't turn well just using motor. The rudder makes it handsfree too
Awesome set up very clean . I have a new lure 13 5 and have really enjoyed rigging it up. Feel Free makes a quality kayak.
Thanks you! Yeah my only complaint are the track systems. They really should have industry standard track system on them
@@bassaholicfishing , I thought they had changed the tracks on the newer versions .

The V2 lure they addressed a few issues from the V1 version. I've had mine a couple of years with zero issues
I have a feel free lure 11.5 kayak and I love it
💪🏻
Another Awesome video!! Your set up is awesome as well. Main question did you catch any fish that day?? LOL
I did! Only 2 though! Water was low and clear 😭

@@baseballgod103 yes, I've not killed it yet on the water. I get 2 mph on low and 3.5-3.6 on high.

Awesome! Its been a dependable setup
@@bassaholicfishing , I have been running with my set up for 5 seasons now . I wish i had done it when i first bought the kayak in 2016 .
It definitely makes it easier and what I love about it is when I want to go lightweight, I just put the pod in and leave motor at home
@@bassaholicfishing , I have a extra pod to put in when not using motor .

Interested in the anchor wizard mounting plate. What do you got? Thanks

I'll be posting a video up this year of my feel free lure 11.5. With a through hull autoboat setup. Spotlock, waypoint nav etc
There ya go
How far does the motor stick out on the bottom?
Um I can fully pull it up into the recess on bottom of the Lure recess. If I deploy it all the way down for use, it can stick down a good 12" or more
What's the cost of a full setup like that if you don't mind me asking.
Kayak: $1200
Motor: $130
55AH Lithium Battery $250-$500
Motor Bracket: $140
Fishing Crate: $140
Anchor Wizard $120
OTWI kayak Trailer :$5000
It's taken us a few years to accumulate all this though
