and amazingly, incredibly - fathers too. I must have woken up my kids 20 times when they were tiny to check they weren't dead. Even though I have a penis.
It’s not trust. The elephant handler is carrying a stick with a sharp end. It’s called a bull hook and it’s used to inflict pain if the elephant doesn’t do what they want.
@@KimmyBee I don't think that's the case actually. The pole has 2 ends, and they don't appear to be sharp. They are likely cattle prods. They're not really powerful enough to cause any real harm, but if an elephant doesn't see a keeper and goes to walk over them, such as when moving sideways / backwards, this could save the keeper's life. Or if the elephant takes a turn and does get defensive over the baby, it will give the keepers some safety.

Maybe don't build your farm on their land, then?
Humans have a nasty habit of thinking we're more important than anything else on the planet, and so call anything that doesn't share that view as a pest or a threat, when actually we're the ones who created that situation in the first place.
@@IlIlllIllIlIIIll its clear you have absolutely no idea about what you are talking about. In their native range (S asia) where they often turn to villages and paddy fields for food, it's because of a variety of anthropogenic reasons. Habitat destruction to convert forest lands to farmlands, industrial construction and mining are three major reasons. If you'd care to study the historical accounts of man-elephant conflicts in those regions, the causal relationship is very evident. They do not simply choose to attack villages. Calling elephants pests just goes to show your gross ignorance
I used to work at a daycare. Some kids are just like that - they sleep longer and harder than others. Some take a cat nap, like 30 mins. Some can sleep for 2 to 3 hours.
I was definitely part of the ones who slept for 2 or 3 hours. 🤣🤣🤣

I personally slept during the night and slept during the afternoon. :P
One of those sweet, gentle mothers who don't like to yell at her children.
Sooo adorable. Baby looked a bit surprised. I'm sure mom was relieved.
She’s scared of the bullhook in the handlers hand. Thinking she might get jabbed so she runs to mom. Bigger picture here
Omg, how precious! Bb was exhausted from an exhausting BB day. Mom panics & alerts the help, who make BB get up. BB is like, "Omg!" And then, "Where's my mommy?!!"
Oh, that's so cute 🐘Elephants are so sensitive, affectionate, and gentle for their size 🐘
elephants are so loving and protective of their young that they won’t even jostle their kids out of deep sleep??? man am I jealous
I love how the little guy goes from "Let me sleep!" to "Food time!" is like 2 seconds.
Absolutely right.He has his priorities..
So cute when he ran straight to his mum ❤
I had a golden retriever do the same thing. Out like a light.
Mine was like that too as a puppy. I could pick up and carry him without waking him.😂
I have 2, about 1 year old, they don't want to sleep at night, any tips?
@@aquamon17 Wear them out. Play with them and take long walks.
The dog I was talking about was full grown. As far as the puppies go, if they are not sleeping in the bedroom they should be. Dogs are pack animals and they want to be with the pack.
@@bitburg40 Thanks.
Cute baby 😂❤
What a bond with the zookeepers, she was getting stressed out but knew they were coming to help out. That’s years of taking good care of them and instilling trust
Seeing this video brings back the memories of anxiety that I’m sure every new mum will relate to😌
and amazingly, incredibly - fathers too. I must have woken up my kids 20 times when they were tiny to check they weren't dead. Even though I have a penis.
So true! ❤
It's me. On school days. Always
What a great comment and how true it is!
My personal issue was that I'd do this on school days, but on weekends/holidays I could not sleep past 6 AM
Now I wanna be a zookeeper. Having this amazing bond with your favorite animal and its adorable babies is a dream come true. ❤❤
Baby loves laying in the warm sun.
He absolutely does cuz he was out cold..
I mean deeply in sleep.
The fact mama elephant was trusting the keepers to handle her baby is wholesome 😊
@@Pattoe If you read up on it, you'll see how it's used.
@@KimmyBeeIt’s too small. The sticks look like they are for the buckets. Also, this is a sanctuary. You should not think so negatively and assume the worse.
@@KimmyBee
Looks like the sticks that are used to feed some animals. The fact that you're so sure that they mistreat their elephants is sick. If that was the case, the mama would have NEVER ask for their help. 🙄🤦♀️
All mommas go thru this, humans alike 😮Loves her baby checks 😊
This is precious. The smile he gives when the baby startles awake and runs to momma is so sweet. What a sweet moment
The baby elephant is the cutest, having a really good sleep by the looks of things, mama was concerned and got help, glad everything was ok.
That's a lot of trust by Mama. These are things you can't buy.
The keepers are officially pack members 💜💜💜 Shows how well this family is loved and cared for!
It's a zoo.
How sweet! I LOVE interspecies communication and caring. Fills my heart.
Малышечка крепко спал😘пригрелся на солнышке😘лапушка💖💞будьте здоровы слоники🙏🤲🙌
IN MY VIEW
It was so sweet how the baby CUTIE woke up and instantly ran to its mother.❤
I like how the mother stood back to give the zoo keepers assurance it ok to approach her baby
I don’t think that’s a girl…
@@MelodyHayes Mother elephant can't wake baby sound asleep, asks keepers for help

@@poundtrader1414 I know, I’m just confused on why the title says “mother”
They way she swung her head toward her baby to indicate where she wanted the workers to go is incredible. The intelligence they have is immense.
Such interesting animals. They're so much like us in so many regards but at the same time so different. It's amazing.
I love how they all seemed to be communicating, despite not speaking the same language.
This definitely had the look of EMTs arriving after a mom called 911.
That is just so adorable that the mother elephant explicitly trusts her Keepers, to know she can feel comfortable to ask them for their help. Especially in regards to her baby! Wonderful! 🥰♥️💯😁.
Seeing Animals and Humans working as team is the moments i think life can be peaceful :( Need more of these in my life!
Poor little mite was in deep sleep.
She was soooo gentle trying to wake him❤
The fact of her love and also trust for help is something else. To know to ask, get support, be a mom and beyond it is so beautiful
❤
It’s always beautiful seeing people treat animals the right way, we were truly made to be shepherds. (Note I’m not saying enclosures are ideal I’m just saying it’s incredible how animals of all kinds can learn to trust humans.)
Well said. Good stewards for the rest of nature vs dominate and exploit. Most indigenous saw humans as belonging to and of the land and had far more respect for the earth.
Not kinds, Families. Kind as a classification is religious dogma.

I always find it fascinating seeing elephant initiated elephant and human interactions.
Elephants are very clearly very concious and emotional creatures. And thus have way more ability to adjust to human communication than nearly all other animals.
And of course it makes us humans more able to communicate with thrm in turn, as we can trust they have thr ability to attempt comprehension.
Such a beautiful moment. 😊 That's amazing how much she trusts humans, especially around her baby
This is so damn cute. I felt so warm inside when it woke up and ran to its mother.
It reminded me of when my dog was a puppy and I used to wake him up to take him outside, and he would get all excited to see me.
Elephants are majestic creatures. One of the strongest but also humble AF. Don't hesitate in asking for help. Anything for their herd.
That was so incredibly adorable. That mama elephant knew who to go to when she was in trouble.
I have a Siamese cat who sleeps so deeply I bet I could march a brass band through the room when he’s asleep and he wouldn’t even open one eye. But if I open the treat container, that is two rooms away, he will wake up immediately.
This is the second time I’ve watched this post and it is hilarious. Poor Momma thought her baby was dead and got the keepers ASAP. Poor baby was heavily asleep dreaming about bananas and thrashing about in the water. Love it❤❤❤
That was utterly cute, even though that poor baby was just trying to take a nap! fussy mom!
Very sweet how much she's bonded to the keepers so much that she trusts them to help with her baby ❤ goes to show not all places treat elephants badly. This was a cute, great video. I ❤🐘
Look up elephant bullhook. It’s not trust. It’s fear. She ran that fast to mama so she wouldn’t get hurt.
Notice what these “wonderful handlers” are carrying in their hands.
Such love and trust between the elephants and humans. So nice to see. God bless you all for your love and care of these precious animals ❤️
Amen.
So sweet. She must have been really worried.
Ah poor baby was having sweet dreams 💤💤💤!!! It's so wonderful to see a baby relaxed like that!
Layzeee time!

Thank you guys, I am nothing without you!
Could almost hear the little one scream “MOM” when awakened and seeing that two legged creature standing over. Ran right under mom. Beautiful
Малыш толком еще не проснулся, но побежал именно к своей маме! Очень трогательно и мило! 😍💖❤️❤️

How touching is this? 🥰 Those I keepers must be amazing if she knew she could trust them to help her. And they stood by fretful mama as the others tried rousing the sleeping baby. Well done, guys! Mama seemed so happy and relieved! She knows she can depend on you if she needs you ❤
Momma had a nervous 😩 Momma moment.
Sweet Baby was out cold 😴. So adorable 🥰. And, of course he woke up and ran right to Momma.
