  • Hi! 💛 We're in Xian this week!! ☀️ We took the train from Beijing to Xian for 5 hours and experienced the most luxurious train ride ever because we balled out on the 1st class ticket (so much cheaper than the US) ✨ We are in Xian for 3 days and watch to see what our 3-day travel itinerary was in Xian, China 🇨🇳
On the first day, we woke up at 6am to go see Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum and the Terracotta Army! Our cab driver told us the secret to avoid the MASSIVE crowd that comes to see the Terracotta Army... It's to go see the actual Mausoleum part before going to the Terracotta Army part! The two are separated in two different areas and the people / tour buses always go see the Terracotta Army first (which is what we were going to do too LOL) 🏃‍♀️ We decided to trust our local driver and went to the Emperor's Mausoleum and found it COMPLETELY EMPTY 😱 We got super lucky and enjoyed the peace before the storm that is the Terracotta Army LOL 😂 When we got to the Terracotta Army section, we almost got trampled 💀 There were SOOO MANY PEOPLE in one area 😭 So make sure to take my tip and go to the Emperor's Mausoleum first 🫶
Throughout the day, we had some good local Xian food (biang biang noodles, roujiamo, liangpi, cold noodles, etc.) and I had the BEST lamb skewers of my life 😭🫶 We ate our hearts out while we were in Xian 🐷
The next day, we took the sleeper train for 1.5 hours to go up Mount Hua (Huashan) ⛰️ We waited on a huge line to get on the cable car up the mountain and the views were so worth it (also I wouldn't be able to climb that tall mountain so I had no options LOL) ✨ Then we literally climbed on all fours to reach the peak of the mountain and we were in the clouds ☁️☁️☁️ On the last bit down, we took the lazy and fun way to go down the steps 🎢 This ain't a slow, kid's ride lemme tell you 💨 IT'S VERY FAST AND VERY FUN PLEASE GO ON THIS WHEN YOU'RE AT MOUNT HUA 💯
And as always, thanks for watching this week's vlog! See you next week ❤️

When I was a kid, I lived two streets away from the baozi shop you see at the beginning of your video. Sometimes after school, my mother would buy baozi for dinner from this store. Thank you for bringing me back to see this store again after more than ten years.

The train journey looked very comfortable, nice food too. I have been on long train journeys where I would have loved one of those chairs.
    The terracotta warriors are amazing.
The food looked delicious, so many beautiful places in one video, I will watch it again because just like the last video there is so much see 👍👍👍

Hi! ☺️ Some tips I have would be to book all the major sightseeing places ahead of time! Some places you need a reservation before you get there to enter, so check before you go! 💪 My experience in Xian was that there were a lot more tourists than other cities in China I went to on this trip, so I recommend to start your day as early as possible! ☀️ You will have so much fun on your trip! Have an amazing time with your wife in Xian 🥰

I notice the Chinese do not respect personal space the way westerners do, even in a long queue we make sure there's a step between each person in line but the Chinese just bunch up together, I would love to visit China but that is one thing I would find hard to get used to.
