    Thank you for posting this! I have the Cutie frame and have been debating if I want the Q’nique 19. I think this may have just sealed the deal!

      I love my Cutie frame with my Q'nique 19. Grace Company Customer Service has been fantastic. Give me a shout if you have any questions. I am by no means a pro, but I have work through a few issues (mainly end user error).
      You are going to LOVE it!

    Thank you for your reply! Another question…do you have channel locks on your machine? If so, are they the Cutie channel locks? Thanks…again!

    • @FogDogStudios
      @FogDogStudios  2 года назад

      I do not have channel locks. I think because I don't quilt long stretches of straight at a time, I just didn't need to spend the extra $$. I do a lot of ruler work and have invested in a few nice straight rulers :)

    I know this is several months old, but I wanted to say how I’m glad I found this presentation. Your the first person that I’ve seen show how to put this together. Thank you for sharing that experience. My q’nique 19 and qzone hoop frame should be here on in a few days and I’m a bit beside myself with anticipation! Thanks for giving me a good look at how big she really is and a visual on how to put it together. She really is a big girl! It seams like it makes pretty good stitches right out of the box, or did you have to make some adjustments?
    Did you have issues or pitfalls that you didn’t expect or have any advice for using this machine? I’m excited but a bit nervous as well. I’m sure you understand that quite well. 😁

      I have to tell you, that I was so impressed with how well 19 stitched right out of the box. The two things that I ALWAYS make sure are correct are the tension in the bottom bobbin. The directions explain it perfectly. Follow those directions and you will do great. The other thing that messed me up was not making sure the thread was in the tensioners on the machine. You will love it!!!
      Give me a shout if you have any questions. I am more than happy to help if I can.

      Appreciate your response and your insight. Thank you for the heads up on the tension and threading. I’ll make sure to check those things and will keep you in mind for future questions. I look forward to more videos from you.

    You are so helpful! I bought a Cutie frame about a month ago. For reasons I won’t go into, I’m not able to use the 16” throat machine I had planned on using on it. You have been using your Q’nique 19 for a while now. Do you still love it? If you needed service, where would you get it? Thank you in advance!

    • @FogDogStudios

      I do still love it. If I have to have it serviced; I will need to send it back to Grace Company. I kept the box just for that reason. Not ideal, but doable.

    I just saw your video, thank you very much, i just got my Q19, so i have the same setup as you do - I too am having trouble with the lower encoder, does it go on back left wheel or the middle triangle shaped tab on the back of the carriage? I put mine on the back wheel but there is a large washer that rubs on the track, my husband took it out and it seems to be fine but just worried about it, thanks, love your videos

    • @FogDogStudios
      @FogDogStudios  2 года назад

      My first question is which frame are you using? I am using the Cutie Frame and my lower Encoder mounts to the mounting bracket on the very back of the carriage for my Q'nique19. The "front" encoder mounts right hand back, outside wheel (when looking at the back of the machine. The "back" encoder mounts to the carriage on a little bracket located in the middle of the carriage. If you are on a different frame with a different carriage, it may mount differently.

      @@FogDogStudios thank you for answering, i have the cutie set up just like you, the booklet for the 19 encoders said to put it on back wheel for double wheel carriage but i ended up calling grace and they assured me that it should go on the bracket and sent me the directions, so I will get that corrected today- thanks so much - i enjoy your videos!

      Omg it goes on the bracket? I’ve been emailing Grace company and not getting a response about the amount of drag I’m getting having it attached to the rear wheel like the manual stated!!! Heading up now to revise and see if this fixes things!!!

      @@carylfrench4067 yes! Mine was better after that and even better after we squared up the whole frame! Lol! It was a little off but it made a lot of difference. Have fun

    so you have the regulator on there, does it come with a ruler base? Can you just leave the ruler base on if you wanted to ?

    • @FogDogStudios
      @FogDogStudios  3 года назад

      The Q'nique 19 has a built in stitch regulator - which I LOVE!!! Yes, you can leave the ruler base on if you want to. I take mine off when I know I am not going to be doing any ruler work, purely for the extra inch I gain. Not a big deal, but I get lazy from time to time!

    • @FogDogStudios
      @FogDogStudios  3 года назад

      It does not come with a ruler base - that's extra.

      It is, I should have a quick video posted in the next couple of days. I love the frame. It’s small, and I do not have a whole lot of space.

    I'm new to quilting and have recently purchased the Qnique 19, love it. Is that a practice quilt you are working on and if so where did you get it.

    • @FogDogStudios

      You are going to love the Q'nique 19. I have had mine for just under a month now and absolutely LOVE it!
      This is not a practice quilt. I pieced this using one jelly roll and the Lone Star pattern from Jordon Fabrics. They have a lot of free patterns.

      There is no audio during a large portion of the video. Background music was suppose to be in the empty space, but it did not transfer. Fairly new at video and have no idea why it didn't save.
