@@theragebringer4424 from my experience its not that impactful because by the time you are close enough to the varyag for him to use mines then the varyag won't be able to run away because you can just use your turbo so it wont matter if the mine slow you down for 2 seconds. I destroyed a fully upgraded full HP varyag with my wulkire only loosing i think around 900 HP since heal + repair zone healed a lot of damage.

The huragan and i had a long fight but in the end i killed him but his elektric field killed me too, the raven survived and won the game he was on stage 7 and did 0 kills and 0 damage in the wole game
kran is annoying, but id say the best tanks are cereberus, arlequin and bai lang they are by far the strongest. derp gun is too op on the bai, arlequin has the best abilities and you cant escape it, cereberus overpowered perma tracking gun
I remember slaying in the walkure when steel hunter first started again over a year ago, the ram was so devastating if you used the turbo, sure it’s guns kinda sucked, but if you instakill fully upgraded ravens with a ram, it didn’t matter. Also it’s regeneration ability that didn’t stop if you were damaged allowed you to hide at the very end, if the other last tank wasn’t a walkure, you could just regenerate in the death zone while the other enemy’s repair was canceled by the damage.

you forgot one particular thing about the raven. So theoretically the hp and armor is bad. But in reality in the beginning, shooting HEAT is extremely hard against a raven since you can't pen his side, meaning you have to shoot apcr meaning you do less dmg meaning the raven hp disadvantage becomes neutralized
I really like the how ammo works in steel hunter. Heat does not lolpen, as every tank has spaced armor scattered about it with numerous weak spots. This might drive people to only load apcr, but the damage penalty encourages use of standard ammo with good aim when possible.
Foe me personally, Walküre is like IS 7 in this mode. It is bad in current meta, but if you use turbo and ram in platoon, it is really fun. After like 20 games in platoon of 2 walküres, I can say that ramming ravens is the most fun I've had in a wot for a long time.
I also love to just play for fun, I take Alaquin with 90 km/h engine and shotgun and drive in the city where I see pings come around and shotgun people on the move and run away and repeat. I don't usually get to kill many this way as they heal but its tone of fun and probably annoying for enemy
7:51 you’re a bit wrong here, if you have a auto loader, drops that give ammunition will give you around 50/60% of the amount of shells you can load in your magazine, for example the Arlequin with the 10 shot auto loader would receive 5 shells which is why if you look at replays of arlequins using the 10 round auto loader you see they have a shit ton of shells.
For myself, Walküre is pretty good (if you play it in platoons). If one guy selects armor and the other guy selects HP, that is a perfect match. If you then have the healing circle consumable, you can stay closely together, tank massive amounts of damage, place the circle, and when the battle is still going on, the other platoon member places his healing circle. Plus, when your platoon member has low hp pool, you can stand in front of him and eat the shots or bounce them. Anyways: props for the vid.
Tbh with trap i've barely had much problems in this years steel hunter but the mines i definitely learnt to hate. Ammo is a problem i've ran into but honestly i think it's fine, it just shifts your priority from fighting for big resources, to scouting the map for green drops early on and in emergency to choose a different gun if you can already tell you wont have enough ammo. Huragan is definitely one of my favourites this season because of the insane autoloaders along with the ramping up damage consumable, and the lightning strike is pretty sweet too (sometimes better than the trap depending on situation, and excelent for preventing someone from picking up a drop) the Bai Lang is also easily underestimated because of the robot it can spawn which is incredibly annoying to deal with since autoaim often misses the little shit and you have to aim manually while also looking after the bai lang. Oh and Berserker is crazy too, tho it only really works against tanks that are as fast, or slower than you.

I personally found a lot more success with the harbinger autoreloader. The dpm is good and even not using he, you're still immune to trap for up to 4 shots
I still remember the first steel hunter american tank with 5 shell HE autoloader gun. Most enjoyable thing that i play in Wot. 0,2 second between shoots like machine gun with RPG lmao. Then they decided to remove and steel hunter is scrap for me
I mean the german is pretty good when you use boost perk, that now last for about 10 seconds, so you can run out of trap and ram somebody for a Lot of damage, but then its just meh. But still I got pretty decent games with it
If you are PRO with the landmines, you will drop them, then get them tracked, then push them into more landmines. Thats how you kill with landmines. My fav tank.
I once got destroyed for 1200 dmg by landmines (as arlequin) and my air strike did 36 dmg to him (wasnt perfect but also wasnt missed), I agree with you.
HE was only used in high tiers because of extreme armor profiles in abusable positions, Kranvagn in hull-down for instance. If it were just one or two tanks only causing this problem in just a few maps, that would have been different, but at one point it was the entire high tier meta. Arguably still is. When the E3s start using HE to deal with armor instead of their 375 pen APCR, that's when you know you have an armor problem. You would think WG might have realized that the gratuitous armor was the cause and the HE spam merely a symptom, but alas.
1. I played today with landmines and they literally saved my life from a petty HT who was winning, so I kinda agree. 2. I tried playing Raven, but I always found some tryhard idiot who fought me 1vs1 at tier 1, so I didn't find the time to actually use the Trap and see if it was op. 3. I used Arlequin with HE shells, by mistake, and I didn't win the match because I was against a HT and I couldn't damage it, even by shooting the sides and the rear, so I agree. For the rest, WG stopped being sane with Update 1.13, so it's pointless trying to reason with the company now.
I just lost a 1v1 with Bai Lang to a Raven. He used no consumables, i did both if mine, I hit every shot, he missed his first two, i healed in betwen his clips, and he still kilked me because he reloaded the last shell first. I had nowhere to run, he just had so much more dpm and hp, that he could have aforded to be an idiot and still win
The top suggestion being: "Make it so chems no longer gets stuck ontop of the wrecks of destroyed enemy tanks". We don't know how he managed to do it, but he needs to get down WG.
What about the harbringer? If you use the autoreloading gun, you have 270 pen on your heat round that deals 420 dmg and your first shell loads in 4.5 seconds. You have 5000+ dpm without berserk. With berserk your last shell loads in 2.8 seconds, but your intra-clip is 3 second. This means that you have an autoloader for 20 seconnds with 3 second intra-clip, 420 alfa and enough pen to go through the kranvagn turret. Around 8000 or more dpm. The only downside is that you can't heal.I think it's broken but I want to hear your opinion. (Sorry for typos and my math may not be right, but you get what I want to say)
I played two matches with Varyag and won both. Even against a Kranvagn. Raven Trap is OP, I absolutly agree. If you are in a Harbinger you have no chance at all. Valkyrie was good in first Stellhunter. There's no reason now to play it.
I agree for the most part, however, I disagree when you said that Walkure is pathetic compared to the Raven. "if the german is smart, he can just back his ass into a corner", and that way the Raven is far weaker, as he can not encircle the Walkure anymore, and has a really hard time penetrating the thicc german armour. other than that, fair points
when you started talking about the land mines I was like what about the OP trap that the raven has, and then you brought it up, and yeah the kran is steel hunter is even more powerful because of its upper plate that isnt a pike nose so you can angle it for more armor, and just face hug.
I totally agree with the land mines, but it’s arming time and activation range is absolutely whack to me. Whenever I’ve placed down a mine field, literally on top of my enemy, I’ve seen them drive over multiple of them (even saw the same happen to my platoonmate) yet they weren’t triggered at all. Meanwhile, I’ll be in the receiving end and immediately take max damage and tracking, *AND* they seemingly trigger by proximity rather than actually driving over them

Somehow the Beowulf can out ram the walküre if the Beowulf has the pike nose hull and the walküre is only level 4. So. Not only can it not be penned by the walküre, but the special feature of it can’t even work on Swedish tanks which are supposed to be extremely lightweight.
Walkure is imo the best one there, its just that u have a skill issue, jokes aside, its arguably the best one in the game mode, it might not suit ur playstyle, but i won half of the games i played with it. Point is to use high alpha gun and not the dpm one, also mix up hull and turrets, i use armor hull and hp turret.
i dont even bother playing steelhunter anymore after the very first steelhunter release because of how they input their WG exclusive magic mathematical computations/laws/mechanics works in the game mode.
I thin lights are a bit ufairly treated. They almost never win heavies since they have so much hp that if you are stuck in situation where you have to fight one like at the end you are sort of doomed due to small space left on the map that is safe to use your mobility. I would really love if the vision of lights was quite a bit better in this game mode from the start too. So they have sort of early advantage. and not that many medium tanks have somewhat similar mobility to lights but much stronger overall stats
Minefields : YES Raven : YES (but I have a suspicious that Raven Enjoyer tend to more steel kills and ruin games) Trap : YES YES Ammunitions : Huragan with autoloader at level IV suffering (one day, I ran out of munitions because of the rate fire), so YES YES YES HE Gun : YES, but sometimes I can pen the Bai Lang :) I totally agree, make a petition so chems become the Steel Hunter ambassador !!!
The Varyag is rare enough now that I rarely run into landmines as an issue, the Varyag isn't that strong anyway. Best thing to do is keep your distance against Varyag and Raven so they can't trap you. Also, way to nerf Raven's trap: Make it so it doesn't increase the reload of the trapped tank. the mobility nerf is enough IMO.
its so obvious what the tought process of wargaming is when reintruducing old gamemodes and making them "better". its goes like this: 1. Add new tanks to the gamemode that are OP and buff 1 of the old ones and leave the other 3 as terribly useless as they are next to the new ones. 2.Buff every overpowered toxic mechanic/ability so NOONE can have fun playing this entire game. 3.Money
Make mine detection range to detect mines that are close to you , or if you are already in minefield and 1 mine from this is destroyed by you , all mines that are left from this minefield glow and only these people who triggered 1 mine can see where the mines are . Also you can destroy mines by placing another mines or by bombs from arlequin or by shooting at them
I really don't think it's as bad as this video makes it out to be, unless this is all supposed to be a joke. I think it all depends on playstyle. In a Walkure, I can completely walk all over basically any light tank with a engine power + hitpoints build and a speed boost. It's actually ridiculous how many ram kills I've gotten in it because in that part of the mode, it's just better. I get all my wins with the Walkure, because you can just run over the competition, you just can't get single hit ram kills against mediums. In one game, I ram killed 3 different light tanks on my way to a win. It's quite fun too...
I Forgot to mention something: I have been AMMORACKED by AI STRIKES of Arlequin without having damaged ammoracked . Can someone explain me how is it possible? Say it if you want to see the replay .
most people equip the walkire wrong. you go for mobility with it. both in the hull and turret. and you are better off with the autoloader anyway rather than the alpha or dpm.
I can agree with this because having no pen with HE against spaced armor is ridiculous, you should not be able to sit and look at someone knowing they have 950 alpha.
All these op abilities can be avoided. Just don't get close to raven, look at the ground when fighting varyag, etc. I would say that walküre is very powerful in solo mode again average players when used correctly. Low tier has good armour, now as you can get the turbocharger from green or yellow spots, it can ram anyone with 70+ kmh. That covers lack of dpm. High level has 3300hp and a 2! health restoration abilities. That is incredibly hard to kill for an average player. Walküre counters the minefield with 2nd ability. Fixes tracks almost immediately multiple times. What do you think of arlequin's "bombs" is it balanced? It can be placed at any distance. It pens Light tanks for 800+ dmg if placed correctly, destroys modules, tracks and stuns.
Even thought I mostly agree with Chems as an old WoT player I have to disagree on the HE rounds. Even if an HE ROUND would have 200mm of pen the space would trigger the fuse and do NO damega to the tank. I don't say this to make matters worse with HE since i don't play WoT anymore.
Agree with the Raven. Its stupidly overpowered with its pen and trap. I am not the best of players, but definetely not the worst, and I still have a tough time going trough the fornt of the Raven, when its at level 7.
The Beowulf HP Heal ist just op you cant fight him for 15-20 sec or he gets a 1500 heal (the amaount of dmg you deal) instant while giving you a Clip of 1500 ... balanced or week you say?

I was killed by one of them in a late game while using the op mines not once but three times; the guy was also fighting a Raven; he killed us both and survived and even fought an other Valkyrie and won the game. It is annoying to fight against if the guy in question has tons of heals.
make big alpha gun ammo cost less, especially on tanks like the T-44. If you use the 100mm it costs 252 per shell to do 250 damage. The 122mm gun on the other hand is worse in every single way except Alpha and Caliber and its ammo costs 1025 per shot to do 390! Its already bad in terms of dispersion, aim time, pen, worse cammo after firing, slows the tank. Lower the ammo cost on 122mm on the T-44. It wont even be overpowered if it costs 500 per shell.

In my opinion steel hunter is not meant to be fair, cause u can win in every tank if u know how to play and has like 60% of normal human brain. The only thing that they need to change is to spread spawns a little bit.
OK I have some feedback. Mines I mostly agree, but mines are beatable. If you stand still, they do nothing. My problem is that the varyag can ram you through the mines, constantly tracking and stunning you. I would remove the stun, then it would just lock you in place, which is fine imo. Raven I mostly agree again. The weakness is healing, I will come back to this in the heavy feedback. But the trap is OP, your solution is good but simply decreasing the range by half or removing the reload penalty would work too. Valkyrie is trash No. People neglect the MASSIVE HP pool and double heal. I was fighting valkyrie with raven the other day, and he was able to OUTHEAL me until the trap ran out and then just kill me. And in the early game, it is unbeatable, 1v1 stock everyone loses to it, you just don't have enough ammo. Ammo problem For me this is part of the strategy. If I'm low on ammo, I will be inclined to take higher alpha. But your solution has some problems. On higher tiers you have more HP so making potential dmg constant diminishes the value of your previous pickups. Should I lose shells when upgrading to higher alpha? How does the HP come to the equation, if my potential dmg doesn't change how will I fight later? Plus in most cases alpha actually increases in the upgrades. I think modifying only future drops makes sense, based on your gun and level. But I have no problem with the current state of this. That's all from me.
The Valkyrie can work don’t get me wrong I have a whole video dedicated to that tank, but it’s undeniably the weakest one with a really bad gun. I wouldn’t consider being a damage sponge particularly fun gameplay. Also, higher alpha doesn’t need to lose shells, all I’m saying it’s not fun scrambling for ammo when you are already fully upgraded, like when you get to tier 7, this is the part of the game where you should be hunting other players, not ammo drops.

Similar situation, was camping zone of last two tanks, 3 kills 5k dmg pretty mid game. Then the 2 tanks fighting both die to each other and storm.

If you have an arlequin fast firing autoloader you get 10 rounds of each type for every ammo drop but you should get more in your supply of ammo

When the E3s start using HE to deal with armor instead of their 375 pen APCR, that's when you know you have an armor problem. You would think WG might have realized that the gratuitous armor was the cause and the HE spam merely a symptom, but alas.
1. I played today with landmines and they literally saved my life from a petty HT who was winning, so I kinda agree.
2. I tried playing Raven, but I always found some tryhard idiot who fought me 1vs1 at tier 1, so I didn't find the time to actually use the Trap and see if it was op.
3. I used Arlequin with HE shells, by mistake, and I didn't win the match because I was against a HT and I couldn't damage it, even by shooting the sides and the rear, so I agree.
For the rest, WG stopped being sane with Update 1.13, so it's pointless trying to reason with the company now.

I just lost a 1v1 with Bai Lang to a Raven. He used no consumables, i did both if mine, I hit every shot, he missed his first two, i healed in betwen his clips, and he still kilked me because he reloaded the last shell first. I had nowhere to run, he just had so much more dpm and hp, that he could have aforded to be an idiot and still win
Please make more rants this was the funniest thing I heard all day.
The top suggestion being: "Make it so chems no longer gets stuck ontop of the wrecks of destroyed enemy tanks". We don't know how he managed to do it, but he needs to get down WG.
What about the harbringer?
If you use the autoreloading gun, you have 270 pen on your heat round that deals 420 dmg and your first shell loads in 4.5 seconds. You have 5000+ dpm without berserk.
With berserk your last shell loads in 2.8 seconds, but your intra-clip is 3 second. This means that you have an autoloader for 20 seconnds with 3 second intra-clip, 420 alfa and enough pen to go through the kranvagn turret. Around 8000 or more dpm. The only downside is that you can't heal.I think it's broken but I want to hear your opinion.

Raven Trap is OP, I absolutly agree. If you are in a Harbinger you have no chance at all.
Valkyrie was good in first Stellhunter. There's no reason now to play it.
I agree for the most part, however, I disagree when you said that Walkure is pathetic compared to the Raven. "if the german is smart, he can just back his ass into a corner", and that way the Raven is far weaker, as he can not encircle the Walkure anymore, and has a really hard time penetrating the thicc german armour. other than that, fair points
i would change them into a connected field, which activates, say 0,5 sec after any impact and explodes whole, so you could actually bait it
when you started talking about the land mines I was like what about the OP trap that the raven has, and then you brought it up, and yeah the kran is steel hunter is even more powerful because of its upper plate that isnt a pike nose so you can angle it for more armor, and just face hug.
I totally agree with the land mines, but it’s arming time and activation range is absolutely whack to me. Whenever I’ve placed down a mine field, literally on top of my enemy, I’ve seen them drive over multiple of them (even saw the same happen to my platoonmate) yet they weren’t triggered at all. Meanwhile, I’ll be in the receiving end and immediately take max damage and tracking, *AND* they seemingly trigger by proximity rather than actually driving over them

Somehow the Beowulf can out ram the walküre if the Beowulf has the pike nose hull and the walküre is only level 4. So. Not only can it not be penned by the walküre, but the special feature of it can’t even work on Swedish tanks which are supposed to be extremely lightweight.
I won a battle with Valkyrie. Call me the unstopabble, but I must agree, that the tank is under his other performers.
The landmark i use for the fun to trash transition is the tutorial, the new tutorial doesn't even teatch you to lead the shots
Walkure is imo the best one there, its just that u have a skill issue, jokes aside, its arguably the best one in the game mode, it might not suit ur playstyle, but i won half of the games i played with it. Point is to use high alpha gun and not the dpm one, also mix up hull and turrets, i use armor hull and hp turret.
i dont even bother playing steelhunter anymore after the very first steelhunter release because of how they input their WG exclusive magic mathematical computations/laws/mechanics works in the game mode.
I thin lights are a bit ufairly treated. They almost never win heavies since they have so much hp that if you are stuck in situation where you have to fight one like at the end you are sort of doomed due to small space left on the map that is safe to use your mobility. I would really love if the vision of lights was quite a bit better in this game mode from the start too. So they have sort of early advantage. and not that many medium tanks have somewhat similar mobility to lights but much stronger overall stats
If you drive into land mines and you dont want to die. Just dont move for a little bit.Then you take zero damage from them.

Raven : YES (but I have a suspicious that Raven Enjoyer tend to more steel kills and ruin games)
Trap : YES YES
Ammunitions : Huragan with autoloader at level IV suffering (one day, I ran out of munitions because of the rate fire), so YES YES YES
HE Gun : YES, but sometimes I can pen the Bai Lang :)

The Varyag is rare enough now that I rarely run into landmines as an issue, the Varyag isn't that strong anyway. Best thing to do is keep your distance against Varyag and Raven so they can't trap you.
Also, way to nerf Raven's trap: Make it so it doesn't increase the reload of the trapped tank. the mobility nerf is enough IMO.
Rename Mines as "Skill Issue"
its so obvious what the tought process of wargaming is when reintruducing old gamemodes and making them "better". its goes like this:
1. Add new tanks to the gamemode that are OP and buff 1 of the old ones and leave the other 3 as terribly useless as they are next to the new ones.
2.Buff every overpowered toxic mechanic/ability so NOONE can have fun playing this entire game.
3.Money
New tanks are all useless except for bing chilling tank btw
8:00 at least on arlequin with ATMG, green loot give you 10 ammo of each type. Didn't check for other fast guns though
Make mine detection range to detect mines that are close to you , or if you are already in minefield and 1 mine from this is destroyed by you , all mines that are left from this minefield glow and only these people who triggered 1 mine can see where the mines are . Also you can destroy mines by placing another mines or by bombs from arlequin or by shooting at them
I really don't think it's as bad as this video makes it out to be, unless this is all supposed to be a joke. I think it all depends on playstyle. In a Walkure, I can completely walk all over basically any light tank with a engine power + hitpoints build and a speed boost. It's actually ridiculous how many ram kills I've gotten in it because in that part of the mode, it's just better. I get all my wins with the Walkure, because you can just run over the competition, you just can't get single hit ram kills against mediums. In one game, I ram killed 3 different light tanks on my way to a win. It's quite fun too...

Yes. The French tank is weak to all these but they aren’t overpowered.
most people equip the walkire wrong. you go for mobility with it. both in the hull and turret. and you are better off with the autoloader anyway rather than the alpha or dpm.
I can agree with this because having no pen with HE against spaced armor is ridiculous, you should not be able to sit and look at someone knowing they have 950 alpha.
All these op abilities can be avoided. Just don't get close to raven, look at the ground when fighting varyag, etc.
I would say that walküre is very powerful in solo mode again average players when used correctly. Low tier has good armour, now as you can get the turbocharger from green or yellow spots, it can ram anyone with 70+ kmh. That covers lack of dpm. High level has 3300hp and a 2! health restoration abilities. That is incredibly hard to kill for an average player. Walküre counters the minefield with 2nd ability. Fixes tracks almost immediately multiple times.
What do you think of arlequin's "bombs" is it balanced? It can be placed at any distance. It pens Light tanks for 800+ dmg if placed correctly, destroys modules, tracks and stuns.
Even thought I mostly agree with Chems as an old WoT player I have to disagree on the HE rounds. Even if an HE ROUND would have 200mm of pen the space would trigger the fuse and do NO damega to the tank. I don't say this to make matters worse with HE since i don't play WoT anymore.

Agree with the Raven. Its stupidly overpowered with its pen and trap. I am not the best of players, but definetely not the worst, and I still have a tough time going trough the fornt of the Raven, when its at level 7.

The Beowulf HP Heal ist just op you cant fight him for 15-20 sec or he gets a 1500 heal (the amaount of dmg you deal) instant while giving you a Clip of 1500 ... balanced or week you say?

I beg your pardon sir, the Valkyrie is not garbage. I was killed by one of them in a late game while using the op mines not once but three times; the guy was also fighting a Raven; he killed us both and survived and even fought an other Valkyrie and won the game. It is annoying to fight against if the guy in question has tons of heals.

make big alpha gun ammo cost less, especially on tanks like the T-44. If you use the 100mm it costs 252 per shell to do 250 damage. The 122mm gun on the other hand is worse in every single way except Alpha and Caliber and its ammo costs 1025 per shot to do 390! Its already bad in terms of dispersion, aim time, pen, worse cammo after firing, slows the tank. Lower the ammo cost on 122mm on the T-44. It wont even be overpowered if it costs 500 per shell.

Lmao Mines are op - the British tank has ab that literally boost his dps 3 times - that is op. In my opinion steel hunter is not meant to be fair, cause u can win in every tank if u know how to play and has like 60% of normal human brain. The only thing that they need to change is to spread spawns a little bit.

Mines
I mostly agree, but mines are beatable. If you stand still, they do nothing. My problem is that the varyag can ram you through the mines, constantly tracking and stunning you. I would remove the stun, then it would just lock you in place, which is fine imo.
Raven
I mostly agree again. The weakness is healing, I will come back to this in the heavy feedback. But the trap is OP, your solution is good but simply decreasing the range by half or removing the reload penalty would work too.
Valkyrie is trash
No. People neglect the MASSIVE HP pool and double heal. I was fighting valkyrie with raven the other day, and he was able to OUTHEAL me until the trap ran out and then just kill me. And in the early game, it is unbeatable, 1v1 stock everyone loses to it, you just don't have enough ammo.
Ammo problem
For me this is part of the strategy. If I'm low on ammo, I will be inclined to take higher alpha. But your solution has some problems. On higher tiers you have more HP so making potential dmg constant diminishes the value of your previous pickups. Should I lose shells when upgrading to higher alpha? How does the HP come to the equation, if my potential dmg doesn't change how will I fight later? Plus in most cases alpha actually increases in the upgrades. I think modifying only future drops makes sense, based on your gun and level. But I have no problem with the current state of this.

The Valkyrie can work don’t get me wrong I have a whole video dedicated to that tank, but it’s undeniably the weakest one with a really bad gun. I wouldn’t consider being a damage sponge particularly fun gameplay. Also, higher alpha doesn’t need to lose shells, all I’m saying it’s not fun scrambling for ammo when you are already fully upgraded, like when you get to tier 7, this is the part of the game where you should be hunting other players, not ammo drops.

They can`t buff walkure or nerf varyag. But they can buff varyag and nerf walkure more. Don`t you know? At wargaying games germans always have very bad tanks and soviets always have very good tanks.
