When pulling side sway out of frame rails, I find it’s easiest to have the old reinforcement bar in place and use that to pull from. It helps with getting both rails pulled and lining up the new rebar. Thanks for sharing.
Never ever be inline with the chain . Be off to the side 90° to the chain. And back a little. I've snapped a chain on the puller end , they'll do a lot of damage. Also the welding blanket or heavy blanket covering the chain is an awesome idea.
A couple of best practices are to have a safety wire as a backup Incase of a chain break or clamp slip. The second would be to hang a heavy welding blanket over the chain while pulling to avoid it flying too far if a clamp slips or the frame tears.
Hi, wish You showed how You set up the arms for that angle pull, where and how you attached the pinch weld clamps and how the arms connect on that side pull.
thats a great portable jig bettar than one them large ones in garages i just have the portable one that just does front or back of cars thats great for doing the sides as well your jig how much one the run to buy
Could You write all the main dimensions of the 5 star frame? I`m interested in width, height and lenght of profiles of arms, also dimensions of front central arm, thickness of steel in main support.
hey bro What kind of tool is the one you use at the end of the video, I'm talking about the one you introduce to the chassis. thank you so much for your help
alex rangel man i dont think its a brand. Maybe “China” brand? 😕The company “5 star” says they stock parts but I haven’t needed anything yet. They are definitely sourced from china so that may be a concern for some.
I have a cheap set up like the tree and come along i need to make a pull on a 92 civic driver frame rail it pulls my entire car not allowing me to get a 1/4 inch pull how do i keep the car from moving while making a pull?
S C the chain that came with this machine was a 3/8 welded chain. There were no specs on the chain strength. In the past i would use a standard tow chain you would see at Home Depot.
ResurWreck the front bumper holding bracket is mashed flat on the passenger side and the frame literally folded back onto itself, the tire moved back until it is dragging on the wheel well. Just on the passenger side. Of course the engine is back along with the frame at least two to 3 inches. No cracks in block, transfer case or transmission or no noticeable damage in the drive train. At this point, I’m wondering if a frame shop can do anything other than replace the frame.
Sunsettvu if its just the horns that hold the bumper on I’m pretty sure you can order from Ford or get used and they can weld on. Ive also seen aftermarket frame horns online. Regarding the wheel suspension/control arms might be bent and the body might shift on the frame a little. If the frame is too bent past the horns they might recommend replacing the truck frame. Used truck frame could be obtained reasonably cheap. Labor will be a lot. Some frame shops specialize in light and commercial duty truck frames.
You are my guy discribing his organic tree based car frame machine! Just add some chains, come alongs and pull clamps; pull slow, safe. You are developing DIY skill and satisfaction. If your in business, buy a frame machine.. and find storage when not in use.
Love the ad. And hopefully I’ll be getting one soon. There’s another one exactly like it but for about $200 cheaper and wonder if there’s any difference in between? Titled as Auto Body Frame Puller Straightener FREE air pump clamps, Tools Cart set On eBay Thanks!
Yasser Youssef it looks similar but slightly different, the rear arms look bigger, the pulling tower and the main hub look a little different and slightly smaller though. Clamps are slightly different too. Looks like the price has come down since I bought it too. No anchors are not needed. The machine is meant to be moved around.
Guillermo Rivera the machine is not perfect but if you need something that will collapse and you only have a small space to work with your options will be really limited.

4x4 between the tree and the wheel
@@ResurWreck somehow I knew the answer was simple and would make me feel stoopid 😄
What do you think about the 5 star 22 FEET 4 TOWERS AUTO BODY SHOP FRAME MACHINE worth the 10k ?
Ive never tried them, they seem like a good value but 10K could get you a decent used USA made machine too.
hi, could you please specify which size chain were you using to pull frames etc?

Funny I seen a garden on the moon last night
Bom dia
Aqui no Brasil não tem este tipo de ferramentas mais evoluída
Try using a safety chain. It is a smaller chain with a hook
How many ton pulling can the tower pull?
Ben A 10 tons on the tower.
I would like to see how you straighten a F150 2016 4x4 crew frame. I think mine is beyond straightening.
Haven’t tried a pickup on this thing yet. Stay tuned, i will try it.
