    Wow almost 10 years 🎉
Thanx a lot for all your great reviews.
Personally I’m a scotch drinker , but a Jim beam on the rocks is not too bad 😊

Thnx for the review … most skip over the budget stuff and a decent review is hard to find. I need to try the 2x oak and 7

Great for mixing with Coke. Jim Beam white, Evan Willaims White and WT101 are my go to mixers. I think the Jim Beam 7 is actually quite good neat.

I've been interested in the Black with the age statement now. Once my "budget" or mixer type stuff is gone maybe I'll grab one to use for that & sipping.
I don't mind the standard white label when it's the only thing available at a wedding lol.

I often drift towards a gin and tonic at a wedding if the whiskey sucks

Great video. The only thing I wanted to add is back in May 2024 Beam Suntory changed their name to Suntory Global Spirits.

No judgement. I hope someday you're drinking Glenmorangie Signet as your daily sipper!

I like the Jim Beam White because you can find it in every bar, arcade, bowling alley, whatever - regardless how terrible the place is, regardless how terrible their selection is, the place will always have Jim Beam. It's not my favorite, but I'm glad that I never stopped liking it because it's a safe choice that's always available.

Jim Beam Black 7 year is a great daily sipper regardless of how much you want to spend on whiskey.
Another expression I have enjoyed in the last two months is Jim Beam Winter Reserve. It’s a limited release, but it is relatively easy to find and still under $30.

White label is pretty much in every bar I’ve ever been too. Ok neat but best in coke and not a bad choice instead of JD for that. Haven’t tried the new 7 year though I’ve been looking for it. We still have the old Black label extra aged around here, which I like. Definitely agree with you on these.

I was bursting with excitement when I saw this drop! Now we need Jim Beam Over $30! Lol or at least the 108 Proof Single Barrel.
I agree skip the white label, I love the nose on double oak but the palate isn't for me. (I don't like double oaked stuff in general) I buy Black by the handle, and rate SiB as a stock it too. If you like Black, then the SiB is an amped up profile of that. And if you like SiB, the Hardin's Creek 2 is another even more amped up one, though hard to recommend at $80 unless you're a big Beam Fan. Cheers!

If you ever see a dusty bottle of Jim Beam Distillers Cut bottle from several years ago, grab it. Think it was a 2016 release that they made quite a bit of. It was under $20 and tasted a lot like the old Knob Creek 9 before it was replaced by a NAS for a few years because of stock shortages. Cheers Bill

Their 7 year black label is currently my favorite cheap bourbon without reaching for that beautiful Evan Williams Bottled In Bond

The history is interesting, it was originally Jacob Boehm (later changed to Beam) and he was born not far from Stuttgart in small city of Böhmenkirch, so basically immigrant from Germany... Or at least this is what Chat GPT found for me...

I was in Disney World in the fall. I went to the "market" at my resort to find any bourbon and ended up leaving with a fifth of white label (over Jack Daniels) to make my go to simple and yummy drink of bourbon and ginger ale. It could have been the being at Disney World (all the good and all the difficult), but that was EXACTLY what I needed. Not gonna drink it straight or anything. I've actually had that with some much nicer bourbons since, and I don't think they are quite as well matched. Perhaps that simplistic vanilla, oak, and caramel is perfect for a basic cocktail. I don't know what your plan is for your Manhattan video, but I wonder if testing a line of whiskeys like this in a cocktail could be cool. especially from the perspective of a whiskey snob (I think I'm just talking about myself) or connoisseur. Don't think the nice stuff does much to make a cocktail bettter.

That's the plan! Make a crap-ton of manhattans from a bunch of different whiskies.

Not a fan of Beam. Doesn't even taste good in a whiskey and coke. The only thing they sell worth buying, are their flavored ones. Sad really.
