I love your perspective and how you always keep it real Amy, I’m also a hobby consultant and I’ve been buying more vendor wax lately, especially with these changes I doubt I’ll purchase much from scentsy this year
I'm definitely continuing my no-buy with Scentsy for the fist part of the year. I currently have enough Scentsy wax to warm a new scent everyday for the next 6 months....LOL
IF YOU PREVIOUSLY WATCHED THIS ALREADY: I DID NOT REALIZE THE LAST 6 MINUTES OF AUDIO WAS CUT OFF! IT HAS NOW BEEN FIXED, SO JUST FAST FORWARD TO 22:00 IF YOU ALREADY WATCHED THIS BEFORE! SORRY GUYS! HOT MESS PROBLEMS! 😁
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I love Scentsy and I’m a long time customer since around 2009 or so. I agree that scentsy needs to make changes in their business because they are losing sales. I just think there are other ways they could have made changes such as in LTO‘s, licensed products, scent/warmer of the month, poor performers, etc. And Good leaders collaborate and use surveys to assess needs from customers and employees
Excellent video Aime! Well said. For me, I still can’t hear the audio after you take your son to the washroom 🤭 I was like “did she just leave us waiting?” Hehehe!
Hey. I missed the meeting due to work, but I wanted to say I work in contracts and licensing and I’ve worked with Disney, NIL, and others for my company and as a licensed vendor you typically pay a licensing fee to gain the rights and they a royalties on each item. I assume they are paying a large amount of licensing fees throughout the contract periods and sales may not be high enough to offset those cost, which may explain why they raised the price on those bars, warmers, ect..
I just checked dashboard original contract info is there as well as current chart before changes I suggest everyone get on and copy both go to bottom of page click on scentsy standards …. I assume we all signed this agreement meaning it’s binding if anyone knows a lawyer ?
Good point. I am a big believer on saving emails, screenshots, documents. i come from 10 yrs of telemarketing and then 7 years in a corporate world and let me tell you some of those saved things really saved my ass
Just to clarify if I drop to 20 percent because I am not active one month, do I go back up to 25 percent as soon as I am active, or am I now permanently downgraded to 20 percent. By the way Scentsy is supposed to give 60 days notice for these changes. I believe it is only 43 days notice they are giving us.
Any month you sell $250 or more, you'll earn 25%. Any month you sell under $200, you'll earn 20%. Your commission will change every month depending on your PRV.
if you are active that month (sell 250+ prv you get 25% commission and then it resets every month so as long as you sell 250+ prv the following month you will continue to get 25% otherwise any month where you sell less than 250prv you only get 20%
This morning’s pool of thoughts based on part of your video dialogue …. If part of the pitch really was “we want to go back to what worked before”, sorry, that’s hot air. They changed from what worked before because it stops working. You can’t go back to pre-online shopping which eliminated the main need for a direct sales consultant. You can’t go back to needs that existed before PWS was an option. We have access to sooo many retail items, you can’t undo that. You can’t undo knowledge given to people and expect them to behave and make same choices they used to that created profit back then. Go back is hot air, to me.
My internal battle is how can I justify high direct sales prices for items I may want. Flash sales, clearance, 10% discounts, B5G1, reward on purchases all help ease this price gouge. Become a consultant, slightly more discounts and more for your money spent. If they are whittling away at our discounts, then we are back to “is it worth the high direct sales prices??”
I'm just going to say thanks Scentsy for these changes you are saving me money. Canceled my website as the 2 customers I have that order off my site only order bundle and save bars, my family orders through me anyways. No site means no flash sale purchases saves hundreds. More money needed to close parties will take me more months to close so will go from 6 a year to 2 or 3 saves hundreds there also. My clubs i will let them ship cause I love every bar in them. Money saved on Scenty is more money to try vendor wax.
@@jacquelinesmith2553 I feel you 💯 this will be my last video addressing the changes. I’ve said my piece and we all seem to be in the same boat. I love having the opportunity to share my dead pan humor and sarcasm approach to the craziness and give you guys a laugh and break from reality. I truly love Scentsy wax and probably won’t stop using it as long as they stay in business but my shopping habits will definitely change going forward! Thanks for watching as always 😊
Thanks for the video I love your honesty and humor and giving us a place to vent lol. I will also buy Scentsy as long as they are in business. My husband wants me to quit Scentsy all together and he was reading off all these scents to me asking what sounds good and he put them in a cart little did he realize the shipping was way more than the price of the bars because it was from a U.S. Vendor lol. We have a few in Canada I'm starting to try so it might fill the gaps with not buying as much Scentsy.
When you have 150,000 consultants and only 39,500 are doing anything those at the top are going to suffer but by their own doing. 😬 Those at the bottom have suffered from the day they’ve joined. Many will just leave and bad mouth the company and it’s already happening with those leaving telling people to go to Walmart. When you see so many consultants are their own customer it’s breaking the 70/30 rule per the FTC and from what it sounds like that’s partially what’s happening. They’ve all been told that you can sign up customers just for discounts but by doing that you create a pyramid scheme where all the participants are part of the company and they lack customers from the outside. It’s why the FTC put the 70/30 rule in place from the Amway decision of 1979. Good luck but it looks like the writing is already on the wall.
When I first started buying Scentsy years ago (over 10 +) I literally had three different consultants trying to recruit me. Fought them off for a good long while but finally caved. I'm sorry that Scentsy is now regretting recruiting (very much encouraging) hobby consultants but hey you should've thought about that well before now. I'm over it. Love certain products truly do, but I'd rather support vendor wax at this point. There are SO many great small wax businesses out there that would be extremely grateful for Scentsy castaways 😂
Thank you for the video! I have a hard time with this “unsustainable” story when they’re off to Bora Bora, Greece, Mexico, whatever every few months. Then they build a new robotic warehouse - of course that’s just so they don’t have to pay as many actual humans - but how many millions did that cost? And you’re going to make that back by claiming Scentsy Spirit and punishing your sales force? Going back to a 2005 party mentality is just baffling. I’ll do the absolute minimum just to keep my club and hope the whole ship doesn’t sink….that would be sad indeed.
The new robotic system didn't reduce workforce at all so your assumption is incorrect. They are still paying the same number of humans. The difference is making the job easier for the humans. Instead of the humans running around to bins all day, the product is brought to them to fill orders.
Yeah, it is pretty laughable when he is talking about growth and sustainability yet they are in Cancun. I think the robotic warehouse was created to fix their shipping problems. Ever since they switched to the robotic warehouse, i have noticed packages arriving sooner and sooner; but I have also noticed more broken clams so theres that.
The majority of people will pay the extra to order online instead of dealing with an individual for the buy 5 get 1 free. They don't want the collaboration again and home party thing... they are banking on the fact that people will pay more to avoid the face-to-face interactions to save a buck. Considering that the buy 5 get 1 bar is probably their biggest money-making item, the bread and butter of Scentsy... that will make them a lot of extra cash by those few dollars extra ordering online. Hope that makes sense.
I dont think the mlm model is gonna be sustainable They cannot keep increasing prices Is wax!! $6 for a bar is very expensive already I think in the very near future the company is gonna switch to a different model Im a hobby consultant too, and honestly really love scentsy stuff so whatever money i can get back from my own purchases is ok
I'll take the 20% at least its something but I agree with Robyn that consultants should be grandfathered into the 25% as thats how it was marketed (certified for life)
I feel that the decisions Scentsy made has irritated so many people and that people will actually be ordering less. I know I will be ordering less from Scentsy. This then defeats them making more money.
Honestly, you can buy warmers anywhere and Swann Creek Candle Company has wonderful wax melts - they’re a larger size with an excellent scent cast. Save yourself the $250 a month to stay active and just purchase GREAT melts from a different company. Scentsy is dying and you’re going to have to find another product anyway.

Yes, every month that your quarterly club processes, if that club total is 250+ then you would earn 25% commission on that.
I'll do the bare minimum from here on out
Me too
One thing I have never liked is monthly website charge
Me either, i would mind if it was $5 but $15 is too much.
How long do think these partnerships will last when they find out about this? Oh the questions
IDK, depends on how long the original contracts were created for; I wonder how many licensed LTO we will see in 2025
