I’m so glad the Mario kart tour version was used, it looks so good. We need this version of the track in Mario kart 9!! Edit: I saw some people fighting about this. So I would say the next Mario kart game will be Mario kart 9, ultimate, whatever u wanna call it.
Yeah, but I don’t mind Tour’s look, since they made it look DECENT and not CHEAP and UNTEXTURED!!! They managed to texture the metal tracks, and it’s good enough for me to accept them porting the version from Tour. You just gotta fear about the Wii and GCN courses, though, since they don’t look as good on Tour…
They aren't direct ports, but the model work is. The textures, lighting, and various other track elements are redone for MK8DX. I also think that all the DLC courses look absolutely stunning, even comparing them to the base tracks. This opinion isn't shared by a lot, but I think they look better than the base tracks
If only the official version also had an anti-gravity section like what we find here. But I guess it makes sense not to, since this is a pinball machine. Just like the metal balls on the course, your wheels can roll al the way to the bottom rather than hover.
With the annoying possibility that this will be released in DLC wave 6 in December 2023. The world could come to an end before that, so Nintendo should not take the risk of delaying its release!
