I never realized how dissonant those synth strings were but how it manages to sound cool and give a cool unique vibe. You can hear the chord more clearly at 1:30 -1:34. This soundtrack is amazing for it's time.

This appears to be a well known mp3 that was ripped from the rom image. In this mix, the bass line appears (sounds?) to be buried. If you actually play the game, this music is in the background as you drive Mount Mayhem. Once you finish the race, and it displays the race results, I believe the game mixes in a louder bass line while you view the results. Anyone know anything about this louder bass line? I can't seem to find a separate mp3 for it, but I seriously believe it is in the rom.

I love the courses in this game. So many awesome shortcuts that you can take with such nice scenery.
A lot of them are detours but yeah this game's title is a good summary of the gameplay. Very cool exploration for a racing game.
