The voice acting in this is... extremely good. It sounds very Disney-esque. It's model voice acting for fantasy games. For everything this game did wrong, it certainly got the voices right.
That's cause the game has big name voice actors for some reason. I hear Steve Blum and Fred Tatasciore in this, for instance. Holy fuck, Simon Templeman too.

"Animations are bad" This game was made for PS2 in 2005 when this was the type of graphics we had back then and we didn't have amazing ones on the PS4 and Xbox One and also PC like we do now.

Cool. With all the clips put together, it's like a movie. It'd need some explanation scenes and transitions in between, but still. Thanks for uploading these! This was a fun game...and call me greedy, but later on in this game it's easy to get really rich, especially if you frequently cut down gold grass.
Fun fact: The actress who voices Lucy also voices Roberta.
This makes me wistful that that Neopets movie never got made. It's clear they had what it took to make it work - this game is passably cinematic on its own!

I HAD NO CLUE THERE WAS A NON STANDARD GAME OVER FOR THE FINAL BATTLE D: That's horrifying...and what's worse, it looks like The Darkest Faerie is talking right to the player...
I'm late to this, but here is a quick summary of my views on the game. I wasn't that aware of the Neopets before getting the game for my birthday as a kid, and I never got around to finishing it. When I was in high school I finally finished the entire game and thought it was fun. Both protagonists were fine, but I wish we got more to do solely as Robertta before she met Tor. My biggest complaint is that there are too many "points of no return" in that once you start a mission or fight you can't go back. There were also way too many armor and weapon upgrades to purchase, a few glitches throughout the game, and I do wish there had been a fast travel in the game because traveling acorss the entire world took too long. That said, I did like the story, side missions, and the various locations to explore. As a kid I avoided reading the books all over the place, but replaying the game I did and saw how much backstory and tips they provided. I also liked the various different kinds of enemies to fight and liked the twist near the end of the game. The boss fights for the most part were enjoyable but I am split on the Darkest fairy herself as a villain. Overall, I'm glad I finally played the game and finally finished it.
Over the course of the game, you meet a lot of the Altador ancients who are immune to the dark magic (Jerdana, Kelland, King Altador, Gordos, and Fauna). Torakor is there too but I don't think you ever see him once the clouds are introduced.
But you also meet Neopets that aren't ancients that seem immune to the magic (like the Meerca twins and Sophie the Swamp Witch). I've got a theory that the clouds only corrupt people who are good at heart, or the writers just didn't think too hard about who's controlled and who isn't.
The one that confuses me is the uni she rode in and out of faerieland on.

Warcraft's Arthas and Jaina in an alternate universe. Seeing alot of parallels between the two stories. Now we just need Tor to go all Death Knight crazy face.

I remember as a kid feeling so heartbroken over the beggar and maid who gave their amulets away thinking how they were possessed by the darkest faerie’s magic without the amulets. Also was so sad when Tor’s family was possessed.
