I love greyhounds and greyhound racing. I hate bullfighting but I never watch any videos of it. There are people who hate greyhound racing, it says a lot about them that they seek out racing videos to post negative comments. I do agree with the previous post where it should have said (some) humans are so stupid. If you don't like racing then watch something that you do like and grow up.
Sportsnight had the BBC TV Trophy heats and final from 1960 until 1998. I think BBC also showed some Greyhound Derby finals in the 1970s back when they were at White City.
The Greyhound is the dog most extensively trained to race and is therefore the fastest but any dog will chase a lure. There are other dogs that can rival a Greyhound in speed such as the Azawakh, Magyar Agar(resemble Greyhounds) for example but generally Greyhound owners properly train them and other breeds are not well trained except for the Sloughi and Whippet.
Those poor animals, I'd love to bring them home to live with me and care for them, keep them warm, nice and quiet nights in, watching movies, playing with them, taking them for walks to play with our relatives pets, and having nice food and bedding, unlike what they've got now which is a disgrace to the world, be ashamed of yourselves, there's more decent animals than there are humans, if there's any racing dogs that they got rid of because they decided they didn't want them anymore, let me know please someone on here, I'd love to give them everything I just said, like this comment if you agree xx
Just because there racing dogs don't mean there mistreated there is bad people but I think the Owners take well care for there dogs plus greyhounds love to run
OH YES!They LOVE to run ...do you know what is their terrible life?they live 3 years if they are lucky and enought fast,after if they don't win anymore they are killed.All the day in a small cage,no human contact,no friends,nothing!And when they become "old"(3 YEARS OLD) ,is finished!WHAT A WONDERFUL LIFE FOR A DOG!

Not sure can't even remember them showing it. I'd imagine it was on grandstand on Saturdays.

These dog are easily injured during the race and they get to only live for about 18 months. Stop dog race! It is bad for those lovely creatures!
