2:31 Nah. The new normal is to assume that the majority of people haven't seen everything since Endgame. Soooooooo, they're already shooting themselves in the foot by assuming the audience has watched every single one of the shows they're referencing. 🤷♂️
Spaceballs is such a classic. I'd love to see your reaction to it. Also, completely support you not waiting to react to Deadpool 3 for us. I wouldn't expect that from anyone.
Spaceballs is fun! Can't recommend it enough! My understanding about Captain Marvel situation is that people don't seem to like the actress. I don't follow celebrity news so I don't know the real details. All I know is that the Wonder Woman movies with Gia Gadot had nowhere near the controversy. Then again, people liked the first Wonder Woman movie a lot more than they liked the first Captain Marvel movie.
So, I know some of the issue with her is when Wrinkle in Time came out, she was on stage blasting critics for not liking it saying, “I don’t need a bunch of old white guys telling me what they didn’t like about a Wrinkle in Time.” Also, I don’t know what she did on set but if you watch the interviews with other actors in the Avengers they all clearly don’t like her. At one point she was trying to be friendly and jokingly patted Don Cheadle’s arm, and he turned to her and said (surprisingly coldly), “I told you not to touch me.” When she’s with Jeremy Reiner he appears to be leaning as far away from her as he can while staying in his seat. They’re actually kind of funny to watch.
I've tried a few since the first Iron Man and none, even the super highly rated ones really worked for me. So I know a little bit, but assuming I've seen like 50 movies and 13 shows or w/e is quite frankly insane. Imagine the next James Bond isn't understandable or enjoyable unless you've seen the 40 previous ones? Come on, that's just a bad assumption.
I agree with you in one aspect, but for those who are interested enough to invest the time and follow this interconnected universe, it was truly unlike any other film experience in history. Wanda-Vision with the context of the Infinity War/End Game movie was absolutely incredible, beautiful, heart felt.... it was easily the most entertaining and emotional a Marvel Property has ever been, and without all that history it wouldnt hit the same. But its definitely not for everyone.
Emilia Clarke’s character wasn’t touching a jump point or a bright light force field like when the three got entangled. Btw, Clarke’s character has the power of so many people but I HIGHLY doubt she is as powerful as Captain Marvel. Or as powerful as Mantis, or Drax etc…. She doesn’t know how to manage and use all of the powers like the OG. Sure it’s not on the same level.
Ok help me understand exactly how that worked. Danvers was using her powers. Rambeau was using her powers. Kamala was... wearing the Bangle? She seemed to be standing there doing nothing when the first switch happened.
Oh dood...yeah, you gotta watch Spaceballs.
Side note: how fekkin cool was it to watch Captain Marvel take a full headbutt from Thanos and just smile?

the movie had enough exposition for both Kamala and Monica's stories for those who hadn't watched the shows IMO.

Yes! Spaceballs is a parody of Star Wars + a bunch of sci-fi movies.
