Visability: Poor, as you can see in the video the water was murky to start with before all of us arrived and kicked up sand with the feeding fish.
Conditions: Fairly calm here since it is is the Hulhulmale Harbor area. Maa Giri was not far either but had a touch more current.
Specialities: This was our last day of diving and a new, local spot that has only been sought after for since around March 2022. We swam off from the wall into a deeper area where we saw plentiful stingrays scurrying around. When we reached 'the spot', the guide blasted his alt air stage to release bubbles to the top and signal to fisherman above to drop down the fish heads and carcasses from their previous catch. Suddenly it was a frenzy of fish, stingrays, spinner sharks and a swoop by of a tiger shark (my first of both!). To be honest, the spinners made me a bit nervous as they were super close. We made our way back to the wall and explored the critters there with better visibility. I was last left in the water with my DM when we spotted the tiger again, once behind us then in front, in such shallow water. Easy to admit I latched onto him around that time lol as we still couldn't see more than 8-10m away. Wild dive! Maa Giri after was a good pinnacle spot for macro. Battalankan was actually on Rasdhoo Atoll - not the prettiest of mornings but still a lot of life with sharks, turtles, and the giant bumpheads at the end.
