Skittle i need some advice on how to purchase digital pops. This droppp site asks too much information from me. They want photo ID and crap. Is there a way to bypass that? Is there another site? Also do they all have physical pops or are they all just cards? Thanks.
@@RukudoSage69 No you have to do the Id Verification and provide your SSN unfortunately. There are only 6 redeemables. the rest are just cards you need to collect for the royalty redeemable.

@@ShisuiDUchiha well its up to you really. im not gonna lie I thought I would never sell my pops but I have sold a lot. i still have over 240 but I've sold maybe 30 of my pops. i think whats only "necessary" is if you have pops that you really like and want to protect then you should get protectors. of course if you don't care about box either then there is no real point for protectors. just give it some thought about whether you want to protect the pops you value most. i also do enjoy chalice protectors too. they are very cheap and most of my protectors are from them. (I have bought from vaulted vinyl before too but chalice is cheaper for the same quality in my opinion.)
For paint pens you definitely want to go for oil based over water based, they dry quicker and last longer. Not to say water based are bad, I’ve got some that have come out great but you wanna get those in a hard stack ASAP to avoid chipping. I also feel Sharpie Oil Based are the best brand - source: 100+ and counting signed funkos 😅
6:05 I only own one youtooz, is from Rayman, a franchise I've been a fan of for over a decade (lot of time bcs Im only 23) I really don't want other tbh I don't like other characters to that level
It depends what you need them for. I find the cheap ones have always worked perfectly for me (that's cheap, not _the_ cheapest 😉). Also interestingly enough, when I last moved, the only Pop that got damaged was one in a hard stack. I think a little give in the plastic can actually help, again depending on the situation.
I met Chris Sabat in London back in May. I arrived at the con at 10:30am and met him at 12pm, it was a long line but soo worth it I also had to wait in line 20 mins to get a professional picture taken which wasn't too bad

You should have also mentioned that. Not all exclusive pops go up in price. Prime examples: The flash movie pop set, Black Adam pop set, justice league pop set, Netflix the Witcher pop set, the stranger things pop set. All in the 15$-22$ range each.😂🥴

Also I think I have like 200 something pops in 3 years ‘cause I have not so good self-restraint, I really need to start buying pops I love and less ones I just like, but I think I’ve been getting better recently
It seems the more I get into collecting Funko pops the more confused I get. So I appreciate your help. I guess I am wrong, I thought if say Entertainment Earth has an exclusive, they order a specific amount and they are the only place it will be sold first hand, no other retailers will get any, including Funko. So the reason I should try to buy exclusives, is that obviously one retailer can’t sell order or sell as many as every retailer having access. What am I missing?
I usually put release dates in all my news videos. Chalice is the only one that does pre-release pops right now that I know of and their shipping dates are listed on their product listings.
Great video as always. I’m an in the box collector. I also get certain ones autographed and quoted. Nowadays it’s 20$ for every 6 words for VA’s.😂🥴 Still worth it though, cause most quotes from the certain character are 🔥. Lastly, at the end of it. It all enters through your eyes then you want the item.😂
Great tips Skittle. I definitely made some of the mistakes you mentioned in your video :( My advice to collectors who's just getting started would be to be patient with commons. Some of them go on sale 1-2 months after release and just as you mentioned, they will come up with variations. Also, it's smart and good of you to mention your patrons before the video starts. Regarding autographs and paint pens, get yourself some good oil based paint pens, not the water based ones, they scratch way too easy. As mentioned, Deco and Sharpie are great paint pens.
Yes you can do that. The pop boxes are made in a way that honestly makes it impossible to really tell if they’ve been open or not. It’s by design. They are meant to be taken out of the boxes
likes - hard stack - Pop Armor soft protector - Vaulted Vinyl or PoppinDuo or 7BAP IF you like tabs(i dont so its a dislike for me), ecotek dislikes - hard stack - funko branded, gamestop branded soft protector - any protector that isnt .5MM thickness or greater. the VV guardians that are .7MM but they arent worth the extra $ IMO
Well… if Funko survives it will literally be a miracle because the direction they have taken has driven a lot of us to stop collecting, the fact that this symbiot suit Spider it’s the 6th one already it’s tiresome. The only ones that should’ve been made was the Walgreens exclusive and the Christmas Funko shop exclusive 😮💨
Really appreciate the video, but it seems to be relevant only for people in the US 😔 where I live there’s barely any shops that sells pops (even if they do it’s like the same commons everywhere and hardly any exclusives), and even if they do it’s really expanding like 20$ for a common. So I end up paying more because I need to order from the internet and pay extra for shipping and stuff like that. It’s hard being a collector outside the US 🥲
It's easier to do a video living where I live vs. doing a video for you guys, unfortunately. I have a little bit of knowledge but not enough to really do a helpful guide like this one for overseas.

I totally agree with you. In Canada, Hot Topic will only get 1-3 Hot Topic exclusives (no chase and 2 max/person) on day 1 and they won’t get any restocks. But when I see SkittleRampage’s videos, those exclusives are just sitting on the shelves in the US Hot Topic!

On the topic of book shelves Target also has a good book shelf similar to the Walmart one. I have both and like the target one better in my opinion.

Don’t get the cheap pop protectors but get the pop armor protectors or other good options and hard stacks are an amazing investment

It doesn't really affect them they aren't originally sealed from the factory. As long as you're careful and don't damage, them you're good.

Yup it’s mainly the “pops under 300 figures ever made” that go up crazy in price. For the most part, pops tend to stay around original retail

As long as the box isn't damaged, I don't see the issue. Funko boxes were never sealed.

Deco and Sharpie are the best oil based paint pens. Deco has a bigger variety of colors. Sharpie dries faster
