Sounds like you want Iran and Russia to be the world's main powers leaving the US to be a "has-been" power like Spain or the Qin Dynasty. Do you think Iran and Russia would serve your best interests? We spend 1% of GDP on Israel to keep a military and intelligence presence in the middle east (where terrorists are spawned) and 0.35% on Ukraine. Failure to address climate change will cost much more. The U.S. has sustained 376 weather and climate disasters. The cumulative cost for these 376 events exceeds $2.660 trillion. You are penny wise and pound foolish.

In the aftermath of Helene, benefit from my misfortune and do not compound your problems: beware of an outfit called “Samaritan’s Purse’. These people showed up in my neighborhood in NJ after Superstorm Sandy offering to help. I was away at the time and my wife let them in. The end result was over $10,000 in property stolen over a couple day period. SP disclaimed any liability and said they really didn’t do any background on their volunteers and didn’t even have records of who they were. So proceed accordingly.

What about the Great Hurricane of 1780, only the deadliest Hurricane on record. Was that also weaponized weather? How about the September 1848 Tampa bay hurricane? That one was so damaging it razed to the ground much of the area. It even changed the topography and geology of Pinellas county, forming inlets. It formed our beloved Johns pass. How about the October 1921 Tampa Bay hurricane that brought a 10-12 foot surge, leaving many neighborhoods in complete rubble. These latter ones were 100X worst for our area than Helene was. They all occurred during the same months of the years too, September and October.
