The father of my grandma was a soldier of the 6th german army and fell in Stalingrad. We don´t know where his grave is. One day, I will visit the city. Thanks for this video :)

The savagery of this battle was above and beyond most of the battles in World War II. The fight for the Grain Elevator alone was extremely vicious. 50 Russian soldier defended it for 3 days against a German division and basically defended it to the death. Then there was Pavlov's house and on and on and on with these little little battles within such a big battle. Incredible heroism from the Russian soldier during this time.
It's not just Russia's role that gets entirely overlooked by the US so that they can claim they won it single handedly. It's also every other allied country....in particular the colonies (South Africa, New Zealand, India etc..) that get entirely overlooked and never mentioned by the US. And anyone who is intellectually honest will admit that Russia's victory on the Eastern front is almost certainly what allowed the Allies to win.

And also.. I think in most cases, the Sabaton fans are happy with you choosing the live performances, but they have a couple of videos that it's just a sin to miss. They have a few others that are really good too, "To hell and back", "Fields of Verdun", "Uprising" and probably some more that I have forgotten, but they are not on the level of the big 4.
In the US, it was the Cold War following WWII that caused us to down play the role of the USSR in the conflict. With the immanent threat of war it was not politically advantages to recognize the sacrifice and heroism of the political adversary. It is not right, but it is what happened.

I feel the fear, sorrow, anger and hopeless denial of every one who died in vain for the sake of the priviliged few. Edit: I, some times, want to find a desolate place where I can scream until my voice is nno longer there, because I often feel the screams of the past demanding their voice.
While you are absolutely correct in that it was Russia who did the heavy lifting against the germans, I'm not so sure that the poles, hungarians, romanians and so on was so happy about the russians "saving" them..

Despite what people may say, I believe that every single soldier deserves to be remembered, allied and axis, not the SS, they were a “government agency” filled with cowards, but aside from that. Even the Wehrmacht had aside some pretty impressive feats and honorable moments

I mean i had read somewhere that after the battle of stalingrad those german refugies was given prunes pudding,juice,raw prunes and only that for days,so the russian take them out on the streets for an kilometers walk,than after comes back with the refugies to make them clean up their mess

Axis nations, in particular Nazi Germany, wanted to exterminate the Slavic people, for them they were like Jews, they already had plans to exterminate 70% of the Russian population, the Soviets fought to defeat a genocidal dictatorship that wanted to annihilate them . The famous quote about the war being won with British brains, American brawn, Russian blood. It was the Russians who turned the tide of the European theatre before the Americans had even mobilised. Britain had won in the sky and were beating the Italians in Africa but didn't really have a way of going on the offensive after the fall of France at the start of the war.
Anastasia - I promise you, there are plenty of Americans who have taken the responsibility of learning the _actual_ history of the world. We know who really did the brunt of the work... and who suffered losses more than all others _combined._
agreed though it was definitely a team effort as America supplied Russia and Britain with equipment and food and such well before we joined the war. If America never got involved even with supplies at all I truly think the Russians would have stopped them eventually but it would have been much much worse.

Everybody but the losers think they won WWII. Russia sacrificed the most ppl against the Germans (as an American, Russian soldiers are honored and never forgotten). The US Navy sank every single Japanese warship from aircraft carriers to battleships, down to corvettes. Every trade ship and most of their fishing boats. US Army, Marines, Brits, Ausssies and Kiwis took every island in the Pacific and pushed the Imperials back to the Home Islands. My Da was first wave, Okinawa. No Russians. He and his buddies took it. Thank God for the Bombs afterward. Everybody did their part. For lack of one, everything would have fallen apart.

Everybody but the losers think they won WWII. Russia sacrificed the most ppl against the Germans (as an American, Russian soldiers are honored and never forgotten). The US Navy sank every single Japanese warship from aircraft carriers to battleships, down to corvettes. Every trade ship and most of their fishing boats. US Army, Marines, Brits, Ausssies and Kiwis took every island in the Pacific and pushed the Imperials back to the Home Islands. My Da was first wave, Okinawa. No Russians. He and his buddies took it. Thank God for the Bombs afterward.
Everybody did their part. For lack of one, everything would have fallen apart.

Like the song 'Uprising'. What a load of myths and 'western' lies.
I love to watch the youtuber called TIC. He is making the longest documentairy about a single Battle, the battle of Stalingrad.
Soviet (propaganda) wasn't always right. But the post war American (and western Europe) stories weren't true eather.
Like TIC said, the truth is in the debate.
I Always loved Sabaton. But their songs are just simple Wikipedia songs with no research.
And that is wrong!
