Great lead to better golf. I will be practicing this very constructive advice. In Ben Hogan’s Power Golf book he talks about digging in with the inside of his right heal before he begins the backswing. This power move gets the right foot very involved in the golf swing. By stabilizing the right leg we can get proper hip rotation. The right side is a very powerful force in the golf swing.
@CogornoGolf - what muscle or body part are you using to initiate the throw? I’ve been working on the swing concepts that you and Trevor Salzman presented back awhile…relaxed but structured… I feel like (and the launch monitor verifies it) my swing speeds suffer when I try to throw from the forearm as I’m rotating … feels like I lose the centrifugal momentum from my torso and hips when I do so… Thanks Eric… as always, love your videos!
Thanks Terry! Send me your vids to www.cogornogolf.com/freetrial so I can see whats going on The right arm throw is chest--->shoulder--->elbow/humerus--->flex tricep
Damn Eric you must be intuitive. I have consistent difficulty maintaining good contact and these drills look like the answer to my problem. Look forward to my next time to the range but I know I can work on them at home. You really are the best. Stay well-Russ

Great lesson. A very light grip is crucial to a successful golf swing. Helps with everything, at least for the athlete….
Thanks David!
always like to think of it like a firm bounce pass in basketball...good lesson
I like that!
