love it, this is one of their best if not THE best. just a brilliant vibe, brilliant funky flow. and the drums are fucking fantastic! thumbs-up on both hands!
I agree with this persons opinion, under the impression they're really quite knowledgable. I haven't even heard of alot of the words that were used! But 'wiv' and 'imho' paint a powerful message of understanding their topic. Thank you harryspoonpotter, you tool of youtube :)
holy shit I usually listen to marilyln manson pantera and nine inch nails, so I listen to heavy music, but franz ferdinand is so good, I just can't stop listening to it! especially this song, it's magical!
@jayindie93 That is an AWESOME video idea-never would've considered doing something like that. I would've LOVED to see that! Maybe you could pass it on to them ;). Heh. I love this song, it's one of my favorites from the album. Got a '60s sort of Zombies-ish vibe about it. Track 4 seems to be where the band puts some of their best songs on each album-this one, "Walk Away" on the 2nd album, "Dark Of The Matinee" on the first...
1) Alright, It's been killing me, so I just want to describe the video idea in full detail. This may take a few posts, so bear with me. Alex would be the leader of a notorious mob in the 1960's, who is feuding with another territorial mob. Alex(known as Dante Vicenzo) has 3 main main (played by Nick, Paul, and Bob) who help him do his dirty work. Their headquarters is situated across the street from Manger, a fancy Italian restaurant, where Dante catches the eye of the beautiful Lucia Portono.
Ya my favorite song from the new CD. I do like the new CD but why did they have to change? There old stuff was by far the most refreshing and catchy stuff I had ever heard.
6)Ezra tries to get up, as Dante looks through the broken window. He angrily rushes downstairs. Lucia quickly grabs the phone and reports the incident. Officer Noor receives the update, and calls for backup. Dante is now seen running down the street, gun in hand, right behind Ezra. At 2:54, Ezra tries to run the coner of the street, as Dante lines up his shot. 2:56 Ezra is shot in the back and falls to the floor. Dante is seen with a grimacing smile. 2:58 a swarm of cop cars arrive at the scene.
3) In the next scene, Dante sneaks into Manger when Ezra heads to the bathroom. ('Well I don't mean to claim or own you...") Back and forth frames between Dante and Ezra talking to Lucia. Dante then sees Ezra at Lucia's apartment, indicating that they may have just gotten through with intercourse. Dante picks up Lucia's sheets, sniffs them ("still warm fold of your sheets..") When "Send Him Away" is repeated , many frames of murder are shown one after the other. Bob is killed during this scene.
@Trigger07: I TOTALLY agree, it's not that they don't make good music, it's just that their songs ALL sound the same (or at least the same feel), which is why I like Franz much better- they have a wider range of songs.
2) In the first scene, Dante is sitting in his swivel chiar, staring out the window, as Lucia walks into Manger with Ezra Ferucci (the head of the opposite mob) and glares with anger. He slowly turns around when he hears his men bring in a brutally beaten cop who's been on their track for years now. When the line "well I don't care his breath.." several angles of the beaten cop are shown, and Dante flicks his wrist, allowing the boys to finish him off. Two flicks of the wrist means Send Him Away
4)Officer Noor, whose brother was killed during the first scene, hopes to avenge his loss by ridding the world of Dante Vicenzo.(1:38-1:44) Noor watches Dante head back to HQ, while patrolling in his cop car. The next scene involves anoher back and forth between Dant and Ezra with Lucia at her apartment. They both urge her to let him stay the night, but she tells Dante no, only because she had just finished telling Ezra yes. Dante laughs as Lucia flicks her wrists as if to Send Him Away.
5) (2:20) Dante appears at Lucia's door with a bouquet of flowers, thinking she was joking when she said no. He walks in to see Ezra caressing her while standing next to the bed. Ezra gives an intimidating look, and pulls out a switchblade from the backpcoket of his suede pajama pants. Luckily, Dante pulls out his gun, and locks and loads. Lucia get in the way and urges him not to shoot.Dante points the gun at Ezra, then Lucia grabs him and pulls him down. Ezra jumps out of Lucia's 2story window
The lyrics are "Still warm fold", not "still on fold". Aren't they? That's what it says in the album booklet, anyway. One of my fave songs from the new album.
Just fucking awesome!!!!!.... really love the rythm of this song... now O´m wondering wich one is my favourite.. send him away or Fade together... opinions???
hmmm... difficult one. i was thinking a lot when i wrote the lyrics. are you sure it's ''warm''? if you really saw it on the album booklet, i'll fix this. tnx
@DelphinusMAch1 I could've sworn "Bite Hard" was about a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde couple,who went around committing several crimes. I see where your coming from with the whole religion thing, but that was just a metaphor, and the reason it's called "Bite Hard" is because the two are always breaking up and getting back together, so when they commit a 505 (grand theft auto) they have so much to say, but bite their tongues instead, because they're still being chased by the cops.
Fellow youtubers! I apologize for narcicistic abuse of public posts, but I really want people to tell me what they think of the video in its entirety. Please read from the bottom up!
This album is far deeper and better-done than the preceding two. The preceding two were fairly standard in subject matter, though much more interesting than most pop-rock albums, but this album is like they took a cheesy pop album and made every song its opposite. Ulysses - Drugs are GOOD No You Girls - The problem is with the MAN Send Him Away - I DON'T feel jealous Bite Hard - NOT believing in God is liberating Live Alone - NOT cohabiting is awesome.
Dat bass. So freakin awesome.
This album cheers you up,Franz Ferdinand are right:"You can listen to this album before going out." :)
i really love the beginning, the bass, the background and the chorus...So "eclectic" song & rythms! :)
0:00 - 0:12 - Loveee that guitar opening
It's glorious
hope they do play it live sometimes! love the summer vibe it has = D
The sound detail at 2:08 makes the entire song better
I LOVE Franz! Alex is amazing, hopes from Argentina!
love it, this is one of their best if not THE best. just a brilliant vibe, brilliant funky flow. and the drums are fucking fantastic! thumbs-up on both hands!
Loved it!! Awesome song
Nice Bass!!!!!!
Genial tema!!!
Esta canción es increíblemente genial! Mi preferida... BRILLANTE!
I feel so related to this song that scares me
I agree with this persons opinion, under the impression they're really quite knowledgable. I haven't even heard of alot of the words that were used! But 'wiv' and 'imho' paint a powerful message of understanding their topic. Thank you harryspoonpotter, you tool of youtube :)
i dont think theyve changed at all and i dont see why people say that. they sound the same and by that i mean amazing :D i love these guys!
Where is this band, nowadays??? COME BACK!!!
Nick left the band, they are gonna release another album without him
And they are back!
Douglas 8504!!!!!!!!
@CRO875
Dude, this track is just killer! A classic tale of the temptress and the tempted, with an Italian mafia twist. How could you not love it?
holy shit I usually listen to marilyln manson pantera and nine inch nails, so I listen to heavy music, but franz ferdinand is so good, I just can't stop listening to it! especially this song, it's magical!
I love you too, kind madame. Thank you ever so much for that comment. You have made my day. :)

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Though it's weird, I love how the song completely changes pace half way through. GO FRANZ!
i like everything about this songg

This reminds me of Tom Petty's Breakdown song. They're totally different songs though. Franz Ferdinand FTW!
I love you.
Think i´m getting this album, i like the keyboard in the back, reminds me of the doors :D

@TheJovanist
Why thank you, good sir! I just have a very vivid imagination. :D
what is that instrument from 1:42-1:49??!!!? I here it everywhere
thats a synthesizer my friend :D
I'll double check...
Yeah, it says "The still-warm fold of your sheets". :3
Am I the only one who likes Feel the Envy a lot more than Send Him Away? I know that Feel the Envy is just this remixed, but I like it more.
Alguien puede traducirme al español la cancion porfa! :(
its like proper old school franz ferdinand
it sounds like 80's until 1.55 and then it gets like 60's haha...cool
great idea! lets film it ;)
7)Dante is seen within the confines of a prison cell, and flicks his wrists at the camera, as if sending it away. An epic end to an epic tale.
@foreverbells
Thank you! I have knack for these kind of things...perhaps I'll grow up to be a director...
The lyrics are "Still warm fold", not "still on fold". Aren't they? That's what it says in the album booklet, anyway.
One of my fave songs from the new album.
sometimes they sometimes muse
according to my mood
send him away, please
@n200518
I am truly humbled. I suppose I should take up writing/directing, since the concepts I come up with happen almost instantaneously.
Just fucking awesome!!!!!.... really love the rythm of this song... now O´m wondering wich one is my favourite.. send him away or Fade together... opinions???
TELEVISION!
Will you post their new songs when the album they say they're going to release this year? Please?
@jayindie93
wow, that sounds amazing. they totally should've made a video for this song.
hmmm... difficult one. i was thinking a lot when i wrote the lyrics. are you sure it's ''warm''? if you really saw it on the album booklet, i'll fix this. tnx

@jayindie93 you should know that I made an effort to log in to like your beast of a comment
This is like a typical gaelic song, but from the future
@hellsugaroO
It would have to be a non-canon video, and besides I CAN'T lip-synch to save my life...T_T
@jayindie93

This riff is almost a copy of Solitude by Black Sabbath. Well done hahaha
Are you deaf
Nah sounds like the kooks a bit
then they would not be Franz Ferdinand but another stereotypical band
idk the beginning has like an awesome pirate theme to it lol I LOVE THIS BAND THEIR AWESOME
