    Woooo… Nostalgia time!!! I used to live for Leslie’s presentations of bareMinerals on QVC back in 2009/2010. I think that’s when I seriously became interested in makeup, actually!!! Everything was loose minerals back then (with this brand) and people loved it!!! I vividly remember watching a presentation where she was selling 100,000 kits per MINUTE in the very beginning of the presentation. Literally. Not exaggerating at all. I was one of the 100,000, of course!!!! 😁 I still have many of the loose products. I kept ALL the brushes. I just couldn’t declutter those loose eyeshadows, blushes, and “face radiances”(now called highlighters!!!) They perform exactly as you said: they melt into the skin and blend like nothing else. I am not a powder foundation person, but I have definitely heard that drier skins do really well with bareMinerals foundations. Oohhhh, the memories. Now I have to go get my loose minerals and play with them. I also remember Leslie saying they have no expiration date. They’re (or at least were) all minerals with nothing added to them and brushes never touch them, as you work from the lid with a teeny bit of the loose goodness. Sure enough, mine still look brand new and they’re how old??? 2009, you say??? Oh, they’re just three years old, then. 😁😁😁💖

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 года назад +3

      Yes ha ha exactly! Only three years old! But that does tell you something about the quality of these products. I know that they are not editorial darlings but this brand has so much to offer. These products are very good and anyone interested in powder would be crazy not to turn to them. Definitely nostalgic and definitely still relevant!!!!

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty Oh, absolutely!!!!! The quality is OUTSTANDING. Anyone who has ever tried the brand has to agree. Is this pressed powder foundation still all minerals like the original?? The original bare minerals made my skin look flawless when I was younger. I’ve tried it again now just recently at age 54 and it wasn’t so good. I think the pressed powder looks better now with other foundations, as long as I prep properly, so I think I might give this a shot. Thanks Rebecca. That Wayne Goss brush is the best!

    So, I have been using the BarePro liquid and powder foundation since they came out a few years ago. I have not tried this reformulated version yet (I will soon), but let me tell you, the BarePro line is very underrated. It is fantastic. Honeslty, it's my favorite foundation line to use. It's better than my beloved Charlotte Tilbury, better than NARS, better than Dior, better than all of them. BareMinerals knows how to make foundations. People think I have perfect skin. They don't realize I'm wearing foundaion. I am. I'm wearing either the liquid or the powder BarePro.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty

      I love this comment, Holly, because it is so true. We all buy into the hype. And we are all seduced by the names like Charlotte and Natasha. But, the fact of the matter is, these folks know what they are doing! This is a very good foundation. All of their products are very good. They are just not sensationalized, for some reason, by the editorial press. I believe Wayne Goss does sing their praises but, other than him, they do not get enough attention and they deserve more!

    • @hollyalwaysjolly9123
      @hollyalwaysjolly9123 2 года назад +1

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty Exactly! I'm totally guilty of buying into hype, but that's one thing I've decided to change for 2022. So far, every new release I've tried from Charlotte, NARS, etc., have greatly disappointed me. Bareminerals is tried and true. Their lip products are incredible, their eyeshadows are amazing, it could literally be my one and done brand. The Strength and Length mascara is never talked about and it's amazing. I highly recommend the BarePro concealer as well. It's a stick concealer, and it's fantastic. If you like Cle de Peau, but you don't want to spend the money, try the BarePro concealer instead.

    Correction on my comment: the loose foundation back then DID have an expiration date because it had SPF. I was only talking about the eyeshadows, blushes, and highlighters. But I didn’t really wear the foundation, so no biggie. It is/was a great foundation, though. 🙂🙂

      They really just deserve so much more attention and, even with the SPF, you know the stuff lasts longer than my $175 Tom Ford that I had to throw away because the SPF went off in liquid! Not that I am bitter.

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty Exactly!!! And I would be extra deluxe bitter with 10 layers of bitterness on top. I just looked at the original foundation’s ingredient list, including the SPF. It looks soooo pristine; like I just bought it!!! It has stood the test of time. The SPF is gone, of course, but the foundation looks and feels brand new. 🥰💖

    How does it compare to Mac studio fix powder foundation?

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty

      This is a great question. I am very familiar with the Mac product but, admittedly, it’s been forever since I have played with it. But I think we all kind of have it etched into our memory. The Mac powder is much thicker, much more prone to caking up and has much more coverage. The Mac product absolutely goes powder and sits as powder on the skin. The Wayne product is Cream from start to finish. So much so that it needs to be set with either Waynes powder or another powder of your choice. And I think it’s the finish where the products differ the most.

    Remember that BM needs to be well buffed in for best application.
