I first heard Mary's Theme with bagpipes and a young woman danced ballet with dry ice on the stage of Judson College, Marion, Alabama, 1979. I wish there were a recording of her dancing.

John Barry was a genius. I have loved this score for about 40 years.
And he was going to be a school teacher. An absolute master master Of all the music he wrotewrote Arnold Bourbon Amaral 🤗😷
This movie, Mary, Queen of Scots, is on my list of favorites. I hope that one day it will be available to stream 🙂

Nice music, although the film seems to get harder to watch with each viewing if for no other reason than because of the inaccuracies.
