    Nice use of the Video Assist to embed the audio 👌 that was slick.
    I find, Macs can be a little unreliable when it comes to sending out lots of outputs (especially with PowerPoint). I use a Windows laptop with a Startech Dual HDMI adapter, which allows me to send both the Presenter View and main out via the two HDMI's, by setting one of the external HDMI's as the "Main Display" which will default it to the presenter view (accomplishing the same job as your 2 macbooks).
    For confidence monitors I have seen some people use Guitar or base stands to hold up lighter TV's and for more robust screens, they used a guitar amp stand (which gives the Ideal 45 degree tilt).
    In terms of recording the output from the PC's I use OBS on each laptop to do a basic window capture and output via OBS (which also lets me do things like overlays and custom stage displays on the fly. This is instead of having the use of a Hyperdeck.

    Thank you for sharing your video, I love live production. I will recommend you to bring your own speakers for venues like this, a pair of QSC K12’s will save you a lot stress and you have full control on the room.

    for feedback check out the Behringer Shark series; I've had great success with the Behringer FBQ100 especially with single person portable setups with sensitive podium mics and monitor speakers; and bigger setups basically put it on the output of the mixer so can have a physical volume control if digital mixer controller stops; i have two for L+R and just recently got the FBQ1000 but haven't played with it enough to use for a live event yet.

      Those were the venue’s cameras that we were not allowed to use. We weren’t even allowed to have the passcode to the wall panel to pull down the projection screens or adjust audio levels of their mics.

    Thanks for the video, very complex audio routing there. I have a question for you, I have seen that you provide a HDMI and Wireless transmitter to the lectern/podium for any laptop use, question is, how do you share that on zoom if the laptop has powerpoint slides and yet zoom down scales the quality if used as a camera input? Is there a way I can share that lectern laptop as a second camera in zoom to have high resolution slides? Thank you

  • @jonmurray1353

    I see the same dual PowerPoint laptops in most of your set ups. Is there a special reason you don’t just have one laptop for PowerPoint and output the slideshow screen to an HDMI splitter or hub, then out to all the displays or switcher inputs that need the PowerPoint?

    11 times a year I do a hybrid event in a cinema; big enough we need podium mics and venue has no in room audio except for HDMI; as its a cinema not designed for conferences; am using the atem extreme iso at the moment the room audio delay is too much; and onsite speakers get the echo brain shutdown so to "fix" use a mixer and lug a couple speakers there and do all the audio myself.. but effort to hump in and out adds another 20mins to setup; etc
    wondering if you ever done a video/had to solve this. Looking to upgrade to a constellation 1/2me but I'm thinking something like going further to have a 60hz output in addition to having an audio embedder closer to their HDMI will reduced the effect/lag and maybe do some positive sound re-enforcement? expecting will get some feedback issues as well as the speaker placement currently avoids it and don't even need to do active suppression/feedback destroyers.

  • @ashleyhill7737
    @ashleyhill7737 Год назад

    re using the room audio; how did you find the audio delay for this venue? Personally I've had lots of negative experiences with room delay to the point I hump in some speakers but I mostly done small and cheaper venues where one or two 15inch speakers will cover it.

      Yes usually we have table cloths, tech drape or facades but unfortunately on this event we did not. I agree it looks better hidden.

    Great walkthrough! I'm a little unclear on how the de-embedder solves the loopback issue. Wouldn't you still have the same issue of the audio that you're sending to the room being included in the XLR out you're receiving? Asking because I just ran into the same issue a couple of weeks ago (Crestron systems are the bane of my existence) and 'solved' it by including a separate speaker just for the audio from Zoom.

    • @A2ZProductions
      @A2ZProductions  Год назад +5

      Yes there is still a little bit of a loop back issue which I got around by just muting the mic icon on zoom itself when a virtual presenter started speaking. Then unmuting when someone in the physical space used a mic to ask a question. Pretty manual work around but it worked well in a pinch.

    • @A2ZProductions

      Again I was told that the venue was providing sound, mics and audio board which was not really the case.

  • @XTremescenes1

    So I have a question for you. What if a room presenter wants to speak back and forth with an online presenter? The way I am routing audio out of zoom right now is it comes out of my zoom laptop and into my audio mixer and into the room speakers from my audio mixer. I use the auxiliary out potting down the zoom input so that it doesn't feed back. However, when the in-room speaker speaks through the in-room microphone, it goes out to zoom and I presume it would come back in to my zoom laptop because they're having a dialogue back and forth. How do I handle that feedback? Echo

    Thanks for sharing. I’d love to see a schematic of some of these setups. You’ve got some amazing creativity-it’s fun to watch your solution to the challenges you face. What converters are those? I’ve been using the BMD bidirectional converters with my setup. Are they rack mounted or just velcro’d in? Thanks again.

    Hi Brian. Thanks for this. Q: Why do you have 2 laptops with the same slideset instead of just 1 with 2 outputs (presenter view and presentation itself)? I've had the latter work fine (even if setting it up is a bit finicky)

    • @A2ZProductions
      @A2ZProductions  Год назад +4

      Good question, one is a backup if it’s not being used for presenter view. also for when preparing next speakers slides while current speaker is up for seamless transition, always good to have a machine ready to pull up whatever client needs last minute. Mostly just backup though.
