I got this guy, and returned it. I respent the money on the deerc h16r. It is smaller, missing the extra body, but has pretty much everything else. It's also brushless, and so so stupid fast! I'd prefer it be the standard metric 1:10 scale orr the standard 1:10 imperial scale. Lol, yes I know, it's called sarcasm.
When you said 380 motor my first thought was it's going to be like the old Grasshopper that came with a 380 motor. He didn't have much speed but it had great run time. Obviously, it's not durable because when you went quickly from reverse to forward the gear stripped. Kids would be doing that all the time. I wonder how Hosim would react if you contacted them?
Amazon has Laegendary Thunder at $106, 1:10 Brushless RTR, doesnt seem that solid, mine broke pin holder and some servo saver parts on a crash, i ordered metal versions and will see how that goes, anyway, its fast on 2S and supports 3S, take a look if you can, seems a FTX clone for very little money.
As far as lack of power, the 380 sized motor should have given you a clue not to have high expectations. My neighbor bought that model after I told him not to. He wished that he would have listened to my suggestion and got the X08 instead. I have 2 of them myself.

Yes! That DeeRC is a pretty good one!
Hosim has been complete junk in my experience..I will never buy another
I have typically had really good performance from their trucks- especially the smaller scale.
Could not agree more brother , diff metals are garbage mines broken for like the tenth time and I’m tired of fixing it
