This seems the sort of place where an episode of “The Fugitive” could have been filmed., i.e. Richard Kimble finds a quiet town to hide in and gets spotted in main street for being the only guy about. Seriously, Rainbow looks pleasant but I dare say that of the half the shops actually in business, half of these are probably someone’s labour of love or hobby, in that these are probably not profitable. Rainbow once must of had twice the population it once had. It’s hard to say what can be done to make country towns like this viable but at least Rainbow is neat and tidy looking. That’s a start. Running regular train services to relatively nearby Horsham might make a difference, too.
