  • I use the Ventrac 4520N, the KL480 Tiller, KP540 Power and HE480 Slip Scoop to cut into a steep bank to reduce the grade and create a gravel driveway access to this property.

      Thanks! I appreciate that, Benjamin. I've been using this equipment for a very long time and get a lot of enjoyment in moving earth and creating new terrain

    Nice outcome! It never gets old seeing what can be done with the Ventrac in capable hands! ...Less than 1 minute in and the Grammer seat is earning its keep. 😆I like that the tiller is not just a garden attachment! It's very effective. How well would the KD dozer blade have done for some initial movement of the gravel? I know it would consume extra room on the trailer.
    The video was done well and really captured the transformation. Thanks for sharing this effort!

      I debated taking the Dozer Blade but I really didn't see it doing something that I can't do with the bucket on a job like this

    👍 Good video! Thanks! It’s very helpful to have the 3pt hitch so you can use two attachments!

      I thought of fabricating one to fit the hitch arms. I don't rent stuff. If I need it enough, I buy a good one

    the Ventrac is a very unique piece of equipment, however, its primary and MOST SIGNIFICANT attribute is its ability to cut grass and thick brush on steep slopes in a safe manner. i do not believe the above video provides a lot of acclaim for the Ventrac. yes, it was able to cut a steep slope down to build a new driveway. but the amount of time, effort, and variation for doing the above job was vastly more than what a full-sized or mini compact tracked loader (CTL) could have done. if one invests the large amount of money required to buy the Ventrac and a few of its implements, i guess you would be locked-in to trying to do as many jobs as possible with that machine no matter how much time and effort was involved. but i just don't think the above video is a good "sales" video for the Ventrac.

      Jim, I do not represent Ventrac in any official capacity. I don't get kickbacks, incentives or commissions from them and I don't create videos to sell the brand. There is definitely a place for heavier equipment on certain jobs but I don't believe there would have been any significant advantage for them here. This was a small job and overall done in a very timely and efficient manner. I have my business centered around the capabilities of a Ventrac which makes my RUclips channel unique. Yes, there are other channels on this platform that have a Ventrac, but they also feature many other types of machines as well. People watch my videos to see what Ventrac can actually do and to get my brutally honest opinion about them

    another reason for me not to use my ventrac for a skid steer job.

    • @bluecordprecisiongrading2504
      @bluecordprecisiongrading2504  Год назад

      It's true that a skid steer or a track loader can get a lot of work done, and move material on a larger scale than a Ventrac. I've used track loaders in the past on much larger jobs but I can do a lot more things and go more places that a loader can't. A skid steer would NOT have made it up that steep bank that was just over 30 degrees. No skid steer is rated for grades that high but Ventrac is. My customers also greatly appreciate how much this "little" machine can do without tearing up their beautiful lawn in places they don't want disturbed
