I went to Heroes con back in 2016 and it was a great time. I have no idea how its been in recent years though. I kind of got away from comics in 2018. You are so right though about prices being crazy now. I feel like any good deal is super hard to find.
Cons used to be the place to find great deals but it's the total opposite now, at least in NY. A lot of vendors still price their books with 2021 prices but the market has dipped considerably in 2 years.
