I love Klean Kanteen not only for the quality of its products but also for the company values. I was looking to get a new cap and this is the perfect review. Thank you!
finally got one, the new 40oz Single Wall then found an older 64oz Single Wall at a thrift store, one little tiny ding and for Christmas 2023 I got the 32oz Thermos with insulated mug I prefer the un-painted wide mouth styles so far I like them...
Hi! I'm in Vietnam and I just got my 2 Klean Kanteen bottles (TKwide and the single wall). I've been looking online but I only found 2 shops that sell. They're quite expensive than some bottles here but I still wanted them😊. However, the single wall smells like a moth ball, especially the rubber part. I think it was stored for a long time or something. I tried washing it with baking soda, liquid detergent, and vinegar but the smell is still there - and it's quite strong😔. Can you please recommend some tips on how to remove then smell. Thank you so much!😊
Super informative video! I really want the straw cap, but can't decide on the 20 oz or 16 oz. I would be using it for water. I feel like the 20 oz would be nice, but I worry that it might be too heavy and clunky. Anyone use the 16 oz one for water and love it? Am I going to hate the 16 oz and wish I had the 20 oz?
I am hesitating between a 20oz classic and a 20oz tkwide as a water bottle. my only concern is that the classic's shoulders make it look like the liquid will rush to your mouth all at once when it gets past them as you tilt the bottle. Can an owner enlighten me?
You are right, if there's no lid on a classic bottle the water rushes out at a certain angle. TKWides are actually great to drink from without a lid on.
I just upgraded when my OG classic was finally roo damaged beyond repair. I've only owned it for a few days, but in general: They're basically more of a cup than a bottle. The sides are straight, there's no taper, and there's actually no threads that hold the lid in place. Instead, they've created little circular dents that are spaced in such a way as to replace threads. Again, if the lid is off it's basically a cup. I have the twist cap right now, it doesn't seem to leak unless I swing it around and cause centrifugal force. Can't drink carbonated stuff from it for this reason. Also can't drink hot stuff because... reasons? They say the metal straw, but the part your mouth touches isn't anywhere near the metal straw. The paint job is way different than the OG powder coat. Kinda looks like an egg shell. We'll see if it can get that classic well loved chipped look as if it did a shift in an industrial sandblaster. Cleaning is... complex for the lid. I wonder if the smell problem has reduced... The tkwide seems to outperform the classic by miles so far, but only time will tell for some things. I am... adjacent... to engineering. I have a bit of insight into design processes, and the TK wide definitely has a LOT more design hours spent on it. More complexity isn't always a good thing, but I'm optimistic.
Anyone find that the paint chips easily with their TK wide bottles? I bought two recently and both had either a chip on the outside or was chipping at the mouth piece. They were brand new, so I was surprised that this was already happening.
Been using the single-walled 800ml classic for years now, got a nice patina and everything. One issue I have is the splash of water in the face while drinking. I recently tried the sports cap, and it drinks well, bit it leaks in my backpack and it has more parts so it's harder to clean. I am not sure I really want to carry the extra bulk of an insulated bottle. I will only use it for water and I don't really like ice cold water. What do you reckon, will the single walled wide mouthed bottle be a good option for me? Or I better stick with the face full of water option?
That's a great question. The TK references the closure of the bottle. We're assuming TK stands for Threaded Kanteen but do you know what... We're not 100% sure so we'll ask them.
hello vid! i have the tkwide collection (12 and 20oz) with the cafe cup... then bought the 32 oz tkwide with the chug cap... i want to buy the twist cap version... so i can bring to the gym... now if im going to interchange the plastic straws underneath... for the sizing... should i buy different plastic straws for the sizing underneath or does the plstic straw it comes with can be slided up or down the steel straw? ;)
The pour through was released after we made this video. The cap is identical to the TKPro if that helps. We made an awesome reel over on our @babipur Instagram showing the pour through in action. It keeps drinks cold and keeps fizzy drinks fizzy too. head over to check it out
@@fudgelollollol I think you’re right. I THOUGHT that might have been it but wasn’t sure since they didn’t mention it specifically. I’m so unfamiliar that I wanted to 2x check. 🙏🏼
The one I got is not shown, Its a Single walled "wide mouth". Was curious if I can use mine on an open flame too purify water while out in the woods?
I bought my Klean Kanteen TKWide 32oz yesterday and I love it.
Im about to buy one, can you use it without the straw?
@@igee1605I bought mine with the regular lid/cap for better insulation.
Super helpful. Thank you. Great products. Love.em.
We love Klean Kanteen and have built up quite a collection. Great quality and used everyday!

Great overview! For outdoor use, there are also some bottles with a wider opening that can even be used to boil water over a fire.
Hi, thank you for your videos. Is a same twist cap can be used for both for both TKWide 20oz and 32oz (946ml)?

Does the single walled 27 oz fit in a car cup holder?
Depends on the car but the single walled fit nearly all car holders. TKWide fit most but not all as they're a bit wider
What does TK stand for in TK Wide please?

Tq for d review!
It’s pronounced “lonjevity”, not “long-evity” 👏
“Insulated”, not “inshulated”👍
He's from Australia
The pronounce schedule, and vitamins weird too
😂
