I think the reason it's like that is maybe because the old earbuds' weight is distributed to the back. And how the apple airpods is so good because the shape hooks onto your ear so it doesnt fall out so easily. Besides, im not only talking about samsung earbuds but bean shaped earbuds in general.

It literally has a completely different shape and design then the apple watch and the only correlation is an orange strap that can be easily customised to another colour. And also that the watch is also somewhat similar, but to say that Samsung copied "directly" from Apple and not from another source is not exactly true (and the watch looks quite different from Apple's, not to mention that Samsung used the "Ultra" branding before Apple)
