Indeed, i just sigh everytime when the episode is just normal without the supernatural, it's like a cop show. we have had enough cop shows to last like forever, everything else are reboots.. lmao without even counting the many movies, it all feels like propaganda to like cops.
Well you can read Lucifer comic book the show was inspired with however I must warn you Lucifer in the comic book is nothing like in the show he does not care about humans and he is a cold cosmic being who wants to live and act against his fathers will.

Try out Lucifer comics if you want to see Lucifer in his full Devil glory...But dont expect him to act like the one in the show,there are no detectives and Lucifer is nigh omnipotent genius cosmic entity with his own goals that you follow anyway check it out if you want more of lore and supernatural
Yeah he poses philosophical questions to the reader about free will, the entire vertigo print of Sandman and Lucifer is great.

We loved the first 2 seasons and then...Ahhh! The ‘Pierce’ has become a long boring arc, that repeats everything that has happened previously. And honestly watching his character is like watching a boulder act. I know the writers can do better. The show has lost its hilariously silly easter eggs referencing other shows and some of its wit. (ie the white horse...) We are crossing our fingers for a 4th season. We also discovered that watching it without commercials really makes the episodes more fun and intense (and make more sense). Maybe if a network doesn’t renew it netflix or hulu will.

They need to fucking let Chloe know he’s the Devil. It’s getting old now how one episode they’re super close then the next they’re mad at each other, but then make up the next episode and then repeat. They should mix it up and maybe do some supernatural cases mixed in with the normal cases. I think it’d be a cool mix for season 4.
It's very likely they are saving that as the reveal/cliffhanger for the end of season 3, so they can change up the dynamic for season 4.
I agree, it's been way too long. Besides, how is Chloe going to feel when she finds out a bunch of other people around her already know?
To me it felt like the end of season two was that cliffhanger and season 3 Episode 1 just should have revealed it. It was so annoying to see him trying to show her who he is and then the devil face was gone and it was never talked about for the rest of the episodes that where released since then. I mean he has his wing if he really wanted to show her than why not show her that. I mean I get it the wings aren't what he wants to identify whit but it just feels so forced and so drawn out it's annoying. Some Season 3 Episodes where really good some were pretty bad but even the good ones are allways overshadowed by the fact that "Chloe doesn't know". Just turn the page and get over with it start new storylines start experimenting get rid of the one Case a week format. The should start playing with what happens when a Celestial falls in love with a mortal. Why Chloe is so special and all that stuff is whay more interesting than a stupid, and most of them are really stupid and are just used to move the real plot along, case. The should keep the cop aspect but play it down a little make it less of a procedural show.
@Robert Schneider: I'd really like it if they did that too and dug into the actual source material that the show is loosely based on. The Lucifer comics are some of the best ever written (in my opinion of course), and it's a shame so much goes to waste, but I think a lot of that has to do with being on regular television, worried that both the audience won't take to it, and probably limited budget as well.
The show is entertaining, but could have been amazing if it was released somewhere like Netflix without all of the restrictions. It would be nice to see it take a 'Person of Interest' type turn though and fade out the episodical nature in trade for a more epic and long lasting story arc (and I don't mean drawn out type of long arc like the 'chloe doesn't know crap' arc, which as you stated, is annoying).
Shannon Shifflett I totally agree!! And the person of interest comparison is on point. Person of interest went from procedural and simply “saving lives”, to a fantastic transition into the overall arc. They went so much deeper with the story. I like the humor that Lucifer has, but there’s a point where the show just becomes a joke itself. I love it, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like their too focused on dragging the show out now that it has received good viewership. The only thing they’re accomplishing sadly is a decline in ratings. I hope they learn from this I really do because it would kill to have this canceled with the amount of potential it has.
Making season 4 ALOT darker and more vicious is a MUST to avoid cancellation.The cartoon-ness is what keeps the show from being great.
Ehm, the cartoonness is what keept the show from being cancelled in the first place imho - it's supershallow, easy to digest and an shitload of fun, turn up the draaaahma and you get ordinairy soap (boring shit) or boring action movie-stuf
Exactly, it being so shallow is part of it's charm. I think maybe they could do a balance, though? Introduce some of the elements from the comics, or Lucifer being more "devilish", without throwing in too much as too make it an effort to watch.
The cartoon-nees is what makes this show great. One of the few things I hate about it is that they allways find a way for him to not tell it to Chloe. The should finally get that over with. Also less focus on the Police work. Maybe cases that span for more than one episode and some more supernaturla stuff. Just not to much as one of the great things is how human the devil is.

I agree, I would love it to be "Darker" again. Like example Season 1, Episode 02, how he really messed up Jimmy's mind, and that whole scene of Jimmy banging his head against the glass. It was a "Whoa" spine chilling moment for me and I want more of that!!! :D

I want to see Michael. I know Amenadiel is kind of like Michael in the show but I want to see a comic accurate live action portrayal of Michael Demiurgos. I also want a darker Season 4. I like Chloe but I want to see the darker side of Lucifer, the explosiveness and the power. He is Satan after all. I love the show but at times I wish it was more like the comics.
The show is its own thing,the comics are to hard to adapt I mean is like on a universal scale...But I would love if they made an animated version of Sandman,Lucifer and Hellblazer with Tom Ellis voicing Lucifer I think it would make fans of the comic books happy and of course it should be in 2D

CarVie16 The opposite actually, I'm soo tired of the Lucifer humor, he doesn't behave as the Devil, as he used to in S1 & S2. Now he is being a clown and in some scenes and its 99% in the end of the episode, the last 30 secs thats hes treathing and himself.

I mean they did It in the first and sec seasons but then when everything got solved with his mother etc, I feel like Lucy became more like you say a clown. I only recently discovered Lucifer since it was picked up by Netflix. I love everything about the show. Great casting, writing, style, you name it. I am hooked.

I don't know, I'd like to see him darker and less childish or making puns all the time. He should be darker, smarter, and flirty of course, I mean he's Lucifer, he lived so long he should know a thing or two about how to track down a person or solve mysteries...
If you want that then read Lucifer comic book and some Sandman ....Lucifer in the comic book is much different then the one in the show he is still charming but he does not care about almost anyone including humans he is manipulative and nigh omnipotent as well as almost all knowing and intelligent but dont worry he has quite the struggle in the comics ...

The show is amazing it has so much elements to it like it can make you sad,smile,cry and sometimes mad but yeah it's amazing between light and dark and in the grey
I loved the slight change with the angel wings etc, but I want to see more of him as a devil, see more involvement of hell and possible some sort of clear message from his father (god) and something to get you on the edge of your seat.

Tom has good taste. Since Lucifer is now gonna be on Netflix, we could maybe finally see more darker toned, supernatural stuff. If they take that turn it should last 4 more seasons (or even until Tom gets sick of playing the character).

I wouldn't mind a season 4, this was a guilty pleasure show. And some of the scenes in this series are amazingly powerful.
Season 3 has been rubbish.If they manage to get a green light on season 4 they better get a grip on the fact this show is about the devil not some crappy second rate detective show.
kevjards I think season 3 was full of ups and downs, there were some great episodes like episode 1,3,6,7,9,10,12,13,16,17.
The others were ok and some were just bad
It's an ensemble show, and the other characters need to get some screen time too. Once people have had a little turn in the spotlight, it'll go back to being more about Lucifer again for a while. The writers are always caught in the middle with this kind of show though, no matter how screen time and plots get divided up, someone is always going to think they "did it wrong", because they would have preferred something different.
It's always been a cop show with the devil.
I think it has a good chance it will get darker, since they did a checklist of cheesey episodes, I literally can't think of anymore silly episodes (school reunion)

This show, Lucifer is not the only show I really love and want to be continued. I also want all the CW shows to be continued too. This means Supergirl, The Flash, Gotham, Arrow, The Legends of Tomorrow and even iZombie. Besides Walking Dead & plus Supernatural. I love all these shows and I really want all them to keep going for as long as they can!!!

I like the way the show is going so far I just finished it a few weeks ago and I loved it
Bring back the Season 1 and Season 2 writers and directors. Season 3 has been a disaster. Its not about being 'darker' or 'more super powers'. This season lacks any sort of character progression, in fact they've gone out of their way to 'roll back' most of what happened in Season 2. This is, at its heart, a character drama. If there is no character arcs/character progression it gets boring real quick.
Most of Season 3 its been clear the writers just ran out of ideas/plot points; and then resorted to weak Hollywood cliche's as filler. Compare, for example, Cain vs Malcom. Cain is boring, 1 dimensional, and his motivations don't even make sense. Some sort of immortal emo, with no foresight. There's no reason for him to be there apart from 'we need a love triangle'. Malcolm on the other hand was a great villain. His motivations were clear, he was exceptionally creepy, his actions made sense, it played out so well.
The 'drama' between Dr. Linda and Mazikeen feels like something out of a Friends episode (I mean honestly Hollywood, how many times do we have to do the whole 'I should tell then, but I'm afraid to tell, but they find out, queue drama'???). Lucifer went from being dark and powerful to Chloe's flamboyantly gay partner, Amenadiel is a complete joke. And fire Tom Welling, the guy is a terrible actor, a cardboard standin has more depth than he does.
Yes!! Shake the table with this truth! Lucifer has absolutely turned into a flamboyant gay caricature, Amenadiel was interesting in sn 1 and now it's like the writers don't know what to do with him, he's just there for a pointless/forced romance with the therapist and Tom Welling is just there to snarl and grunt. You wonder what was so great about him in Smallville. I wish at least they could do sth with the (possible) supernatural element of Ella's character but...sigh
Didn't he say in this interview that the whole writers team hasn't changed since the pilot??? Something about them liking the show as much as him, and the rest of the cast I believe without going back to that part of the video. Though, gotta say you're right on the money with your criticms of Season 3 for sure.

I have to admit I like re-watching the epis from season 1 and 2 more than those of season 3.
Lucifer went from hell to earth and now he is in limbo (not the best spot ever) and the character of Cloe gets more "barbiedoll" every single episode - she started out as a dedicated cop and a single mum with a lot of confidence, now she is back to being a spineless schoolgirl-cliche to be flattered by guys and running after them instead of taking the lead in the work-related-things like she used to (Pierce is not that much @ work so no excuses there).

Oh how much I would like a darker season, yes I like humour and light sometimes, but I feel like this show would benefit heavily from a less comedy approach, and of course less of a romantic thing season (s)
I don't think so the comedy part and not taking itself to seriously, and self consciousness, is what makes it so great. Kinda like deadpool albeit very different. I just think it should be less cliche more like the first Episodes also less cop show and more "relationship" not romantic ones but weird situations would be great. Also Chloe has to finally find out who Lucifer really is and then has to embrace that. I was really pissed that he didn't tell her at the start of this Season. The whole scene with him beeing unable to show his devil face to her was just horrible. Also I agree with you that it should be darker in some points but I would like it too show of that twisted kind of humor more. Where something dark doesn't seem so dark anymore because of the "devil's outside perspective". The show has so many great things the could go on just making it darker would destroy so much of it's potential and of what it was that made it so fun in the begining.
Robert Schneider oh yeah I do agree, I wouldn't want it to lose its humour, I like it it having some comedy, I would just like it to be darker at times, like when it was abit darker, slightly more violent and felt more like it was a devil and felt like there was more there than just light comedy, well I was more compelled in the story. So really I just want more of a mix. And yeah him not telling Chloe was stupid but I couldn't care less about that romantic devil side, I just find it abit tiresome, but I get why people do like it.
The fact that he's the least devilish person ever in this interview shows that he's a truly great actor. Completely different person.
